CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ ELLERY — Gerald B. Conrad Jr., 22, of Jamestown was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI with a blood-alcohol content of .08 percent or higher and failure to keep right. Around 11:35 p.m. on Tuesday deputies stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction on Interstate 86. Deputies identified the operator as Conrad. Following an investigation, Conrad was taken into custody. He was later released and is scheduled to appear in Ellery Town Court at a later date.

¯ SILVER CREEK — Kathryn A. Edwards, 35, of Dunkirk was charged with DWI, DWI per se, and failure to dim high beams. Around 11:23 p.m. on Tuesday deputies stopped a vehicle on Central Avenue for failing to dim its high beams. Deputies identified the driver as Edwards. Further investigation revealed that Edwards had been operating the vehicle while intoxicated. He was processed and released with appearance tickets for Silver Creek Village Court.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Wilfredo Castrillo, 42, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree criminal contempt and aggravated family offense. Around 11:47 p.m. on Tuesday, officers were called to an apartment on East Second Street for a report of an order of protection violation. Upon arrival, officers observed a female victim call for police assistance from a window of the residence. The victim called out because Castrillo was allegedly inside the apartment and refused to leave. Castrillo was transported without incident to the Jamestown City Jail.
