Furniture Truck Crashes In Frewsburg; No Serious Injuries Reported

FREWBURG — Two male occupants of a Raymour and Flanigan furniture truck avoided serious injury Friday after veering off Falconer-Frewsburg Road in Frewsburg.
According to New York State Police, the driver, 21-year-old Daniel F. Shanley Jr., of Lackawanna, reportedly felt drowsy and possibly fell asleep while traveling southbound near Carlberg Road.
Shortly before 10:30 a.m., the vehicle traveled off the road and overturned into an embankment.
Shanley and his passenger, 29-year-old Christopher D. Giesler of Tonawanda, were treated at the scene by Kennnedy fire officials for minor abrasions.
Shanley was charged with changing lanes when hazard.
The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene.
