JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Darius L. Coleman, 34, of Jamestown was charged with two counts of second-degree harassment, first-degree reckless endangerment, first-degree attempted escape and making a terroristic threat. Officers responded at 4:18 p.m. on Sunday to Robo, 817 N. Main St., for a reported harassment. An investigation determined that Coleman allegedly held a gas nozzle toward a victim, depressed the handle and attempted to use a lighter to ignite a stream of gas at the victim. The victim was unharmed. Coleman was located a short distance away, and while escorting him into the jail, he attempted to run out of the jail area. Coleman was escorted back into the jail, where he reportedly spit in the officer’s face and threatened to kill officers. Coleman was being held for arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

¯ BUSTI — Ryan Robertson, 47, of Jamestown was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana. Robertson was stopped Friday on Hunt Road in Busti for a traffic violation, and after reportedly failing several field sobriety tests was taken into custody. Robertson was allegedly in possession of two bags containing methamphetamine, a pipe containing methamphetamine residue, four Percocet pills and three marijuana cigarettes. A check also determined his driving privileges had been revoked multiple times for alcohol-related offenses. He was taken for a blood sample at UPMC Chautauqua and later transported to Chautauqua County Jail.
