Crash Leads To Child Endangerment, DWI Charges

A city woman is facing child endangerment and drunken driving charges following a crash early Sunday.

Officers with the Jamestown Police Department responded at 4:15 a.m. to a crash near Allen and King streets. Officers learned 18-year-old Michelle R. Grimm drove into the lane of another vehicle, striking it on the driver’s side passenger door.

An investigation found that Grimm was allegedly under the influence of alcohol and had a 15 year old passenger in the vehicle.

A woman in the vehicle struck by Grimm required medical attention. Her vehicle was significantly damaged in the collision.

Grimm was transported to Jamestown City Jail and held for arraignment. She is facing charges of aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child in the vehicle, endangering the welfare of a child, DWI and failure to keep right.

No further information was made available Sunday.
