NEW YORK STATE POLICE

¯ BEMUS POINT — Raymond Gilbert, 55, of Mayville was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny. Troopers responded June 4 to Bemus Point where the complaint reported giving Gilbert a $1,200 check in March with the purpose of purchasing materials for a flooring job he agreed to complete but instead cashed the check and never returned to the job. Gilbert was processed and released to appear in Ellery Town Court later.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Brandon Dailey, 25, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operator, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana. Officers observed Dailey driving a vehicle Sunday at 4 p.m. while having a suspended license. He was also found in possession of marijuana, concentrated cannabis and a Alprazolam pill. Dailey was taken into custody and transported to Jamestown City Jail without incident.

¯ Turahn Simmons, 41, of Erie, Pa., was charged with false personation. Officers stopped a vehicle Friday at 1:47 p.m. for an infraction in the area of 518 N. Main St. While speaking to the occupants, Simmons allegedly gave officers a false name. He was taken into custody and transported to Jamestown City Jail.

¯ Rebecca L. Leverenz, 34, of Jamestown was charged with unnecessary noise, resisting arrest and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Officers responded Monday to Lafayette Street for a reported domestic incident. During the incident, Leverenz allegedly became disorderly and yelled after being told to stop. Leverenz was taken into custody, at which time she was reportedly found in possession of a controlled substance. She was being held for arraignment.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ MAYVILLE — Bracken M. Warren, 20, of Jamestown was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree promoting prison contraband. Corrections officers at the Chautauqua County Jail were conducting a search of Warren’s cell when he was allegedly found in possession of methamphetamine. Warren was arraigned and committed back into custody.

¯ Jennifer M . Hicks, 27, of Jamestown was taken into custody on a warrant for second-degree harassment. Deputies located Hicks at her residence in Jamestown on Monday. She was transported to Chautauqua County Jail and is scheduled to answer the charge later.
