CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ JAMESTOWN — Antone V. Romanov, 30, of Jamestown, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies on Tuesday on an outstanding warrant through Chautauqua County Family Court. The warrant was a result of numerous violations of the Family Court Act. Romanov was taken into custody without incident and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail without bail.

¯ STOCKTON — Zachary T. Hopkins, 28, of Sinclairville, was charged Sunday with driving while intoxicated after sheriff’s deputies observed a vehicle speeding along with other traffic violations. Around 12:58 a.m., deputies stopped the vehicle and identified the operator as Hopkins. Following an investigation, deputies arrested and charged Hopkins with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated per se, speed in zone, failure to keep right and failure to stop at a stop sign. Hopkins will answer charges in Stockton Town Court.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Daniel A. Rooney, 35, of Jamestown, was charged Monday with third-degree assault and aggravated family offense after police officers responded to an address on West Virginia Boulevard for a domestic incident. Around 9:26 a.m., officers were dispatched. Upon investigation, it was found that Rooney had hit a female victim with an alcohol bottle causing injury to her. Rooney was arrested and charged. Rooney also had a prior family offense conviction and was subsequently charged with an aggravated family offense. Rooney is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
