FORESTVILLE — Details remain scant after a motorcyclist reportedly fled the scene after crashing Saturday night and later found at Forestville Elementary School.

The odd string of events began around 8:30 p.m. after members of the Forestville Fire Department were dispatched to 10451 Creek Road for a crash involving a motorcycle.

Upon arrival, the motorcyclist, who has not been identified, reportedly fled the area, at which time a K-9 unit was summoned.

Around 9:30 p.m., Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies were called to Forestville Elementary School after a window was found to be open, according to radio dispatch. Not long after, Starflight was dispatched to the elementary school, though no details were provided as to why.

The medical helicopter arrived at the school just after 10 p.m.

An assistant chief with the Forestville Fire Department said the victim being treated was the motorcyclist, but declined to provide further information.

It wasn’t immediately known where the motorcyclist was located within the school grounds or if the open window report was connected to the incident.

No further information was available.
