Jamestown Man Jailed For Strangling Woman
A Jamestown man is facing multiple felony charges following a domestic incident in which he reportedly strangled a woman at a city residence.
Police charged 25-year-old Cody J. Olsen on Tuesday after an investigation of a past-tense domestic dispute at a Livingston Avenue residence in Jamestown. Officers learned that Olsen allegedly restrained a woman and choked her to the point where she lost consciousness.
Police did not release the date of the incident in a statement.
Olsen was located at his residence Tuesday and taken into custody without incident.
He was charged with felony second-degree strangulation, felony first-degree unlawful imprisonment and felony aggravated family offense — the latter charge because of a previous offense during a domestic dispute within the last five years.
Olsen was taken to Jamestown City Jail and was being held pending arraignment.
