CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ PORTLAND — Frederick S. Brown, 34, of Portland was charged with second-degree criminal trespass. Deputies responded Sunday at 10 a.m. to Route 20 in Portland for a person who reportedly entered a residence then fled the scene. Following a brief search, Brown was found inside a barn on the property. He was taken into custody and transported to Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

¯ GERRY — Howard Roberts,74, of Cassadaga was charged with driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident. Troopers said Roberts was driving north on Route 60 in Gerry on Wednesday when he entered the southbound. A southbound vehicle pulling a trailer attempted to take evasive action but a collision was unable to be avoided. Following the collision, Roberts then turned and allegedly fled the scene. He drove south on Route 60, followed by good Samaritans that witnessed the crash. Roberts’ vehicle became disabled in a parking lot. He was taken into custody following an investigation and transported to UPMC Chautauqua for a blood sample. The driver of the other vehicle was treated at the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Roberts was processed and is scheduled to appear in Gerry Town Court at a later date.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Christopher R. Wolf, 26, of Jamestown was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation. Officers were called Saturday at 1:09 a.m. to East Sixth Street for a domestic incident in progress. An investigation found that Wolf allegedly choked a female outside a vehicle. He was taken into custody and held for arraignment.
