Crash Between Car And Motorcycle Sends 2 To Hospital

KENNEDY — A crash between a car and motorcycle sent two people to the hospital Sunday afternoon.

The crash near the intersection of Routes 62 and 394 just outside Kennedy was reported around 5:25 p.m. A portion of Route 394, from Ellington to Langdon streets, was closed to traffic due to the crash.

Police said it appeared the car pulled into the path of the motorcycle. Two people were transported to UPMC Chautauqua with non-life-threatening injuries.

Kennedy firefighters were assisted by Frewsburg and Falconer crews. Troopers with the New York State Police also responded.

The scene was cleared by 6 p.m.

Fire officials were also notified by county dispatch that flooding was reported in the area. One tree limb reportedly fell on a power line, knocking out power, while another branch fell across a portion of Route 394.
