CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ MAYVILLE — Gary A. Warren III was charged with second-degree promoting prison contraband. Corrections officers observed Warren collecting prison contraband Aug. 26 while on a work detail. He was allegedly observed picking up chewing tobacco and cigars for the purposes of consumption during the work detail. Warren will be arraigned at Chautauqua County Jail.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Nathan D. Brown, 35, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree criminal mischief, petit larceny and second-degree harassment. Officers responded Wednesday at 4:18 p.m. to Foote Avenue for a report of a harassment. Officers learned Brown had allegedly threatened to harm a female and stole property before leaving. It was also found that Brown allegedly damaged property at the residence the previous night while in a dispute. Brown was transported to Jamestown City Jail and held for arraignment.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

¯ POMFRET — Danielle N. Braun, 33, of Fredonia was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. Troopers responded Monday to a 911 call about a possible intoxicated driver traveling northbound on Route 60 in the town of Pomfret. Braun was located and reportedly failed several field sobriety tests. His driver’s license was found to have been suspended three times for failure to answer a summons. Braun was transported to Brooks Memorial Hospital to provide a bloom sample and then to Chautauqua County Jail for arraignment.

¯ Shamori Houston, 38, of Jamestown was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. Houston was stopped Tuesday in Jamestown when the dealer plate on his vehicle was reported stolen to the Mecklenburg Police Department in May. Houston’s driving record was found to have multiple suspensions. He was processed and transported to Chautauqua County Jail.

¯ BEMUS POINT — Sally Lawson, 62, of Bemus Point was charged with second-degree obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest and second-degree harassment. Troopers responded Tuesday to a residence in Bemus Point for a report of a disorderly person. An investigation found that Lawson allegedly drove past the caller’s residence, yelling profanities. Troopers located Lawson and advised her that she was under arrest, at which time she reportedly became belligerent and began to physically resist being placed in handcuffs. She was processed and taken to jail for arraignment.

¯ GERRY — Caitlin Arnold, 27, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana. Arnold and Rodney Townsel, 36, of Jamestown were also each charged with three counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia and two counts of possession of a controlled substance by ultimate users in original container. Troopers stopped a vehicle Monday on Route 60 in Gerry that was reported stolen in Jamestown. Arnold and Townsel were both searched, at which time troopers reported finding a bag containing amphetamine/dextroamphetamine pills, a bottle containing Methylphenidate pills, two straws containing heroin residue and a glass smoking device containing heroin residue. The pair was released to appear in Gerry Town Court later, and the complainant was advised that her vehicle had been recovered.
