Fredonia Police Investigate Burglaries

FREDONIA — The Fredonia Police Department is currently investigating a series of residential burglaries in the village.

According to a press release from the department, the burglaries happened during the overnight hours of Friday, Sept. 20, through Sunday, Sept. 22. The burglaries were committed in the areas of Central Avenue, Lambert Avenue, Newton Street, Green Street and Center Street.

“While many of tenants of the apartments burglarized were not home at the time of the burglaries, in a few instances the subjects where surprised and scared/chased off by the residents,” the release states.

The investigation is continuing and the Fredonia police are asking village residents that have exterior cameras to check their footage and see if they have any subjects on their cameras during the overnight hours.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Fredonia Police Department.
