JAMESTOWN POLICE

¯ Michael E. Wolfe, 39, of Jamestown, was charged Thursday at 11:45 p.m.with petit larceny. According to police, officers were called to Rite Aid, at 50 S. Main St., for a report of alleged shoplifting. Officers found Wolfe on Water Street, and was taken into custody without incident and is being held at the Jamestown City Jail. He will be in city court later.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPT.

¯ CHAUTAUQUA — Brian P. Grant, 21, of Buffalo, was charged Friday at 2:34 a.m. with driving while intoxicated, having a blood-alcohol content of more than .08 percent, and having an unregistered motor vehicle. According to deputies, Grant was stopped for an observed traffic violation. Upon further investigation, deputies found Grant was allegedly intoxicated while driving the vehicle. He will be in Chautauqua Town Court later.

CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPT.

¯ SALAMANCA — Amos J. Krause, 34, of 171 Clinton St., Salamanca, was charged Saturday at 1 a.m. with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. According to deputies, Krause was arrested on a warrant at his residence. He was taken to Cattaraugus County Jail, and will be county court later.

¯ EAST OTTO — Andrew J. Armbruster, 31, of East Otto, was charged Thursday with violating probation. According to deputies, Armbruster was arrested on a warrant. He was taken to county jail and will be in county court later.
