CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ POMFRET — Jordan Moreland, 32, of Fredonia was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se and failure to dim high beams. Deputies at 1:59 a.m. on Saturday observed a vehicle fail to dim its high beams on Route 60 in the town of Pomfret. Moreland was identified as the driver. He will answer the charges in Pomfret Town Court later.

¯ DUNKIRK — Brandon R. Knepshield, 25, of Celoron was charged with DWI, DWI per se and failure to use designated lanes. Deputies at 1:29 a.m. on Sunday observed a vehicle traveling in the turning lane of Vineyard Drive with no turning movement. Knepshield was charged following an investigation. He is scheduled to answer the charges later in Dunkirk Town Court.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Shelby Neamon, 23, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree assault. Officers were called at 11:17 p.m. on Wednesday to UPMC Chautauqua, 207 Foote Ave., for a report of a patient who assaulted staff. Upon arrival, staff told officers that Neamon had allegedly punched a nurse in the face, causing pain and swelling. Neamon was transported to Jamestown City Jail and held for arraignment.

¯ Juan A. Batista-Ginorio, 30, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree obstructing governmental administration, insufficient turn signal, improper right turn, failure to keep right, unregistered motor vehicle, uninspected motor vehicle, refusual to take breath test and felony driving while ability impaired by drugs/alcohol combination. Officers at 12:06 a.m. on Wednesday stopped a black Kia SUV near Prospect Street and McKinley Avenue. Batista-Ginorio reportedly refused to take field sobriety tests and was taken to Jamestown City Jail. He was held for arraignment.
