A city woman was being held in Jamestown City Jail after police say she sideswiped a house with her vehicle Sunday.

Officers were called for a reported despondent person around 2:48 p.m. in the area of Lovall Avenue. While responding, officers were told that a woman — later identified as 44-year-old Kellee Piatz Kroftka — had hit a house with her vehicle. Police found Piatz Kroftka getting out of her vehicle when they arrived on scene.

“During the course of the investigation, officers were able to determine that Piatz Kroftka had recklessly sideswiped the house with her vehicle, causing damage to both the house and vehicle,” JPD said in a press release Sunday.

Piatz Kroftka was taken into custody on a charge of fourth-degree criminal mischief. She was held for arraignment.
