CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ SHERMAN — Leanne E. Becker, 61, of North East, Pa., was charged with DWI, DWI per se, move from lane unsafely and speed not reasonable. Deputies responded to a vehicle rollover crash on Route 430 in the town of Sherman at 2:58 a.m. Jan. 31. Becker was identified and arrested following an investigation. She will answer her charges in Sherman Town Court.

¯ MINA — Joshua B. Sundlov, 31, of Findley Lake was charged with DWI, DWI per se and operating with less than two tail lamps. Deputies observed a vehicle with less than two tail lamps on Hazen and Cemetery roads in the town of Mina at 10:35 p.m. Friday. Deputies stopped the vehicle and identified the operator to be Sundlov. He will answer his charges in Mina Town Court.

¯ ELLERY — Steven D. Crowl Sr., 61, of Jamestown was charged with driving while ability was impaired by drugs. Deputies were called to a location in the town of Ellery for a report of a suspicious male subject at 4:58 p.m. Tuesday. Crowl was located and was determined to be operating a vehicle while impaired by drugs. He was taken into custody and transported to the Sheriff’s Office where a drug recognition expert completed an evaluation. Crowl was later issued traffic tickets and will appear in Ellery Town Court at a later date.

¯ FRENCH CREEK — Claire E. Prest, 29, of North East, Pa., was charged with DWI, DWI per se and fail to signal a turn. Deputies observed a vehicle fail to signal a turn onto Rt. 426 in the town of French Creek at 12:29 a.m. Saturday. Deputies stopped the vehicle and identified the operator as Prest. Following an investigation, Prest was arrested and charged. She will answer her charges in French Creek Town Court.

ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Nelson Torres Jr., 39, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of marijuana. Police stopped a vehicle Wednesday at 4 a.m. in Falconer. It was found that Torres, a passenger, was allegedly in possession of methamphetamine and marijuana. He is scheduled to appear in Ellicott Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
