Two people were killed and two others injured in a crash on Route 242 in Ellicottville, Cattaraugus County.

Ellicottville police said 60-year-old Clinton C. Krivulka, of Church Road, Conewango, and a 15-year-old back-seat passenger were pronounced dead at the scene by Coroner Cleon Easton.

Police said Krivulka was traveling in the eastbound lane about 3:36 p.m. when he reportedly lost control of his vehicle and into the path of a westbound vehicle, driven by 45-year-old Henry N. Williams of Chaffee.

A 16-year-old passenger in Krivulka’s vehicle sustained head injuries and was taken to Women and Children’s Hospital in Buffalo.

Williams was treated at the scene for minor injuries; a passenger in his vehicle was transported to Olean General Hospital for chest injuries.

Ellicottville police were assisted by the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office, State Police, Police Collision Reconstruction Unit and Ellicottville and  West Valley fire departments. The crash remains under investigation.
