CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
¯ MAYVILLE — Matthew Mescusker of Bemus Point was charged with issuing a bad check. Deputies received a complaint of a bad check being issued at a business in Mayville. Deputies later learned Mescusker passed a bad check in the amount of $700 to cover a line of credit he had with the business. Charges were filed in Chautauqua Town Court, which Mescusker will answer at a later date.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
¯ Peter M. Carcione, 31, of Buffalo was charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, failure to keep right, possession of a hypodermic instrument and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Officers observed a vehicle Wednesday at 1:45 p.m. fail to keep right while traveling on Camp Street. During the stop Carcione was reportedly found in possession of two different types of illegal pills as well as incapped/used needles and methamphetamine. He was transported to Jamestown City Jail and helping pending arraignment.
