An autopsy will be performed on a body discovered at the scene of a fire Tuesday in the town of Humphry, New York State Police said in a press release.

Firefighters and troopers responded around 2:45 p.m. to the structure fire on Cooper Hill Road in Cattaraugus County. The fire was not ruled suspicious following an investigation by the Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Cattaraugus County fire investigators.

During the investigation, the body was discovered in the residence and pronounced at the scene by the county coroner.

The body will be examined by the Erie County Medical Examiner’s Office for the cause of death and identity, state police said Wednesday.
