Drugs Found After City Traffic Stop

Two Jamestown residents face charges after Jamestown police officers found drugs, drug paraphernalia and packaging materials during a traffic stop Wednesday on Allen Street.

City police officers were patrolling the Allen Street area at 5:53 a.m. Wednesday when officers reportedly saw a black GMC pickup truck fail to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of Allen and Winsor streets. Officers learned the driver, Malcolm Bull, 28, of Jamestown allegedly had a suspended driver’s license and had drug paraphernalia and packaging materials while officers report finding a large bag in the bed of the truck with more than 16 ounces of marijuana. A passenger in the front seat of the truck, Lovella Kellom, 32, of Jamestown, allegedly was found with 4.7 grams of methamphetamine and 19 bags of heroin.

Bull was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, operating out of class, failure to stop at a stop sign, second-degree criminal possession of marijuana and second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia. Kellom was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminal possession of marijuana.

Both were taken to the Jamestown City Jail until they could be arraigned.
