Pair Charged With Manufacturing Meth

Two northern Chautauqua County women were charged with allegedly manufacturing methamphetamine following two searches Wednesday.

Charged were 25-year-old Heather M. Payne of Silver Creek and 29-year-old Amanda B. Weber of Gowanda. Deputies around 1:20 p.m. conducted two warrant checks within the town of Hanover and village of Silver Creek.

Payne and Weber were taken into custody following the checks and charged each with third-degree unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine, second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument.

No further information regarding the searches was released Wednesday by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.

The two were arraigned in Silver Creek Village Court and committed to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of bail.
