City Man Jailed After Stabbing Woman Saturday Morning
A Jamestown man was jailed Saturday morning after allegedly stabbing a woman during a domestic incident in the city.
Officers responded just after midnight to an apartment at 401 W. Seventh St. for a report of a violent physical domestic incident. Inside officers located a woman with a stab wound to her arm.
The injury to the woman, who was not identified, was considered non-life-threatening, Jamestown police said in a report.
An investigation determined 48-year-old Carlos Castellano allegedly stabbed the victim following a brief argument. The city man was taken into custody and transported to Jamestown City Jail without incident.
Castellano was charged with second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He was being held pending an arraignment.
