CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
¯ SHERIDAN — Joshua M. Cross, 30, of Forestville was charged with third-degree criminal mischief. Deputies responded Tuesday to King Road for a report of an altercation. An investigation found that Cross allegedly damaged the residence and property inside. He is scheduled to be arraigned and appear in Sheridan Town Court at a later date.
¯ RIPLEY — Joshua N. Bemis, 33, of Jamestown was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia, five counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and no/inadequate muffler. Jessica L. Zenns, 39, of Jamestown was charged with five counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and false personation. Deputies stopped a vehicle Tuesday at 12:54 a.m. on Route 76 in Ripley for a traffic violation. A search turned up a quantity of methamphetamine and other controlled pills and drug paraphernalia. Both were arraigned in Chautauqua County Jail.
