CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
¯ HANOVER — Emerson C. Stevens, 22, of Gowanda was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated with a BAC of 0.18% or higher, DWI, failure to keep right and improper turn without signal. Deputies stopped a vehicle Monday at 6:42 p.m. on Versailles Road in the town of Hanover for multiple traffic violations. Stevens was charged following an investigation. He is scheduled to appear in Hanover Town Court later.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
¯ James Carter, 23, of Jamestown was charged with aggravated family offense, second-degree harassment and third-degree assault. Officers were called at 9:27 a.m. on Tuesday to Allen Street for a reported domestic dispute. Officers spoke to a female regarding an alleged assault. Carter, who had several outstanding warrants, reportedly fled from the scene before police arrived. He was later found in a house in the area of Falconer Street and held at Jamestown City Jail for arraignment.

¯ BEMUS POINT — James Griffin, 69, of Jamestown was charged with first-degree unlawful possession of marijuana. Griffin was stopped Monday on Route 430 for speeding, and while talking troopers reported smelling marijuana. A search turned up an ounces of marijuana. Griffin was issued an appearance ticket to be in Ellery Town Court later.
¯ Johnathon Cole, 33, of Spartansburg, Pa., was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Shawn Davenport, 49, of Erie, Pa., was taken into custody as a fugitive from justice. Cole was stopped Monday on Clymer-Sherman Road for a traffic violation. Cole was found to have a suspended license and allegedly in possession of a bag containing methamphetamine. Davenport was wanted out of Crawford County, Pa., for retail theft. Both were processed and transported to Chautauqua County Jail.
