City Man Charged After Injuring Medical Professional

WARREN, Pa. — A Jamestown man has been charged with aggravated assault after he allegedly injured a medical professional who was trying to administer to him.

Warren City Police charged 66-year-old George Boyer with one count of felony aggravated assault after a reported incident at 1:30 a.m. on March 17 at Warren General Hospital.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, Boyer was “agitated” and staff determined that he would be given a shot.

“As the victim approached to provide the shot, the defendant grabbed onto her right arm and began pulling and twisting,” police said in the affidavit. “Two witnesses had to assist in pulling the defendant and the victim apart due to him holding onto her arm so tightly.”

The victim was taken to the emergency room and treated.

“The report indicated that the victim suffered a sprained shoulder as a result of defendant’s actions,” the affidavit said.
