ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT
¯ Kylie L. Pavolko, 32, no address given, was charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident, felony driving while intoxicated and felony aggravated unlicensed operation. Officers responded at 11:13 p.m. on Monday for an accident on West Fifth Avenue and Alleghany Avenue in Celoron. According to a witness, a female operator exited the vehicle following the accident and left on foot. As officers arrived, the woman ran from the scene but was located a short time later. Pavolko was taken to Chautauqua County Jail for arraignment. Officers were assisted by Sheriff’s deputies and Lakewood-Busti police.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
¯ Joshua W. Plymel, 23, of Jamestown was charged with speed in zone, failure to keep right, DWI and DWI per se. Officers stopped a red SUV at 1:12 a.m. on Tuesday that was reportedly traveling across the West Third Street bridge at a high rate of speed. An investigation determined that Plymel was operating the vehicle in an intoxicated condition. Plymel later provided a breath sample that showed his BAC was nearly twice the legal limit. He was released to appear in Jamestown City Court later.
¯ Demaris A. Stewart, 49, of Jamestown was charged with DWI, DWI with a BAC more than 0.8%, driving without lights and obstructed view. Officers stopped a vehicle at 9:11 p.m. on Monday driving north on North Main Street without lights. Stewart was found to be intoxicated following an investigation. He was released to appear in Jamestown City Court later.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
¯ Mervin A. Miller, 25, of Jamestown was charged with DWI, DWI per se and failure to keep right. Officers were called at 1:26 a.m. on Sunday to a single-vehicle rollover crash on Lawson Road in the town of Busti. Miller later provided a breath sample that showed his BAC was 0.16%. He was released with tickets to appear in Busti Town Court later.
¯ Ramon A. Mora, 21, of Florida was charged with petit larceny. Police alleged that Mora took $43.95 in merchandise from Walmart around 5:30 p.m. on Monday. He was released with a ticket to appear in Busti Town Court later.
NEW YORK STATE POLICE
¯ GERRY — Michael Austin, 39, of Cassadaga was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. Austin was stopped Sunday on Route 60 in the town of Gerry for a traffic violation. A check determined his license was suspended. A search of the vehicle turned up bags containing 9 grams of methamphetamine, a glass pipe containing methamphetamine, a digital scale and a cut off straw and a spoon both containing methamphetamine residue. He was processed and transported to Chautauqua County Jail for arraignment.
