JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯Brandon R. Hogg, 27, of Jamestown was charged Thursday with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and a parole violation. Giselle C. Bennett, 26, of Jamestown was charged with criminal possession of a stimulant. At 9:21 a.m., police responded to 943 Newland Ave. for a warrant check. Upon arrival, police located Bennett, who was reportedly wanted by the Jamestown Police Department on an outstanding court warrant. Police also located Hogg, who was reportedly wanted on a parole warrant. Hogg allegedly had a quantity of Suboxone without a prescription. Both were taken to the city jail to await arraignement.

¯Robert Cavender, 60, of Jamestown was charged Saturday with second-degree criminal trespass and second-degree harassment. At 9:30 p.m., police responded to a reported fight at a Prospect Street residence. It is alleged that Cavender entered a female victim’s apartment and refused to leave. He allegedly pushed the female before he exited. Police took Cavender to the city jail to await arraignment.

¯Eva E. Garcia, 43, of Jamestown was charged Sunday with fourth-degree criminal mischief and third-degree assault. At 8:50 p.m., police responded to West Fifth Street for a reported domestic incident. It is alleged that Garcia broke a male victim’s glasses and bit his arm. Garcia was taken to the city jail to await arraignment.

ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯Benjamin R. Bierkert, 28, of Dewittville was charged Saturday with driving while intoxicated and DWI with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or more. At 7:30 p.m., police pulled over Biekert on Route 60 for allegedly speeding. It is alleged that he was intoxicated. He was scheduled to appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.

¯Jason J. Brown of Falconer was charged Friday with DWI. Police pulled over Brown for reportedly moving unsafely into the oncoming traffic lane. It is alleged that Brown was driving while intoxicated with a BAC twice the legal limit. He was scheduled to appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.

¯Bonnie L. Wynn, 63, of Corry, Pa., was charged Sunday for using a bad check. At 2 a.m., Wynn was stopped in Jamestown for allegedly using a bad check. She was scheduled to appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.

¯Marcia K. Hamilton, 59, of Jamestown was charged Thursday with petit larceny. It is alleged that Hamilton, who was an employee of Kmart on Fairmount Avenue, rung up merchandise in the value of $120 and then returned the receipts to obtain cash. She was scheduled to appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.

¯Steven M. Solinger, 27, and Kristen Capizzi, 20, both of Jamestown, were charged Thursday with unlawful possession of marijuana. At 4:24 p.m., police pulled over a vehicle in the area of 31 W. Main St. in Falconer. It is alleged the occupants, Solinger and Capizzi, were in possession of marijuana. Both are scheduled to appear in Ellicott Court on Jan. 31.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯Ashley N. Longo, 25, of Buffalo was charged Friday with petit larceny. At 9 p.m., Longo was charged for allegedly stealing items from the Lakewood Wal-Mart. She was scheduled to appear in Busti Court at a later date.

¯Shannon T. Anderson, 37, was charged Saturday with DWI, aggravated DWI, failure to dim highbeams and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. At 11:17 p.m., Anderson was pulled over on Forest Avenue Extension for allegedly failing to dim highbeams. It is alleged that Anderson was intoxicated with a BAC over .18 percent. Anderson was scheduled to appear in Busti Court at a later date.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯POMFRET–Justin Bess, 25, of Dunkirk was taken into custody Sunday on a warrant for third-degree robbery. At 11:51 p.m., deputies located Bess at a business in Pomfret. It is alleged that Bess had an active felony warrant for robbery out of Chautauqua County Court. He was remanded to the county jail.

¯FREDONIA–Duane H. Green, 47, of Dunkirk was taken into custody Sunday on a probation warrant for first-degree sex abuse and forcible touching. At 10:15 a.m., deputies and Fredonia police served an arrest warrant for Green at an East Main Street address in Fredonia.
