JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Rafael A. Rodriguez, 66, of Jamestown was charged with DWI, DWI per se, unlicensed operation, uninspected motor vehicle, moving from lane unsafely and failure to turn as required. Officers observed a vehicle at 4:17 a.m. on Sunday traveling south on Washington Street. Rodriguez was found to be operating the vehicle in an intoxicated condition. He was transported to Jamestown City Jail and held for arraignment.

¯ Shane E. Dalrymple, 43, of Falconer was charged with no/inadequate lights, insufficient turn signal less than 100 feet, no/improper signal, DWI and DWI per se. Officers observed a dark vehicle at 10:18 p.m. on Sunday driving on Allen Street without headlights on. Dalrymple was later found to be operating the vehicle in an intoxicated condition, and a chemical breath test determined he was twice over the legal limit to drive. Dalrymple was released to appear in Jamestown City Court later to answer the charges.

ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Sierra D. Rishel, no age or address given, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Officers stopped a vehicle at 4:40 a.m. on Monday. Rishel was reportedly found in possession of a suboxone strip. Rishel was released to appear in Ellicott Town Court later.

¯ Amy L. Baker, 37, of Jamestown was charged with DWI and leaving the scene of a property damage accident. Officers, with the assistance of the Lakewood-Busti Police Department, responded at 8 p.m. on Thursday to a crash on Fairmount Avenue. One of the drivers reportedly left the scene, but the victim was able to follow the driver to their residence in Jamestown. An investigation found that Baker was intoxicated and was brought back to the town of Ellicott for processing. She is scheduled to appear in Ellicott Town Court later.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ SILVER CREEK — Jason M. Kovel, 20, of Cheektowaga was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, improper or unsafe turn without signal and passed red signal. Deputies stopped a vehicle at 2:34 a.m. on Saturday for an alleged traffic violation. An investigation found that Kovel was operating the vehicle while intoxicated. He was released with tickets to appear in Silver Creek Village Court later.

¯ MINA — Mark L. Moore, 64, of Mina was charged with DWI, DWI with a BAC of 0.08% or greater, speed in zone and failure to keep right. Deputies stopped a vehicle at 12:44 a.m. on Saturday for speeding and crossing the center line on Route 326 in the town of Mina. Moore was allegedly found to be intoxicated. He was processed and released with tickets to appear in Mina Town Court later.

¯ MINA — Halli J. Buchanan, 24, of Jamestown was charged with felony DWI, DWI with a BAC of 0.08% or greater and moving from lane unsafely. Deputies responded at 3:36 a.m. on Saturday for a property damage crash on Route 430 in the town of Mina. Buchanan was determined to be intoxicated, and a check showed a previous DWI conviction within the past 10 years. Buchanan was held for arraignment in Chautauqua County Jail, and is scheduled to appear in Mina Town Court later to answer the charges.

¯ FRENCH CREEK — David J. Weschler, 36, of Waterford, Pa., was charged with DWI, DWI with a BAC of 0.08% or greater and failure to signal turn. Deputies observed a UTV being operated on French Creek Mina Road in the town of French Creek. The UTV was also observed failing to make multiple turns. Weschler was later found to be intoxicated. He was released with tickets to appear in French Creek Town Court later.

¯ BUSTI — Derek P. Smith, 57, of Ashville was charged with DWI, DWI with a BAC of 0.08% or greater and no/insufficient tail lamps. Deputies stopped a vehicle at 8:02 p.m. on Friday on Baker Street Extension in the town of Busti. An investigation found that Smith was intoxicated. He was released to appear in Busti Town Court later to answer the charges.
