JAMESTOWN POLICE

¯ Henry Reyes, 40, of Jamestown was charged with speeding, failure to keep right, refusal to submit to a roadside alert test, driving while intoxicated and first-degree unlicensed operation at 3:08 a.m. Friday on West Third Street and Logan Avenue. Police officers report seeing a vehicle being driven at a high rate of speed and, after pulling the vehicle over, found Reyes allegedly had a suspended driver’s license and was allegedly intoxicated. He will be in Jamestown City Court later.

¯ Jonathan J. Vega Rivera, 27, of Jamestown was charged with two counts of resisting arrest at 9:53 p.m. Thursday near West Eighth and Clinton streets, Jamestown. Police reported seeing Vega Rivera and recognizing that he had outstanding arrest warrants. Officers asked him to stop and told him he was under arrest before Vega Rivera ran from officers. He was caught after a short foot chase. Vega Rivera was taken to the Jamestown City Jail until he could be arraigned.

ELLICOTT POLICE

¯ Stephen C. Dean of Jamestown was charged with petit larceny, three counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminally possessing a hypodermic needle after officers were called to an Ellicott business for a reported shoplifting and report of a man acting suspiciously. Dean was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.

¯ Alicia J. Osar, 31, of Jamestown was charged with petit larceny in a Falconer business. She will be in Ellicott Town Court later.

¯ Todd R. Elliott, 56, was charged with petit larceny on Thursday after Ellicott police responded to the Dollar General store for a report of a man stealing various items. According to a police report, store employees pointed out the person suspected of stealing as he walked away from the scene. Police report finding some of the stolen items in the man’s pocket. Elliott will be in Ellicott Town Court later.
