CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ Mikhala A. Little, 22, of Jamestown, was charged Monday with fifth-degree welfare fraud, petit larceny and misuse of food stamps. It is alleged from Jan. 1 to March 31, Little failed to notify the Chautauqua County Department of Social Services she had income/employment. This underreported income allowed for Little to receive $582 in unentitled benefits. Little is scheduled to appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ David L. Taylor, 29, of Jamestown, was charged on Sunday following a traffic stop. Around 1:28 p.m., officers initiated a traffic stop of a vehicle at North Main Street near First Street for a traffic violation. The front seat passenger was identified as Taylor, who was found to have an active warrant out of Warren, Pa. He was placed into custody. A search of Taylor’s vehicle uncovered a quantity of marijuana in his pocket. Taylor was also found to be in possession of two different controlled substances and a digital scale. After Taylor was placed in the patrol car, officers noticed what appeared to be crushed pills on the seat of the patrol car and another pill partially crushed on the floor of the car. Taylor was charged immediately with tampering with physical evidence for attempting to conceal these pills, which he had hidden somewhere on himself. Taylor was charged with fugitive from justice, felony tampering with evidence, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of drug paraphernalia, and unlawful possession of marijuana. Taylor was sent to the Jamestown City Jail where he was awaiting arraignment and extradition to Pennsylvania.

¯ Jesus E. Rodriguez, 19, of Jamestown, and Pedro L. Rodriguez, 21, of Jamestown, were charged on Aug. 27 with disorderly conduct and obstructing governmental administration. Around 9:05 p.m., Jamestown Police, Ellicott Police and the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office responded to a large fight in progress at 7-Eleven on East Second Street. Upon arrival, patrols observed a large crowd in the front of the store. Officers made contact with Jesus E. Rodriguez, who was disorderly and hostile with police as they were investigating the incident. Jesus was subsequently arrested. During the arrest process, Pedro L. Rodriguez became disorderly and disrupted officer’s actions. Both were charged and are being held on bail.

¯ Roger W. Lampman Jr., 43, of Jamestown, was charged on Sunday with fugitive from justice after a traffic stop. Around 12:13 a.m., police officers observed a vehicle with no plate lamps traveling westbound on East Sixth Street. Upon conducting a vehicle and traffic stop, officers identified a passenger as Lampman Jr., who officers found had an outstanding parole warrant out of Harrisburg, Pa. Officers took Lampman Jr. into custody and transported him to the Jamestown City Jail without incident. Lampman Jr. is being held pending arraignment.

¯ Willard J. Apperson Jr., 34, of Jamestown, was charged Sunday with violation of probation and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Around 8:44 p.m. officers responded to 11 Chandler St. on an anonymous tip that a wanted subject was staying at the residence. Officers located Apperson Jr. at the residence. Apperson Jr. had a violation of probation bench warrant out of Jamestown City Court and was taken into custody. While searching Apperson Jr., a small quantity of methamphetamine was located on himself. Apperson Jr. was transported to the Jamestown City Jail and is awaiting arraignment. Apperson is currently on probation with Chautauqua County.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

¯ KENNEDY — Johnny Triggs, 64, of Erie, was charged with driving while intoxicated, fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment on Sunday. According to a police report, Triggs was pulled over by New York State Troopers on Interstate 86 in Kennedy because the vehicle he was driving fit the description of a vehicle reported being operated by the suspect in a domestic incident that occurred in Steamburg. Triggs was charged after reportedly failing several field sobriety tests. He was taken to the State Police barracks in Jamestown where he reportedly a breath sample of .10 percent. Triggs was arraigned in Napoli Town Court for the domestic incident charges and released on his own recognizance. Triggs is scheduled to appear in Poland Town Court in September to answer the DWI charge.

¯ BEMUS POINT — Jennifer Holley, 20, of Gerry was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance on Saturday after her vehicle was pulled over on Route 430 for a traffic violation. Troopers report that while speaking to Holley, troopers smelled marijuana inside the vehicle. A search revealed Holley was allegedly in possession of about one gram of concentrated cannabis. She was processed at the State Police barracks at Jamestown and issued tickets to be in Ellery Town Court and released.

¯ FINDLEY LAKE — New York State Police charged Braydon Dobson, 20, of Findley Lake, with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana on Friday after his vehicle was pulled over on Station Road in Findley Lake for a traffic violation. Troopers report that while speaking to Dobson, troopers saw marijuana in plain view. A search of the vehicle allegedly revealed a gram of concentrated cannabis, a gram of marijuana and three smoking devices containing marijuana residue. Dobson was charged, processed at the State Police barracks in Jamestown and released with appearance tickets directing him to be in Mina Town Court later.

¯ SHERMAN — Ryan Pratt, 41, of Sherman, was charged with driving while intoxicated on Thursday. Troopers report responding to a witness report of an erratically driving vehicle in Sherman and, while on Hazen Road, found Pratt after he had already left the road. Pratt allegedly failed several field sobriety tests. He was taken to the State Police barracks at Jamestown and allegedly provided a breath sample of .15 percent. Pratt was then processed, issued tickets to be in Sherman Town Court and released.
