Several Charged With Underage Drinking After Crackdown

Three local bartenders and nearly a dozen teenagers were charged last weekend as part of an underage drinking crackdown conducted by New York State Police in Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties.

The crackdown, which had Jamestown-based State Police working in conjunction with the New York State Liquor Authority, swept through 12 local establishments and found three bartenders reportedly serving alcohol to underage individuals.

Kayla E. Delcamp, 27, of Sinclairville was a bartender at the Witch Kitch Inn in Sinclairville. She will appear in Charlotte Town Court at a later date.

Joyce A. Thomas, 45, of Sinclairville was a bartender at the Backyard Bar & Grill in Gerry. She will appear in Gerry Town Court at a later date.

Lloyd E. Newhouse, 49, of Mayville was a bartender at the Hartfield Bay Cafe in Mayville. She will appear in Chautauqua Town Court at a later date.

They were all charged with a misdemeanor of prohibited sale of alcoholic beverage to a person under 21.

The following were charged with a violation of the Alcohol and Beverage Control Law, unlawful possession of alcohol by a person under 21:

Austin P. Zeliff, 19, of Ashland, Mass.; John H. Behler, 19, of Paoli, Pa.; Maxmillian N. Teibel, 19, of Ashland, Mass.; Leah A. Snyder, 18, of Mayville; Madeline R. Lieber, 19, of Buffalo; Jack P. Mokler, 18, of Reno, Nev.; Derrick A. Graham, 19, of Kensington, Md.; Thomas J. Howell, 18, of Kensington, Md.; Sam E. Snyder, 19, of Mayville; a 17-year-old male from Paoli, Pa.; a 17-year-old female from Summit, N.J.

They will all appear in Chautauqua Town Court at a later date.
