CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

NORTH HARMONY – Chance W. Blanchard, 26, of Mayville was charged Thursday with second-degree harassment and endangering the welfare of a child. At approximately 8:16 p.m., deputies and K9 patrol took Blanchard into custody on Morris Road in North Harmony. Blanchard was known to have an active warrant out of the Town of Chautauqua for failing to appear on previous harassment and endangering charges. Blanchard was arraigned in the Town of Chautauqua Court and committed to Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of bail.

STOCKTON – Bianca M. Swarthout, 38, of Cassadaga was charged Thursday with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, unlicensed operation and failure to maintain lane. At approximately 6:15 a.m., deputies stopped a vehicle on Main Street in Stockton for a traffic infraction. Upon investigation, it was determined that Swarthout had a revoked New York State driver’s license. Swarthout held numerous revocations and suspensions for prior vehicle and traffic offenses, which included alcohol-related offenses. Swarthout also had an outstanding bench warrant out of Pomfret Court. Swarthout was arraigned on the warrant in Pomfret and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail. She was issued appearance tickets for the new charges in Stockton.

PANAMA – Gregg W. Morrison, 36, of Panama was charged Wednesday with second-degree obstruction of governmental administration. At approximately 1:13 a.m., deputies were interviewing Morrison on Panama-Stedman Road who gave a false name and then fled on foot. After cornering him in a barn, deputies took Morrison into custody without incident. Further investigation revealed that Morrison had an outstanding parole warrant for felony driving while intoxicated. Morrison will appear at the North Harmony Court at a later date. He was committed to Chautauqua County Jail on the parole warrant.

KIANTONE – Louis M. Landy, 28, of Jamestown was charged Thursday with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se and failure to signal turn. At approximately 3:26 a.m., deputies stopped a vehicle for failing to signal turn on Warren-Jamestown Boulevard in Kiantone. Upon investigation, Landy was found to be intoxicated. Landy will appear in the Kiantone Court at a later date.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Nicholas L. Austin, 20, of Lakewood was charged Thursday with disorderly conduct, second-degree obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest. At approximately 2:24 a.m., officers observed Austin highly intoxicated and obstructing traffic on West Second Street near Jefferson Street. Austin fled from officers on foot. When located again, Austin attempted to flee again. Austin was taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit and struggle. Austin was transported to Jamestown City Jail where he is currently awaiting arraignment.

Cameron D. Johnson, 22, of Jamestown was charged Friday with fourth-degree criminal mischief. At approximately 3:55 a.m., officers were dispatched to 24 Falconer St. for a domestic incident. The victim reported that a verbal argument took place between the victim and Johnson. During the argument, Johnson damaged a door and a door frame. Johnson was transported to Jamestown City Jail where he is awaiting arraignment.

ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

Angie L. Swabik of Jamestown was charged Thursday with trespassing and two counts of second-degree harassment. Police were called to an Ellicott business for a reported disorderly female who refused to leave after being told she wasn’t welcome on the property. Swabik will appear at the Ellicott Court on a later date.

Shawn D. Patterson, 41, of Jamestown was charged Wednesday with second-degree harassment. At approximately 10:40 p.m., officers responded to a harassment call at 511 Fairmount Ave. Upon investigation, it is alleged that Patterson threatened another by holding his fist back in a clenched position. Patterson will appear at the Ellicott Court at a later date.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Omar Rosado, 27, of Jamestown was charged Wednesday with aggravated family offense, second-degree criminal contempt and two counts of second-degree obstructing governmental administration. At approximately 12:49 a.m., officers responded to East Sixth Street for a report of a domestic violence incident. Upon investigation, it was revealed that Rosado was in the same residence as the victim during the incident while a valid order of protection was in effect. Officers located Rosado after he fled the scene. Rosado was taken into custody after he attempted to flee again, police said. Rosado was transported to Jamestown City Jail.

Barbara A. Flores, 45, of Jamestown was charged Tuesday with endangering the welfare of a child and third-degree assault. At approximately 6:30 p.m., officers responded to 117 Tower St. for a domestic incident. Officers determined that Flores repeatedly punched and scratched a 13-year-old female victim. Flores was charged and transported to Jamestown City Jail without incident.

Adam M. Keeler, 21, of Jamestown was charged Tuesday with second-degree obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest. At approximately 11:15 p.m., officers were acting as peace officers while an individual was attempting to a get a vehicle back from Keeler. While officers were standing by, Keeler began acting disorderly, yelling and swearing at officers and the individual receiving his property back, police said. Officers warned Keeler multiple times to go inside his residence but Keeler allegedly refused. After officers told Keeler he was under arrest, Keeler attempted to flee inside the residence. Officers attempted to place Keeler under arrest but he failed to comply. After a brief struggle, Keeler was transported to Jamestown City Jail.

ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

Serena T. Ellis, 28, of Celoron, was charged Tuesday with petit larceny. Police responded to Kmart for a report of an employee in custody who had allegedly stole money from the store over a period of time. Loss prevention officers of Kmart stated that over the last few weeks, Ellis, who was a Kmart employee, noticed that her cash drawer was continually short. On Tuesday, the officers caught Ellis stealing more money, police said. The total amount stolen was approximately $500 in cash. Ellis will appear in Ellicott Court on a later date.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Calvin B. Olson, 65, of Jamestown was involved in a motor vehicle accident Monday. At approximately 12:22 p.m., deputies responded to a vehicle accident on Slide Fenner Road in Ellery. Upon investigation, it was determined that Olson was traveling northbound when his vehicle left the east side of the road and struck a utility pole. Olson was transported to UPMC Hamot for unknown injuries. Investigation is continuing into the cause for the accident.

Floyd R. Berry, 35, of Brocton was charged Tuesday with second-degree harassment and disorderly conduct. At approximately 2:10 p.m., Berry became disorderly while in a doctor’s appointment and stated he was going to return with a shotgun. Deputies took Berry into custody without incident, Berry was arraigned and committed to Chautauqua County Jail on bail.

CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Skyler M. Irish, 22, of Randolph was charged Tuesday with criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument. At approximately 12:24 a.m., deputies and Randolph Regional EMS responded to a call about an unconscious female at 23 Jamestown St. Upon investigation, it was determined that Irish was in possession of a hypodermic instrument. Skyler is due back in the Town of Randolph Court at a later date.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Bradley M. Dimmer, 22, of Silver Creek was charged Monday with unlawful possession of marijuana. At approximately 12:50 a.m., Dimmer was found at 24 Howard St. in possession of a marijuana pipe containing marijuana and residue. Dimmer will appear at the Village of Silver Creek Court at a later date.

John Wasierski, 38, of Irving was charged Sunday with driving while intoxicated-common law and felony aggravated DWI (Leandra’s Law). Darlene Bommer, 47, of Irving was also charged Sunday with felony driving while intoxicated common law and felony aggravated DWI. At approximately 8:16 p.m., deputies responded to a call of a vehicle stopped in the front yard of a residence on Route 20 in Sheridan. Upon investigation, deputies determined that Wasierski was operating the vehicle intoxicated. Due to a child being in the car, he was charged with Leandra’s Law. During further investigation, it was determined that Bommer was operating the vehicle prior to Wasierski and was also intoxicated. Wasierski was arraigned in Sheridan Court and committed to Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of bail. Bommer will appear at Sheridan Court at a later date.

Randy J. Beutel, 45, of Lockport was charged Sunday with driving while intoxicated, DWI .08 percent or higher and failure to keep right. At approximately 1:48 a.m., deputies stopped Beutel’s vehicle on Dennison Road in Hanover for a traffic violation. Upon investigation, Beutel was found to be intoxicated. Beutel will appear in the Town of Hanover Court next month.

Lisa D. Dale, 43, of Dunkirk was charged Sunday with driving while intoxicated 0.8 percent or higher and speeding. At approximately 3:08 a.m., deputies observed Dale’s vehicle speeding on Central Avenue in Silver Creek. Upon investigation, it was determined that Dale was intoxicated. Dale will answer to the charges on a later date.

ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

Lamar D. Cook, 34, of Jamestown was charged Friday with petit larceny. Police determined that Cook entered a business, took a 30-pack of beer to the front register and ordered some food. While the clerk was making the food, Cook left the store without paying for the beer. Cook will appear in Ellicott Court on a later date.

Joseph E. Green, 25, of Falconer was charged Saturday with two counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief. Police responded to a report of a domestic incident on West Main Street. Upon investigation, officers found the front door kicked open and the door frame broken. Once inside, officers saw the television stand broken. Green was arraigned in Ellicott Court.

Thomas C. McCaslin, 23, of Jamestown was charged Tuesday with second-degree aggravated harassment. Police responded to an incident where it was alleged that McCaslin was engaging in unwanted phone contact with Sue McCaslin. After being verbally warned by police to stop, McCaslin continued. McCaslin will appear in Elliott Court at a later date.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Karrie E. Clark, 22, of Jamestown was charged Sunday with petit larceny. At approximately 8:30 p.m., officers responded to the Dollar General store located at 601 W. Third St. for a report of a shoplifter in custody. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the manager who said that Clark had stole merchandise. Clark is awaiting arraignment.

Fred R. Edington, 50, of Falconer was charged Saturday with following too closely, improper plates, unregistered motor vehicle, uninspected motor vehicle, displayed forged certification of inspection, driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated-BAC of .08 percent or higher, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operator and operating in violation of conditional license. At approximately 10:58 p.m., Edington’s vehicle was observed traveling east on East Second Street, following too closely to the vehicle in front of it. Upon checking the vehicle registration, police determined that his vehicle should have been a 1974 pickup, but was a much newer style pickup. Edington was found to have a conditional license. He was also intoxicated and charged with the above charges. Edington will be arraigned in the Jamestown City Court.

CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Andrew V. Samuelson, 52, of Gowanda was charged Friday with driving while intoxicated, DWI with BAC .08 percent or higher, failure to keep right and failure to maintain lane. At approximately 11:30 p.m., Samuelson was observed weaving in the lane, crossing the center and onto the shoulder when he was stopped. Investigation revealed the presence of alcohol. Samuelson will appear at the Town of Perrysburg Court.

Joan E. Riddell, 64, of Little Valley was charged Friday with second-degree assault. At approximately 9 p.m., deputies responded to a reported stabbing in Little Valley. Investigation revealed that Riddell was involved in a physical domestic which escalated. The other party was transported for medical attention.

Katie A. Ventimiglia, 23, of Salamanca was charged Friday with petit larceny. At approximately 6:14 p.m., deputies charged Ventimiglia after a shoplifting incident at the Wal-Mart store. Ventimiglia will appear at Allegany Court at a later date.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Victor Gifford III, 39, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree assault on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. Jamestown Police officers responded to South Main Street for a domestic incident, and upon arrival officers spoke with a female victim with visible injuries, police said. Upon investigation, officers determined the victim allegedly had a physical altercation with Gifford over a period of several hours before he left the residence prior to police arrival, police said. Officers located Gifford a short distance away and he was taken into custody without incident and transported to Jamestown City Jail where he was awaiting arraignment.

Jessica Martin, 33, of Jamestown was charged with petit larceny on Saturday at 9:14 a.m. Jamestown Police Department responded to Rite Aid Pharmacy located on South Main Street for a report of a shoplifter in custody, police said. Martin allegedly stole a package of Jet Fuel pills from the store, but was taken into custody by an employee. She was taken into custody without incident and transported to Jamestown City Jail where she was awaiting arraignment by Jamestown City Court.

SOUTHERN TIER REGIONAL DRUG TASK FORCE

Ulus Battle, 26, of Buffalo was charged with third-degree of criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance on Friday at 7:18 p.m. Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, Jamestown Police Department and Ellicott Police Police Department located and arrested Battle on East Sixth Street in Jamestown because Battle allegedly had sold quantities of crack cocaine to agents of the Task Force from a location in Ellicott, police said. He was taken into custody without incident, and arraigned in Ellicott Court and then remanded to Chautauqua County Jail without bail pending further action of the court. The Southern Tier Regional Task Force is comprised of officers from Dunkirk Police Department and Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department. Authorities ask that anytime narcotics related activity is seen, call either the local police at 363-0313 or the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force at 1-800-344-8702.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

LAKEWOOD- Lacy Abraham, 27, of Sheffield, Pa., was charged with petit larceny on Saturday at 9 p.m. Abraham allegedly stole merchandise consisting of DVDs and iPhone covers from Walmart in Lakewood valuing $124.80. She was arraigned in Busti Court and released to reappear at a later date.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

CHAUTAUQUA- Vincent Kane, 28, of Portland was arrested on outstanding bench warrant out of Brocton where he was allegedly in possession of a small quantity of marijuana and multiple smoking pipes during the arrest and additionally charged with unlawful possession of marijuana on Friday at 9:21 p.m. Kane was arraigned on a bench warrant in Chautauqua Court and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Donald R. King, 34, of Jamestown was charged Thursday with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, improper/switched plates, uninspected motor vehicle and unregistered motor vehicle. His passenger, Donald W. Dean Sr., 34, of Jamestown was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. At approximately 3:06 a.m., officers stopped King’s vehicle on Arterial at Forest Avenue for improper/switched plates. Further investigation revealed that both King and Dean were in possession of 4.5 grams of cocaine. King and Dean were taken into custody without incident to Jamestown City Jail where they await arraignment.

Edwin M. Deming, 25, of Brocton was charged Wednesday with criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, second-degree unlawful imprisonment and second-degree harassment. At approximately 6:55 p.m., officers responded to the Bradmar Circle apartments for a reported physical domestic dispute. Upon investigation, it was determined that Deming had a physical altercation with a female victim in which he threw the victim to the ground and allegedly choked her. Deming also refused to release the victim during the incident. Deming is currently awaiting arraignment at Jamestown City Jail.

Joseph Ferino of Jamestown was charged Wednesday with second-degree criminal trespassing. At approximately 7:16 p.m., officers reported to an address on Spring Street for a reported verbal domestic violence incident. Upon investigation, it was determined that Ferino unlawfully entered and remained in the apartment of the female victim. Ferino started a verbal argument and left the apartment. Ferino is currently awaiting arraignment at Jamestown City Jail.

Jeremy M. Smith, 20, of Jamestown was charged Wednesday with criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation and second-degree harassment. At approximately 10:04 p.m., officers dispatched to the area of Barrows Street and Chandler Street for a reported fight. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a female victim who claimed that Smith had bitten, pushed and choked her during a domestic incident. Smith is currently awaiting arraignment at Jamestown City Jail.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

Michael C. Wilson, 38, of Celoron was charged Wednesday with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se and speeding. At approximately 1:13 a.m., an officer observed a vehicle speeding on Hunt Road. Upon stopping, the officer determined that Wilson was intoxicated. Wilson will appear in the Town of Busti Court at a later date.

CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Brett Westfall, 21, of West Valley was charged with driving while intoxicated with .08 percent of 1 percent or higher, DWI and failure to keep right. Westfall was released to a third party and is to appear at the Ashford Town Court on a later date.

Deborah L. Balog, 49, of Springville was charged Wednesday with driving while intoxicated, insufficient tail lights and unlawful possession of marijuana. At approximately 1:04 a.m., Balog was found in possession of marijuana during a traffic stop. Balog was released on appearance tickets and will appear at the Town of Ashford Court on a later date.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

KENNEDY – Guillermo Lopez-Rendon, 23, of Mexico was taken into custody Wednesday after police determined he was in the United States illegally. Troopers pulled over a vehicle on Interstate 86 for a traffic violation. After Lopez-Rendon was unable to provide a passport, police contacted the United States Border Patrol and learned he was in the United States illegally.

ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

Jena S. Blocker, 26, of Jamestown was charged on Oct. 29 for trespassing. According to police, Blocker took a trespass complaint from an Ellicott business. Upon completion of investigation, Blocker was arrested, arraigned and released to appear in the Town of Ellicott Court at a later date.

SOUTHERN TIER

REGIONAL TASK FORCE

Tara E. Brooks, 33, of Dunkirk was charged Monday with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. At approximately 5 p.m., Dunkirk Police Department arrested Brooks at her apartment on an outstanding arrest warrant. The warrant was issued based on information that Brooks had sold crack cocaine to agents of the Southern Tier Regional Task Force. Brooks was taken into custody without incident and subsequently transported to Dunkirk City Jail where she will await arraignment. This arrest culminates an investigation that has been ongoing for several months. Authorities anticipate additional arrests as the result of the continued investigation.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Jennifer N. Bernard, 28 of Jamestown was charged Monday with endangering the welfare of a child, aggravated family offense, first-degree reckless endangerment, third-degree unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, failure to stop at a stop sign, failure to yield for emergency vehicle, failure to use turn signal, reckless operation and speed unreasonable and prudent. At approximately 4:33 p.m., officers responded to a domestic incident at 37 Pershing Ave. Upon arrival, officers observed a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle. The suspect took off at a high rate of speed and led officers on a short pursuit. Officers discovered Bernard operating the vehicle and a 6-year-old child in the back seat upon stopping. Officers determined that Bernard was attempting to run her vehicle into a man’s vehicle. Bernard was transported to Jamestown City Jail without incident.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Nestor Reyes, 34, of Dunkirk was charged Thursday with second-degree offering a false instrument. It is alleged that Reyes submitted an application to provide child care to the New York State Office of Children and Family Services, indicating that he had not been convicted of any crimes in New York state. Upon investigation, it was determined that Reyes had numerous convictions in New York state and appeared on the New York state sex offender registry. Reyes will appear at the City of Jamestown Court at a later date.

PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE

TIDIOUTE, Pa. – Travis W. Berkhous, 23, of Tidioute was involved in a motor vehicle accident on Nov. 12. At approximately 7:43 p.m., Berkhous was traveling westbound on Babylon Hill Road. Upon negotiating a right-hand turn, Berkhous lost control, spun counter-clockwise and left the south side of the roadway. Berkhous’s vehicle hit a ditch and turned over on its passenger side. Berkhous was uninjured.

SUGAR GROVE, Pa. – Mark A. Blair, 33, of Sugar Grove was involved in a motor vehicle accident Nov. 11. At approximately 10:33 p.m., Blair was traveling southbound on Hazeltine Hollow Road. Upon negotiating a right turn, Blair lost control, left the east side of the roadway and hit a barbed wire fence with the driver’s side of the vehicle. Blair came to a final rest on the east side of the roadway. Blair was uninjured.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Jeffrey M. Royce, 36, of Hanover was charged Monday with failure to keep right. At approximately 7:30 a.m., police and EMS responded to a motor vehicle accident with injury in Hanover. After investigation, it was alleged that Royce was traveling eastbound on Route 39 when he crossed into oncoming traffic. Royce’s vehicle struck another vehicle head on. The occupants of the other vehicle were uninjured, however Royce was transported to Brooks Memorial Hospital for minor injuries. Royce was issued a traffic ticket for failure to keep right.

Sarah Parke was involved in a motor vehicle accident Monday. At approximately 11 a.m., police and EMS responded to a motor vehicle accident with reports of injuries as well as an overturned vehicle. Witnesses state Parke’s vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic for no apparent reason. Parke then over-corrected and lost control of the vehicle. It was reported that the vehicle then overturned multiple times before landing in a ditch. Parke was transported to Erie County Medical Center for unknown injuries at this time.

Shaun Ellison, 32, of Forestville was charged Sunday with third-degree burglary, third degree criminal possession of a weapon, and fourth-degree criminal mischief. At approximately 3:39 p.m., deputies and New York state police responded to the report of a suspicious vehicle parked at a vacant house on South Roberts Road. Upon arrival, deputies observed Ellison exiting the house. Ellison was allegedly in possession of a metal club. Ellison was arraigned in the Town of Sheridan court and committed to Chautauqua County Jail without bail.

Kerry A. Vasquezmarte, 29, of Forestville was charged Saturday with second-degree harassment. At approximately 7:56 p.m., deputies responded to the report of a victim involved in a physical altercation at Adams Street in Silver Creek. Upon investigation, it was determined that Vasquezmarte punched a female victim in the face while on Buffalo Street. Vasquezmarte is scheduled to appear in Silver Creek Court on a later date.

ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

Shalon M. Corbett, 37, of Jamestown was charged Saturday with second-degree burglary, second-degree harassment and two counts endangering the welfare of a child. After responding to a domestic dispute, police observed Corbett entering a residence through a window and pushing the victim around, causing her to fall to the ground. Once the victim was on the ground, Corbett continued to slam the victim’s head into the floor. This was done in front of the victim’s two children. Corbett was arraigned in Ellicott Court and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail. Clifford P. Stover, 29, of Cleveland, Oh, was charged Sunday with criminal obstruction of breathing. After responding to a domestic dispute at the Red Roof Inn, officers reported that Stover placed his hands around the victim’s neck and choked her. Stover was arraigned in Ellicott Court and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail.

Shawn L. Brickley, 45, of Jamestown was charged Saturday with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated per se and failure to keep right. After responding to a reported vehicle off the roadway on East Avenue in Celoron, police observed Brickley walking away from the vehicle. Upon investigation, police determined Brickley to be intoxicated and took him into custody. Brickley was transported to the Ellicott Police Department and will appear in Ellicott Court on a later date.

Jacob C. Bliss, 19, of Celoron was charged Friday with underage possession of alcohol. After responding to a report of subjects being disorderly and drinking alcohol within a business, police found Bliss in possession of alcohol and underage. Bliss will appear at the Town of Ellicott court on a later date.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

MAYVILLE- Rachael Palkovic, 22, of Erie, Pa., was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .18 percent or greater, speeding, failure to keep right and crossing hazard markings Sunday at 1 a.m. Sheriff’s deputies allegedly observed Palkovic driving erratically, committing several traffic infractions on South Erie Street in Mayville. She was later released from custody and will appear in Chautauqua Court to answer the charges.

PORTLAND- Raymond Dotson, 44, of Portland, was charged with failure to appear on Friday at 4 p.m. Dotson was arrested on a warrant from Portland Court for failure to appear at a previous driving while intoxicated hearing, police said. LAKEWOOD- Joshua Vanord, 19, was charged with failure to keep right and fourth-degree criminal possession of marijuana Thursday at 10:49 p.m. Sheriff’s deputies stopped Vanord on Fairmount Avenue in Lakewood for a traffic violation, and he was allegedly found to be in possession of marijuana. He was taken into custody and later released with appearance tickets. Vanord will appear later in Busti Court to answer the charges.

CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

PERRYSBURG- Donald Pfaffenbach, 32, of Perrysburg, was arrested on a warrant issued out of Cherry Creek Court on Thursday at 9:30 p.m., police said. He was turned over to state police for further processing.

Edwin Velazquez, 53, of Jamestown was charged Wednesday with petit larceny. At approximately 4 p.m., store employees allegedly observed Velazquez leaving Rite Aid, 50 S. Main St., without paying for merchandise. Velazquez attempted to flee the area but was located a short distance away by officers. Velazquez was transported to the city jail without incident.

Randy A. Haskins, 21, of Sinclairville was charged Wednesday with second-degree criminal contempt, aggravated family offense and second-degree criminal impersonation. At approximately 5:30 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Haskins’ vehicle at the intersection of Bowen and Price streets. During the stop, Haskins allegedly provided a false name to police. After officers determined Haskins’ true identity, they found a valid order of protection for Haskins to stay away from another occupant in the vehicle, police said. Haskins was charged with aggravated family offense for a previous domestic violence conviction. Haskins was transported to the city jail without incident.

Luis A. Garcia, 41, of Jamestown was charged Thursday with second-degree criminal contempt. At approximately 3:45 a.m., officers responded to 304 W. Eighth St. for the report of an intoxicated male that was violating an order of protection. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that the male subject was on her porch and was allegedly yelling obscenities at her. Garcia was located in a snow bank behind the house. Garcia was transported to Jamestown City Jail where he is pending arraignment.

Melinda J. McQuiggan, 50, of Blasdell was charged Thursday with improper right turn intersection, moving from lane unsafely, and two misdemeanors – driving while intoxicated and driving with .08 percent of 1 percent or more of alcohol. At approximately 1:34 a.m., officers observed a vehicle failing to keep right during a right turn off Foote Avenue onto Allen Street. The vehicle was also observed moving unsafely on the Arterial at South Main Street and stopped. McQuiggan was found to be intoxicated and arrested. McQuiggan will be arraigned in the Jamestown City Court.

ELLICOTT

POLICE DEPARTMENT

Alana R. Stafford, 19, of Jamestown was charged Wednesday with petit larceny. Police responded to a call from Kmart that complained of shoplifting. Stafford was charged after allegedly having taken various items from the store, police said. Stafford was issued an appearance ticket to appear in court at a later date.

PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE

Thomas Mann, 22, of Warren, Pa., Carl Samuelson, 60, of Ashville, and Brian Gulnac, 33, of Warren, Pa., were involved in a motor vehicle accident Wednesday. At approximately 4:38 p.m., Mann, who was traveling southbound on state Route 62, attempted to make a left turn onto Akeley Road. Mann’s vehicle turned into the path of Samuelson’s vehicle, which was traveling northbound on state Route 62, police said. Samuelson’s vehicle struck Mann’s vehicle causing it to spin into the front end of Gulnac’s vehicle, which was stopped at the stop sign on Akeley Road. No injuries were reported. The operator will be cited for two traffic violations, police said.

Timothy J. Mullen, 23, of Warren, Pa. was charged Nov. 6 with possession of marijuana, driving while intoxicated and other violations. Following a traffic stop, Mullen was found to be intoxicated and in possession of a small amount of marijuana.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE

DEPARTMENT

Gisele Carona, 36, of Jamestown was charged Thursday of two counts of second-degree harassment and fourth-degree criminal mischief. At approximately 11:51 a.m., Carona and another female became disorderly with Wal-Mart employees. After being told to leave, Carona allegedly punched an employee in the face, scratched her face and pulled on her arm, police said. The employee sustained a torn sweater and scratched eyeglass lenses, police said. Another employee was allegedly pushed and punched by Carona. Carona left the store and was located at home by police. She was taken into custody and will appear in court on Nov. 19.

CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Samuel L. McKenney, 32, of Buffalo was charged Sunday with unlawful possession of marijuana and fugitive from justice. Following a traffic stop, deputies found McKenney to be in possession of marijuana. Upon further investigation, deputies discovered McKenney had a bench warrant out of McKean County, Pa. McKenney was arraigned in Town of Salamanca Court and held on the charge from Pennsylvania in the Cattaraugus County Jail pending extradition.

Kara L. John, 37, of Coldspring was charged Friday with second-degree aggravated harassment. The charge stems from alleged threatening phone calls on another individual. John was arraigned in the Salamanca City Court and released on $250 bail. John will appear at Coldspring Town Court at a later date.

John Santiago, 46, of Killbuck was charged Nov. 1 with criminal mischief. At approximately 2:31 p.m., deputies detained Santiago for a traffic infraction. While conducting the investigation, deputies were notified that Santiago had an outstanding warrant out of the town of Brant. Santiago was placed into custody without incident. Santiago will appear in Brant Town Court at a later date.

Jason A. Rivera, 35, and Melissa S. Fisher, 35, both of Olean were charged Nov. 3 with trespassing and petit larceny. At approximately 2:30 p.m., deputies arrested Rivera and Fisher after stealing property and remaining unlawfully at a residence in Great Valley.

Ricky L. Perry, 22, of Buffalo was charged Sunday with unlawful possession of marijuana. At approximately 1 p.m., deputies arrested Perry for unlawful possession of marijuana following a traffic stop in Salamanca. Perry was issued an appearance ticket and released. Perry is due in court on a later date.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Jaimee T. Mix, 39, of Falconer was charged with inadequate headlights, driving while intoxicated, and driving with .08 percent or more of alcohol. At approximately 2:25 a.m., police stopped a vehicle on North Main St. after observing it had inadequate headlights. Upon investigation, it was determined that Mix was intoxicated. Mix will be arraigned in Jamestown City Court.

Damian Rosado, 34, of Jamestown was charged Tuesday with third-degree menacing and criminal mischief. At approximately 11:30 a.m., police responded to a phone call by a 32-year-old woman who stated that Rosado was on her porch and refused to leave. Upon arrival, police asked Rosado to leave. About 25 minutes later, after police cleared the scene, they were contacted again by the victim. A neighbor had witnessed Rosado puncture all four tires of the victim’s vehicle. Police responded but were unable to locate Rosado. A short time later, Rosado made a threat towards the victim while she was waiting for her child to get out of school. The victim requested that police meet her at her home. Upon arrival, police found a brick thrown through her living room window. Rosado was taken into custody, arraigned and released to probation.

ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

Nicholas H. Wilkins, 29, of Bloomsberg, Pa., was charged Tuesday of driving while intoxicated common law, and DWI per se with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or more. At approximately 9:45 p.m., police determined Wilkins was intoxicated. Wilkins was issued an appearance ticket and is due to appear in Ellicott Town Court at a later date.

Moises Lopez-Encarnacion, 23, of Jamestown was charged Tuesday with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, criminal tampering with evidence, obstructing governmental administration, aggravated unlicensed operation, unlawful possession of marijuana and failure to yield to emergency vehicle. At approximately 9 a.m., officers located Lopez-Encarnacion driving a vehicle with a suspended license and attempted to stop the vehicle. Lopez-Encarnacion refused to stop for several blocks and threw a package outside his window. Once the vehicle stopped, officers found Lopez-Encarnacion attempting to eat a quantity of suspected marijuana. Lopez-Encarnacion attempted to move the vehicle again, but police blocked him in. Upon breaking into the vehicle, officers found Lopez-Encarnacion to be in possession of a quantity of heroin packaged for sales along with U.S. currency. Lopez-Encarnacion is currently awaiting arraignment.

Neftali Vellon-Benetiz, 30, of Jamestown was charged Monday with fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment. At approximately 8 p.m., officers responded to a domestic incident on 58 Franklin St. During the investigation, it was determined that Vellon-Benetiz broke a door and its frame, after which he punched a female victim in the face, leaving a red mark. Vellon-Benetiz was transported to the city jail and is currently awaiting arraignment.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Jeremiah J. Russin, 18, of Mayville, and Nicole R. Wlodarek, 21, of Jamestown were charged Sunday with unlawful possession of marijuana and failure to signal turn. At approximately 3:17 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle fail to signal a turn from Route 394 onto Beaujean Road. Upon investigation, it was determined that Russin and Wlodarek were in possession of small quantities of marijuana and smoking pipes. They will appear at the Town of Chautauqua Court on a later date.

Steven Ribbing, 31, of Jamestown, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief Sunday. At approximately 7:41 p.m., police responded to a reported burglary in progress. Police located Ribbing at the residence. Upon investigation, it was determined Ribbing damaged the glass out of an entry door, police said. Ribbing was transported to Jamestown City Jail without incident.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

A 17-year-old from Sinclairville, Jonathan P. Skovira, 22, of Webster, and Georgie V. Hillyer, 43, of Hamburg, were involved in a three-car accident Friday. At approximately 7:37 a.m., deputies responded to the accident. Upon investigation, it was determined that the 17-year-old was traveling northbound on Route 60 when he drove over some ice and lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle entered the southbound lane and sideswiped two oncoming vehicles. Hillyer’s vehicle sustained minor damages to the rear driver side, and Skovira’s vehicle sustained heavy damage along the entire driver side of the vehicle. Skovira’s vehicle was spun around and sent into a ditch on the west side of the roadway. The 17-year-old’s vehicle crashed into a ditch on the east side of the vehicle. Skovira received a minor laceration from the accident and was treated on the scene.

ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

Michael F. Geer, 22, of Celoron, was charged Sunday with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Upon returning Geer to the Waterfront home, he became disorderly and was taken into custody, police said. Geer was remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of bail and is to return to the town of Ellicott Court at a later date.

Nicholas J. Sturtevant, 22, and Elijah B. Brisley, 18, both of Salamanca, were charged Friday with unlawful possession of marijuana. Sturtevant and Brisley were found to be in possession of marijuana during a traffic stop. Both were issued appearance tickets in the town of Ellicott Court at a later date.

Robert Shawn Daniels, 33, of Olean, was charged Sunday with violation of probation. Daniels was charged and taken into custody without incident. Daniels was transported to Cattaraugus County Jail awaiting arraignment.

Lawrence Wynn, of Jamestown, was charged with unnecessary noise, resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration Saturday at 7:08 p.m. Officers responded to a call at Willard Street for a disorderly male, and allegedly could hear Wynn yelling and swearing out an open window. Officers made contact with him in the upstairs apartment, and advised Wynn he was under arrest, police said. Wynn allegedly ran into a bedroom and attempted to leave the apartment. Officers were able to make entry into the room, and Wynn was combative with arresting officers, but he was placed into custody, police said. Wynn was transported to city jail without incident and was waiting arraignment.

Samuel Hess, 20, of Jamestown, was charged with no headlamps, speeding and driving while intoxicated Sunday at 4:40 a.m. Police stopped Hess on Falconer Street at Hopkins Avenue for having no headlamps lit and speeding, police said. Allegedly Hess was intoxicated, and was taken into custody without incident and transported to city jail. He refused to take a chemical breath test while at the jail, police said. Hess was awaiting arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

Christina Wolfe, 35, of Jamestown, was charged with dazzling headlights, unregistered motor vehicle, refusal to take a breath test, misdemeanor driving while intoxicated and misdemeanor driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or more on Saturday at 12:15 a.m. Wolfe was allegedly observed traveling west on West Third Street with high beams on, and was stopped on West Third Street at Stewart Avenue. An investigation showed that the vehicle had an expired registration, and Wolfe refused to submit to a prescreen test and was found to be intoxicated, police said. She will be arraigned in Jamestown City Court.

Philip Baxter, 22, of Jamestown was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, second-degree obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest Saturday at 3:35 a.m. Officers were dispatched to Hallock Street for a report of a male subject who had just broken a window. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that Baxter had allegedly damaged her window as she was sleeping. As officers were investigating, they found Baxter was on an exterior fire escape near an upstairs window, and while officers were detaining Baxter, he refused to comply with officers’ commands and attempted to flee the area on foot, police said. He was apprehended and subsequently fought with officers as they placed him in temporary wrist restraints, police said. He was taken into custody and transported to city jail.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

Austin Gordon, 47, of Jamestown was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater, speeding and expired inspection on Wednesday at 2:17 a.m. An officer observed a vehicle at a high rate of speed and stopped the vehicle, police said. Gordon was found to be intoxicated, according to police. He will appear in Busti Court at a later date to answer the charges.

Mick Peterson was charged with obstructing governmental administration Saturday at 11:30 p.m. Lakewood-Busti Police were dispatched to a vehicle off the roadway, and upon arrival Peterson fled the scene on foot, police said. Police chased Peterson through a field and into a wooded area, requesting the assistance of Jamestown Police Department’s K-9 unit, police said. Peterson was taken into custody without incident. The details and cause of the accident are still under investigation.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

SILVER CREEK-James Roberto, 30, of Silver Creek, was charged with failure to stop at a stop sign, failure to use a turn signal, driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater on Sunday at 1:13 a.m. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies observed Roberto traveling northbound on Parkway Street go through the stop sign at the intersection of Central Avenue without stopping, police said. Allegedly he was found to be under the influence of alcohol and taken into custody where he was released to a sober party. Roberto will appear back in court at a later date to answer the charges.

HANOVER-Amber Harrison, 36, of Hanover, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment Sunday at 10 a.m. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a residence in Hanover for a loud verbal dispute. Allegedly Harrison was involved in a verbal altercation with the victims which then escalated to a physical altercation. It is also alleged Harrison slammed the door of the residence, causing the glass window to shatter. She was later located and issued appearance tickets. She will appear in Hanover Court on a later date.

MINA-Grace Feick, 35, of Erie, Pa., was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance out of the original container on Thursday at 6:53 p.m. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a vehicle complaint for erratic operation on Interstate 86 where they found the vehicle parked on the shoulder in Mina. Feick allegedly was operating her vehicle under the influence of drugs and was in possession of various controlled medications. She was taken into custody, processed and released with appearance tickets for Mina Court.

PORTLAND-Tracy Berry, 43, of Portland, was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater, speeding and open container in motor vehicle Saturday at 12:19 a.m. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies stopped a vehicle that was observed speeding on Highland Avenue in Portland, police said. Berry was allegedly intoxicated. She was released to appear back in Portland Court at a later date.

SILVER CREEK-Jennifer Dominessy, 39, was charged with second-degree harassment Friday at 8:23 p.m. Chautauqua County Sheriff deputies were dispatched to a residence on Babcock Street in Silver Creek for an unwanted subject. Allegedly Dominessy punched a female subject in the face at the residence and was taken into custody. She was arraigned and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail on $500 bail.

CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

OLEAN-Brenda Dapolito, 35, of Olean, was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content greater than .08 percent and aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content greater than .18 percent Thursday at 2:40 a.m. Dapolito was in a two-car motor vehicle accident on Route 16 south in Olean and was processed and released to a third party, police said. She is due in Olean Court at a later date.

RANDOLPH-Dennis Ocoboc, 67, of Bemus Point, was taken into custody on a warrant issued out of Randolph Court for aggravated harassment. He was arraigned and is being held on $250 bail.

CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

EAST CHICAGO, Ind. – Kim William Rowher, 57, of East Chicago, was charged at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday on a bench warrant issued by the Cattaraugus County Court after failing to show for a hearing on his felony aggravated driving while intoxicated, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and operating without an ignition interlock device charges from December 2012. Acting on information received, deputies contacted the East Chicago (Ind.) Police Department who located Rowher at his employment and took him into custody without incident. He is currently being held in Indiana pending extradition back to Cattaraugus County.

ALLEGANY – Gregory P. Benavidez Jr., 20, of 1892 Four Mile Road, Lot 3, Allegany, was charged at 8:13 p.m. on Wednesday for a violation of probation warrant. He was taken to Allegany Town Court where he was arraigned, was remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail and will appear in court at a later date.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

GERRY – Robert J. Austin, 35, of 26 Ulrich Park Drive, Cassadaga, was charged at 9:50 p.m. on Sunday with failure to yield the right of way, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, driving while intoxicated and aggravated DWI. Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on Route 60 in the town of Gerry. Upon arrival, it was discovered that the driver left the scene. Investigation determined that Austin was operating the motor vehicle when he failed to yield the right of way to oncoming traffic and struck a vehicle traveling southbound. Austin was charged and will appear in the town of Gerry Court at a later date.

IRVING – Thomas F. Gagola, 52, of Irving was charged at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday with second-degree harassment and disorderly conduct. At 2:30 p.m. Gagola went to 845 Routes 5/20, Irving and used obscene and abusive language in a public place and then tried to strike a nurse with a closed fist. He was arraigned in the Town of Hanover Court and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of bail.

BROCTON – Raymond L. Dotson, 44, of Brocton was charged at 6:21 p.m. on Thursday with passing on the right, improper passing, moving from lane unsafely, driving while intoxicated and aggravated DWI. Sheriff’s deputies on patrol on Main Street in the village of Brocton observed an eastbound vehicle pass another eastbound vehicle on the right. The vehicle was stopped for the traffic infraction and Dotson was identified at the operator. After a short investigation, he was charged, processed and later arraigned in the Town of Portland Court. He will appear in Portland Court at a later date and time.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Stephen C. Snyder, 62, of Jamestown was charged at 11:43 p.m. on Thursday with improper right turn intersection, unregistered motor vehicle, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument and tampering with physical evidence. On Thursday, a vehicle was observed failing to keep right as it turned south off Allen Street onto English Street. The vehicle was stopped on Barrows Street and Snyder was observed operating it. During the investigation, Snyder was observed trying to hide a hypodermic instrument under his foot and kick it out of the vehicle. He was charged and will be arraigned in the Jamestown City Court.

James D. Blankenship Jr., 25, of Jamestown was charged at 12:51 a.m. on Friday with criminal possession of a weapon. Officers conducted a vehicle stop on Crescent Street, near Thayer Street. While interviewing the occupants of the vehicle, officers observed a pair of metal knuckles on the floor near the rear passenger. Further investigation revealed that the metal knuckles belonged to Blankenship who was the rear passenger. He was taken into custody and transported to the city jail without incident.

Kevin R. Harvey, 32, of Jamestown was charged at 12:37 a.m. on Friday with driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI and speed in zone. Jamestown police observed a vehicle speeding across the Washington Street bridge. Police stopped the vehicle and spoke with Harvey, the operator, and after speaking with him and a series of field sobriety texts, he was charged. Harvey submitted to a breath test which revealed his blood alcohol content to be more than twice the legal limit. He was released on traffic tickets to return to court at a later date.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

BUSTI – David Zaffino, of Warren, Pa., was charged at 3:31 p.m. on Thursday with unlawful possession of marijuana and speed in zone. A vehicle was stopped on Wellman Road, in the town of Busti, for speed in zone and during an investigation it was discovered that Zaffino had a small amount of marijuana and a pipe on his person. He was issued appearance tickets and is schedule to appear in the town of Busti court at a later date.

Ronald M. Livk, 73, of Falconer was charged Wednesday with second-degree criminal nusiance. At approximately 4 p.m., Livk was arrested for an incident that occurred Saturday, in which he defecated on a sidewalk in Falconer and left the area, endangering the safety and health of others. Livk is due to appear in the Town of Ellicott Court at a later date.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

James C. Blue of Jamestown was charged Thursday with fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and violation of federal probation. At approximately 8 a.m., Jamestown Police Drug Enforcement assisted agents of the U.S. Probation office in arresting Blue at his apartment. The operation was part of an ongoing investigation of drug sales in the city. Blue’s apartment was found to have approximately 4.3 grams of cocaine and other evidence of drug use and distribution. A quantity of U.S. currency was also seized. Blue will we arraigned in Jamestown City Court.

John A. West, 28, of Jamestown was charged Thursday with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operator, failure to signal turn, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminally possessing a hypodermic needle and criminal tampering of physical substance. At approximately 11:57 a.m., officers observed West fail to signal when making a turn. During a traffic stop, West tried to dispose a small amount of heroin. Officers found a hypodermic needle in West’s car. West was transported to Jamestown City Jail.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

Martin L. Seekings, 50, of Jamestown was charged Thursday with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. Seekings was issued an appearance ticket after allegedly stealing property from Foot Locker.

CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Ian J. Macneal, 22, of Portville was charged Tuesday with violation of probation. At approximately 4:50 p.m., Macneal was taken into custody on a warrant for violation of a probation. Macneal was taken for arraignment in the Village of Portville Court. He was released and will appear in court at a later date.

Zachary R. Richardson, 21, of Killbuck was charged Wednesday with fourth-degree criminal mischief. At approximately 2 a.m., deputies responded to a domestic incident between Richardson and his father. Richardson was arrested for destroying property within the residence. Richardson was taken to the Town of Carroll Court for arraignment and was held on $1,000 bail to return to Great Valley Court on a later date.

PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE

Evan A. Ritt, 20, of Lakewood, Colorado, was involved in a motor-vehicle accident Tuesday. At approximately 9:15 p.m., Ritt struck a bear while traveling north on Route 62. The impact to the driver’s-side front fender caused disabling damage, requiring towing.

SILVER CREEK – Douglas E. Bastedo, 22, of Silver Creek was charged Tuesday with unlawful possession of marijuana. At approximately 10 p.m., officers took Bastedo into custody after he was allegedly found to be in possession of a small bag of marijuana.

CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

SALAMANCA – Jason G. Siafakas, 32, of 6533 Hardscrabble Road, Killbuck, was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana following a traffic stop on Wildwood Avenue in the city of Salamanca. He was processed and taken to the Salamanca City Jail to await arraignment on the charges.

PERRYSBURG – Tammy L. Fisher, 43, of Forestville was charged Saturday with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated blood alcohol content more than .08 percent, failure to keep right and unsafe backing after she was stopped on North Road for almost hitting a patrol car head on. During the investigation, her vehicle was put in reverse and almost struck the patrol car. She was administered a standard field sobriety test, charged and is due back in the town of Perrysburg Court.

PERRYSBURG – David H. Buck, 43, of 6782 Alderbottom Road, Conewango Valley, was charged at 3:31 a.m. Saturday with driving while intoxicated, speed in 55 zone, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle and unlawful possession of marijuana with further charges pending after being stopped on Route 39 for speeding and having a plate lamp out. Investigation revealed an open beer container in the vehicle along with a quantity of marijuana with further charges pending. Chris T. Farnham, 38, also of 6782 Alderbottom Road, was also charged in relation to this incident for obstruction of governmental administration when she refused to comply with deputies during the administering of a standard field sobriety test, refusing to stay in the vehicle and becoming argumentative. They are both due back in the town of Perrysburg Court.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

BUSTI – Lionel A. Wescott Jr., 25, of 5290 Spooner Road, Ashville, was charged at 3;50 a.m. on Oct. 27 with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated per se, expired inspection and speeding. A Lakewood-Busti Police Officer was on patrol on Baker Street Extension and observed a vehicle speeding. Upon further investigation, Wescott was found to be operating the vehicle and was intoxicated. He will appear in the Town of Busti Court at a later date to answer the charges.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Trevor M. Spetz, 26, of Jamestown, was charged Tuesday of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. During a traffic stop on the south side of the city, Jamestown Police Department located a switchblade knife in Spetz’s vehicle. Spetz also had a suspended driver’s license, police said. Spetz was charged and transported to the city.

STATE POLICE

Julia E. Madigan, 20, was involved in a motor vehicle accident Saturday. At approximately 10:20 p.m., Madigan, who was traveling southbound on Cobham Park Road, struck a deer while negotiating a right curve. The collision caused Madigan’s vehicle to leave the roadway and enter a ditch along the southbend shoulder. The vehicle eventually struck an embankment, causing it to perform a complete 360-degree spinout across both lanes of travel. The vehicle struck a guide rail located along the northbound shoulder with its rear bumper, police said. Madigan sustained minor injuries.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Raymond L. Dotson, 44, of Brocton, was charged Saturday with failing to stop at a stop sign, open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, driving while intoxicated and aggravated DWI with a blood alcohol content greater than .18 percent. At approximately 6:55 p.m., deputies dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on Nobles Road in Gerry, where upon investigation, Dotson was alleged to be operating the vehicle in an intoxicated condition. Dotson was charged and later released with traffic tickets. He will appear at the Gerry Court on a later date.

Sara J. De Young, 33, of Silver Creek, was charged Tuesday with third-degree grand larceny, misuse of SNAP/food stamps and fraudulent receipt of benefits. It was alleged that from June 1, 2012, through Aug. 31, 2012, De Young failed to report income received by her husband. This unreported income allowed De Young to receive $4,660.43 in unentitled benefits. De Young is scheduled to appear in Jamestown Court at a later date.

A 16-year-old male from Silver Creek was charged Sunday with unlawful possession of marijuana. At approximately 6 p.m., the male was arrested after allegedly being in possession of a small bag of marijuana and a marijuana blunt.

ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

William C. Haley, 51, was charged Friday with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident. At approximately 1:15 p.m., a two-car motor vehicle accident occurred on Fairmount Avenue. One of the vehicle operators was transported by the Celoron Fire Department to WCA Hospital for minor injuries. Police found Haley at a store on Fairmount Avenue after leaving the scene of the accident. Haley was found to have a revoked New York state license. Haley is due to appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.

Jimi Jo Sobczak, 38, Maurita L. Shaver, 28, and Gladys M. Lanphere, 58, all of Jamestown, were charged last week with petit larceny, endangering the welfare of a minor and sixth-degree conspiracy. Ellicott police responded to a call of three shoplifters at the Wegmans store on Fairmount Avenue. Wegmans Asset Protection had the three females in custody at their security office. During the investigation, it was found that two juveniles were present while the shoplifting occurred, police said. The three will appear at Ellicott Court on a later date.

A stolen vehicle was recovered Thursday in Cassadaga Creek, at the point where it runs into the Chadakoin River near Water Street. Ellicott Police Department responded to an eyewitness who observed vehicle tracks heading into the creek. Officers, with the assistance of the Chautauqua County water emergency team, found the vehicle approximately 100 yards downstream due to the water’s heavy current. The vehicle was unoccupied and later found to be stolen from Jamestown. Jamestown Police Department reported the vehicle stolen on Oct. 30.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Timothy A. Himes, 35, of Frewsburg, was charged Sunday with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. At approximately 1:57 a.m., police responded to a report of a man crawling on the road near East Second Street and Tiffany Avenue. Upon investigation, officers determined Himes was highly intoxicated and in possession of a gravity knife, police said. Himes was transported to Jamestown City Jail.

CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Paul J. Csati, 31, of Cattaraugus, was charged Saturday with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and unlawful possession of marijuana. At approximately 3:04 a.m., deputies arrested Csati on a traffic stop in Ashford. Csati was driving with a suspended license and in possession of marijuana. Csati was arraigned in the town of Ashford Court and taken to Cattaraugus County Jaul. Csati is due back in Ashford court at a later date.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Gloria Candelaria, 33, of Jamestown, has been cited with multiple charges after she was allegedly observed failing to keep right while driving on Bush Street approaching the intersection with Winsor Street at 12:57 a.m. Saturday. Candelaria was found to have a revoked ID only New York driving status due to a prior DWI within the past 10 years, police said. Candelaria was charged and transported to the Jamestown Police Department, where she was determined to be intoxicated, police said. She was charged with failure to keep right, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operator and driving with a blood alcohol content level of .08 percent or higher. Candelaria will be arraigned in the Jamestown City Court.

Steven L. Rickerson, 49, of Jamestown, was charged at 8:58 p.m. Friday after the investigation of a head-on accident on Barker Street between South Main Street and Broadhead Avenue. After officers responded to the scene, it was discovered that the suspect vehicle, driven by Rickerson, had left the scene and made it to South Main Street near Newland Avenue before it broke down, police said. Rickerson was allegedly found to be operating the suspect vehicle in an intoxicated condition. He was charged with failure to keep right, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content level of .18 percent or higher. No injuries were reported from the accident and Rickerson will be arraigned in the Jamestown City Court.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

SHERMAN – Angus R. Calhoun, 22, of Sherman, was charged Saturday morning following a traffic stop in the village of Sherman. At approximately 2:13 a.m., Sheriff’s patrol stopped a vehicle, operated by Calhoun, for allegedly speeding on Hart Street. Following an investigation, Calhoun was charged for driving while intoxicated. He was taken into custody and charged with driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content level of .08 percent or higher and speeding. He was later released to appear back in Sherman Town Court on a later date.

PORTLAND – Sergio L. Dros, 22, of Westfield, was charged Saturday morning after a traffic stop in the town of Portland. At 1:28 a.m., Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies stopped a vehicle on Route 20 for an alleged traffic violation. Following an investigation, the operator of the vehicle, Dros, was found to be intoxicated, police said. A check of Dros’ driving privileges also revealed numerous suspensions for prior traffic-related incidents. Dros was taken into custody on the charges of driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or higher, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, unlicensed operation and failure to maintain traffic lane. He was processed and later released to appear in Portland Court on a later date.

PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE

Michael J. Koers, 32, of Russell, will face summary traffic citations following an accident while riding his 2008 Suzuki Boulevard motorcycle on Friday. The crash occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m., as Koers was negotiating a left curve in the roadway while heading eastbound on Hatch Run Road, police said. Koers allegedly lost control of his motorcycle and laid it down on its left side. The vehicle slid off the south side of the roadway and entered a wooded area. Koers suffered minor injuries and allegedly left the scene without contacting the police.

SHEFFIELD – Instances of burglary at two residences occurred between Thursday and Saturday in the town of Sheffield. At an unknown time between Thursday and Saturday, an actor or actors stole a Jimmie Johnson “48” kids’ table and chair set, valued at $30, from the front of the victim’s residence at 116 Brockway Lane. Between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, an actor or actors entered another victim’s residence at 110 Brockway Lane and opened drawers and cupboards. CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Erika M. Lee, 27, of Randolph; Matthew R. Moran, 29, of Steamburg; Kyle E. Bartlett, 21, of Salamanca; Richard M. Brain, 47, of South Dayton; and Lisa M. Cislo, 33, of South Dayton were charged with trespassing at 8:45 p.m. on Wednesday in the Gurnsey Hollow Cemetery, town of South Valley. They were charged, issued appearance tickets and released.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

David R. Lesak, 42, of Barrows Street, Jamestown, was charged at 5:40 p.m. on Thursday with second-degree obstructing governmental administration and several felony warrants. Jamestown Police Department officers were on patrol in the area of the 7-Eleven store, 340 Allen St., when they noticed four suspicious males near the back of the property. As officers walked up to talk with the males, one of them started running away from the scene. This male was told several times to stop and he refused. He was caught by officers a short distance later and charged.

Alexander J. Foti, 28, of Jamestown, was charged at 12:27 a.m. on Friday with moving from lane unsafely, driving with intoxicated and aggravated DWI. Officers of the 3rd Platoon were dispatched to the intersection of East Second Street and Hopkins Avenue for a two-car property damage car accident. When police arrived on location they spoke with a witness who stated that a westbound vehicle on East Second Street struck a parked car on East Second Street then struck a utility pole, coming to rest in an empty nearby lot. Offices then spoke with Foti who told officers that he struck the vehicle and the utility pole. He was put through standardized field sobriety and was determined to be intoxicated. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the city jail pending arraignment. He submitted to a breath test indicating his blood alcohol content was almost three times the legal limit and was charged.

Neftalli Vellon Benitez, 33, of Jamestown was charged at 9:50 a.m. on Friday with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Jamestown Police Department officers performed a traffic stop in the area of Chandler Street at Foote Avenue. While speaking to the driver, officers observed metal knuckles which were located in the center console. The driver, Benitez, was transported to the city jail where he awaits arraignment. He is also charged with several traffic tickets.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Larry Campbell, 43, of Jamestown was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, third-degree assault and third-degree criminal mischief on Tuesday at 8:55 p.m. Jamestown Police responded to Price Street for a physical domestic and upon arrival, officers located the victim at a neighbors house. Campbell allegedly punched the victim several times in the face and destroyed two computers inside the residence during the dispute. The victim sustained heavy bruising and swelling to the left side of the face and was transported to the WCA. There is a valid order of protection for the defendant to stay away from the victim. Campbell was transported to city jail and was held until arraignment.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

Jeremy Pognant, 24, Ashville was arrested on a bench warrant on Tuesday at noon. He was arraigned in Busti Court.

Neal Nelson, 23, of Falconer was arrested on an arrest warrant for petit larceny that occurred at Wal-Mart in Lakewood on Wednesday at 2 p.m. He will appear in court at a later date.

Lisa Stucke, 47, of Ontario, Canada was charged with petit larceny on Thursday at 11:35 a.m. Stucke allegedly left E.B.E.’s Originals without paying for $57.50 worth of merchandise. She was arraigned and directed to be back in court on Nov. 20.

Scott Morrison, 37, of Jamestown was arrested on a fugitive from justice warrant out of Pike County, Pa. on Thursday at 12:50 p.m. He was arrested without incident and arraigned in Busti Court and turned over to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

BROCTON -Sarah Langford, 23, of Fredonia was charged with second-degree criminal contempt on Oct. 25 at 9:45 p.m. Chautauqua County Sheriff deputies responded to an aggravated harassment complaint on Greenbush Street in Brocton. Langford had allegedly contacted the victim multiple times, in direct violation of a valid order of protection. She was charged and issued appearance tickets and will appear in Brocton Court at a later date.

STOCKTON -Christopher Hartney, 22, of Stockton was charged with second-degree harassment on Wednesday at 5:20 p.m. Hartney allegedly threatened another subject by threatening to do harm and kill the other subject. He was issued and appearance ticket and will appear in court at a later time and date.

RIPLEY -Kyle Hannold, 19, and two youths, 16 and 17, all of Ripley were charged with third-degree assault on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to Westfield Memorial Hospital to contact a victim from an alleged assault. After an investigation and interviews, the three were issued appearance tickets to answer to the charges in Ripley Court at a later date.

CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

CARROLLTON -Derek Stellrecht, 37, of Cuba was charged with felony driving while intoxicated, felony aggravated DWI with a blood alcohol content of .18 percent or greater and moving from lane unsafely on Tuesday at 8:10 p.m. Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to Interstate 86 in Carrollton for an erratic operator complaint. Stellrecht was allegedly weaving and a vehicle stop was commenced. Stellrecht failed roadside sobriety tests and he was placed into custody, police said. He was taken to the Sheriff’s Office in Little Valley for processing. Stellrecht was arraigned in Cattaraugus County Court and released on his own recognizance.

STATE POLICE

Anthony Whippo, 19, of Frewsburg was charged with driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed on Oct. 25 at 5:45 a.m. Whippo was traveling north on Robin Hill Road on snow-covered roadways in his 2003 GMC Sierra. Whippo allegedly tried to negotiate a left curve in the roadway and lost control. The vehicle left the east side of the road where it struck an embankment and an electric box with its front end. It continued to travel across the roadway and left the west edge of the roadway where it then struck a tree and rolled over onto its roof coming to a final rest facing north. There were minor injuries.
