Man Wanted In Robbery Jailed After Theft
A Frewsburg man wanted in connection to a robbery in the state of Washington was jailed after an alleged theft this week.
Joshua M. Hollingsworth was taken into custody after officers with the Lakewood-Busti Police Department were called Sunday to Walmart in Lakewood for a reported larceny. Police learned Hollingsworth allegedly took $37.03 worth of merchandise from the store.
An investigation discovered Hollingsworth was using a different name and was wanted in Washington for a robbery that took place in Stevens County. Information on the robbery, including when the incident occurred, wasn’t available.
Hollingsworth was charged with petit larceny, criminal impersonation and being a fugitive from justice.
He was sent to Chautauqua County Jail after an arraignment, and is scheduled to appear in Busti Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
