ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT
¯ Jesse J. Carbajal, 22, was charged with false personation. Ellicott police, assisted by Lakewood-Busti police, conducted a warrant check at a West Ellicott home Wednesday at 1:30 a.m. Carbajal, who had a valid warrant from the city of Jamestown, allegedly provided officers with a false name, date of birth and address. Carbajal was taken into custody and is scheduled to appear in Ellicott Town Court at a later date.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
¯ Curtis Daniels, 70, of Jamestown was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se and backing unsafely. Deputies were called to East Fifth Street near East Second Street for a motor vehicle crash. An investigation found that one of the operators, later identified as Daniels, was operating while intoxicated. Curtis was taken into custody and waiting to be arraigned.
¯ Johnny Nunez Sr., 48, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree menacing. Officers responded Wednesday at 4:06 a.m. to a West Sixth Street home for a report of a male struck with a hammer. It was later learned that Nunez allegedly threatened a victim with a hammer, causing the victim to fear for his life. Nunez was taken into custody and transported to Jamestown City without incident.

¯ Jared K. Gilbert, 41, of Jamestown was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and petit larceny. He turned himself in at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday after a warrant was issued for his arrest. Gilbert had allegedly stolen a $169.99 surveillance camera from OfficeMax on Nov. 11 and had been identified as the suspect. He also had allegedly stolen $1,126.36 worth of merchandise from Walmart on Dec. 12. Gilbert was processed at the Lakewood-Busti Police Department and directed to appear in Busti Town Court on Jan. 16.
