¯ COLD SPRING – Daniel Gustafson, 26, of Kennedy was charged with petit larceny. The charge stems from an incident on June 9 in which Gustafson is alleged to have taken gas from gas pumps without paying. On Thursday Gustafson was taken into custody following an investigation by the Cattaraugus County Criminal Investigation Bureau. Gustafson was issued an appearance ticket to return to Cold Spring Town Court at a later date.

¯ CONEWANGO – Danay Marsh, 24, of Little Valley was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Around 3:05 a.m. on Thursday, deputies conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle on Williams Street. The driver was identified as Marsh. An investigation by deputies revealed that Marsh was allegedly in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphenalia. After being taken into custody Marsh was transported to the sheriff’s office in Little Valley. He was released with appearance tickets for Conewango Town Court.
