CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ RIPLEY — Summer C. Howser, 24, of Ripley was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument. Deputies took a larceny complaint in the town of Ripley on Saturday at 4:27 p.m. It is alleged that Howser took property without permission. She was taken to Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.

¯ SHERIDAN — Michael A. Chiappetta, 43, of North Collins was charged with driving while intoxicated and refusing to take a breath test. Deputies checked a suspicious vehicle Saturday at 2:17 a.m. on Route 20 in Sheridan. The driver was identified as Chiappetta, who was allegedly found to be intoxicated. He was processed and released to appear in Sheridan Town Court at a later date.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Timmie D. Brown, 42, of Jamestown was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, aggravated family offense and fourth-degree criminal mischief. Officers responded to 30 Chandler St. on Saturday at 1 p.m. for a domestic incident. An investigation found that Brown allegedly placed his arms around the victim’s neck and threw her to the ground. The incident occurred in front of the victim’s two children, one of whom called 911. Brown was transported to Jamestown City Jail.
