JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Wayne Miller, 51, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree criminal contempt and aggravated family offense on Wednesday at 12:30 a.m. Jamestown Police responded to Winsor Street for a report of a domestic dispute in progress and Miller was allegedly found to be inside the residence with the victim while there was a valid order of protection issued by Jamestown City Court for Miller to stay away from the victim. Miller was taken into custody without incident and transported to Jamestown City Jail. He is currently awaiting arraignment by Jamestown City Court.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
RIPLEY – David Baum, 25, of Ripley was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater, failure to keep right and speed not reasonable and prudent on Tuesday at 11 p.m. Charges are being filed due to an accident which was reported May 16 at 12:07 a.m. on Route 76 in Ripley. Baum was allegedly traveling south on Route 76 operating a 2009 Harley-Davidson motorcycle at a high rate of speed and failed to negotiate a curve and impacted on a guard rail. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies received toxicology reports back from the case as Baum was alleged to be intoxicated at the time of the crash. He will answer the charges in Ripley Court.
HANOVER – John Wasierski, 38, of Irving was charged with petit larceny on Monday at 9:10 p.m. Wasierski allegedly stole a Bosch Skill Saw and a Milwaukee Limited Edition Sawzall from his landlord on Sept. 5.
CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
NAPOLI – Russell Conklin, 46, of Steamburg was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI and moving from lane unsafely on Sunday at 1:40 a.m. Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s deputies were called to Jamestown Road in Napoli for a report of a one-car property damage accident. Conklin was allegedly intoxicated when he struck a tree on Jamestown Road. He was released on appearance tickets and is due back in Napoli Court at a later date to answer for the charges.
LITTLE VALLEY – Jonathan Huchingson, 27, of Little Valley was arrested on a warrant issued out of Ashford Court on Sunday at 3:40 p.m.. He was arraigned in Ashford Court and released. Huchingson is due back in Ashford Court at a later date.
LITTLE VALLEY – Michael Doner, 20, of Randolph was arrested on probation warrant out of Salamanca on Oct. 23 at 8 p.m. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Salamanca Police Department to answer the violation charge.
OTTO – Mike Diaz-Perez, 57, of Otto was charged with third-degree assault, second-degree harassment, criminal obstruction of breathing, criminal possession of a weapon and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child on Sunday at 5:45 p.m. He was arraigned in Otto and released on his own recognizance to be due back in Otto Court at a later date.
OLEAN – Edwin App, 59, of Olean was charged with third-degree assault on Oct. 23 at 9:50 p.m. He was arraigned in Allegany and is to appear in court at a later date.
SALAMANCA – Nicholas Stoll, 35, of Salamanca was arrested at his residence on a violation of probation warrant issued by Salamanca Court on Saturday at 6 p.m. He was transported to Salamanca Police Department and held for arraignment at a later time.
COLDSPRING – James Newell, 36, of Steamburg was charged with first-degree reckless endangerment and fourth-degree criminal possession of a firearm on Monday at 6:15 p.m. Newell allegedly fired a round from his 30-06 rifle into the ground in close proximity to the 53-year-old male victim. The round was fired into concrete and shrapnel struck the victim. The victim was flown to ECMC where he was treated for his injuries and released. Newell was arraigned in Salamanca Court and held on $10,000 cash bail. He is to reappear in Coldspring Court at a later date.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
James D.L. Peterson, 30, and Matthew R. Thayer, 26, were charged at 1:49 a.m. on Friday with second-degree obstructing governmental administration. Jamestown Police and the K-9 Unit responded to Niagara Avenue at Falconer Street to assist the New York State Police locate two fleeing suspects involved in a suspicious situation. Upon arrival, Jamestown Police K-9 tracked the two suspects and located them at Lindsey Avenue at East Second Street. The suspects fled on foot after being told to stop by the police. They were taken into custody after a short foot pursuit. Both Peterson and Thayer were charged and transported to city jail awaiting arraignment.
Rebecca N. Olson, 33, of Jamestown was charged at 11:08 p.m. on Thursday with a bench warrant for third-degree aggravated unlicensed operator, resisting arrest, two counts failing to keep right, improper left turn on a two-way roadway, refusal to take a breath test, driving while intoxicated and a new charge of third-degree aggravated unlicensed operator. A vehicle was observed failing to keep right on Washington Street near West Seventh Street, failing to keep right, making a left turn onto West 10th Street and failing to keep right on West 10th at Lafayette Street. The vehicle was stopped on West 11th Street at Washington and Olson was observed operating the vehicle, police said. Olson was found to have a warrant out of Jamestown for third-degree aggravated unlicensed operator. While being handcuffed, she allegedly attempted to resist arrest but was secured. She was transported to city jail and was allegedly found to be intoxicated. An investigation into her driving record showed that she had a suspended New York state driver’s licence. She was charged and will be arraigned in Jamestown City Court.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
LAKEWOOD – Brenda J. Beck, 60, of Frewsburg was charged at 1:33 p.m. on Thursday with petit larceny. Beck allegedly stole merchandise from Wal-Mart in Lakewood and then returned the merchandise for a gift card in the amount of $77. She was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Busti Court at a later date.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Lloyd Delahoy, 55, of Jamestown was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI and speed in zone on Thursday at 12:47 a.m. Jamestown officers allegedly observed a vehicle traveling at an excessive speed across the Third Street bridge. Delahoy was intoxicated and arrested. He will appear in court at a later date.
Terrance Thomas, 55, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, obstructing governmental administration, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and failure to signal turn on Thursday at 11:13 a.m. After an officer stopped Thomas for failing to signal turn, he allegedly exited the vehicle and refused to show the officer his hands as he kept them concealed in his vest pockets. He finally showed his hands and was taken to the ground and into custody without further incident, police said. Thomas was found to be operating a vehicle with an expired registration and his with a revoked drivers license, police said. He was also in possession of a pair of metal knuckles and a small amount of oxycodone. Thomas was transported to Jamestown City Jail.
ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT
Aaron Miller, 19, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree aggravated harassment. Miller allegedly kept calling and texting another subject, threatening to harm to them. He was arraigned in Ellicott Court and was released on own recognizance to be back in on a later date.
Sarah Nickerson, 32, of Jamestown was charged with petit larceny on Wednesday. Nickerson allegedly left Wegmans with $95.19 worth of merchandise without paying. Ellicott Police were able to find her and issued an appearance ticket to be in Ellicott Court at a later date.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Robert Ellsworth Sr., 46, of Jamestown was charged with endangering the welfare of a child on Tuesday at 11:21 p.m. Jamestown Police responded to assist New York State Parole with a home check and allegedly Ellsworth allowed the victim, a minor, inside his residence. Ellsworth is currently on parole and stipulations of his parole is that he is not allowed to be in the presence of minors. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. Ellsworth was awaiting arraignment by Jamestown City Court.
Robert Zimmerman, 56, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree attempted robbery and third-degree menacing on Wednesday at 8:15 a.m. A report was made to the Jamestown Police regarding an attempted robbery of a cell phone that had occurred on West Third Street in Jamestown. The victim reported Zimmerman allegedly had approached her and attempted to forcefully take her cell phone from her hands as she walked down the street. He then allegedly threatened to cause harm to the victim. Zimmerman did flee the area, but was located by police at Sixth Street and Main Street a short time later, police said. He was being held in the Jamestown City Jail and was awaiting arraignment.
ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT
Justin Vansickle, 22, and Travis Vansickle, 28, both of Jamestown were charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. During a vehicle and traffic stop conducted by the Ellicott Police Department, both were allegedly found to be in the possession of marijuana. They are to appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
A 16-year-old female of Jamestown was charged with petit larceny on Tuesday at 5:15 p.m. She allegedly stole clothing, makeup and perfume valuing a total of $30.89. She was issued an appearance ticket to be in Busti Court at a later date.
Sean Trask, 43, of Lakewood was charged with second-degree harassment on Tuesday at 2:43 p.m. Lakewood-Busti Police responded to a physical domestic dispute in progress, and upon arrival Trask allegedly grabbed the victim by the face and shook the victim’s head. He was arrested and arraigned in Busti Court and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail on bail.
Joseph Estus, 25, of Jamestown was charged with petit larceny on Tuesday at 12:30 a.m. Estus allegedly left Wal-Mart on Fairmount Avenue with a shopping cart full of stolen items in total of $535.29. He was arrested and will appear in Busti Court at a later date to answer to his charge.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
PORTLAND -Brian Wagner Jr., 29, of Brocton was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana on Monday at 6:35 p.m. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the area of Route 20 in Portland for an individual passed out in a vehicle on the side of the road. Wagner was allegedly found operating his vehicle under the influence of a narcotic drug, as well as to be in possession of a controlled substance and a quantity of marijuana. He was processed and released. Wagner will appear in Portland Court at a later date.
JAMESTOWN – Ryan Bloom, 28, of Jamestown was charged with petit larceny on Oct. 14 at 7:40 p.m. On July 23, Bloom allegedly took $150 from an individual as payment to start some repair work on her house. After taking the money, he never returned to the residence to do the repair work. Bloom was advised by deputies to return the money, but he failed to do so.
CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
COLDSPRING – Justin Schapp, 37, of Salamanca was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon on Friday at 12:30 a.m. Schapp was stopped by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Police for several environmental conservation violations and was found to be in possession of a pistol without a New York State Pistol Permit. He was processed and released with an appearance ticket.
RANDOLPH -Timothy Howard, 50, of Jamestown was charged with a bench warrant of a failure to pay a fine out of Olean and failure to signal turn. Howard was arrested after Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle he was driving for failure to signal turn. He was arrested without incident and turned over to the Olean Police Department.
GOWANDA – Kaylene Hellriegel, 29, of Gowanda was charged with issuing a bad check. Hellriegel had issued a bad check to the supermarket in South Dayton, and she was taken into custody without incident and arraigned in Persia Court. She is due to appear in South Dayton Court to answer the charge at a later date.
PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE
Gayle Downing, 30, and Kimberly Stolar, 22, were charged with harassment on Tuesday at 1 p.m. Allegedly Downing and Stolar struck an 18-year-old victim in the head several times and they will answer to their charge at the Magisterial District Court.

Michael S. Oldro, 43, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree criminal contempt Saturday at 5:40 p.m. Upon responding to a domestic incident at 126 W. Virginia Blvd., police made contact with a female victim who stated the male suspect had left the residence. After further investigation, it was determined that the female had a valid order of protection against the male suspect, who was later taken into custody without incident at a nearby residence. Oldro was transported to Jamestown City Jail where he awaits arraignment.
David C. Oberg, 53, of Warren, Pa., was charged with driving in the wrong direction on a one-way street, driving while intoxicated and driving with .08 percent of 1 percent or more of alcohol on Monday at 2:55 a.m. Oberg’s vehicle was stopped after police observed the vehicle traveling east on the one-way street of West Sixth Street. Oberg was found to be intoxicated. Oberg will be arraigned in the Jamestown City Court.
Thomas S. Bundy, 42, of Jamestown was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, and driving the wrong way on a one-way street Sunday at 1:35 a.m. After observing Bundy’s vehicle driving the wrong way on West Second Street, police conducted a traffic stop at Lafayette Street and performed a series of sobriety tests on Bundy, who was deemed intoxicated. Bundy also underwent a chemical test at the Jamestown City Jail which revealed his blood alcohol content to be more than twice the legal limit.
Kim L. Brightman, 27, of Jamestown was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and resisting arrest Saturday at 8:35 p.m. After responding to a domestic incident at 431 Allen St., police advised Brightman, who was acting disorderly and using obscene language in front of a 4-year-old child, to leave the residence. While leaving the residence, Brightman pushed an adult male holding onto the child, causing him to trip and almost drop the child. Brightman physically resisted officers attempting to place handcuffs on her. Brightman was arrested and transported to city jail awaiting arraignment.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
Joshua C. Hinson, 18, of Jamestown was charged with bench warrant and failure to appear on Monday. Hinson failed to appear in the Town of Busti Court on Sept. 4 on an original charge of petit larceny. He is being held at the Chautauqua County Jail on unrelated charges.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
HANOVER – David Sodaro, 55, of Silver Creek was charged with three counts of third-degree menacing Friday at 8:40 p.m. Sodaro was allegedly making verbal threats to harm his neighbors and girlfriend while in possession of a metal pipe. Sodaro was located and arrested on scene by deputies, arraigned in the village of Silver Creek and sent to Chautauqua County Jail with bail.
SHERMAN – Rickey H. Pratt, 43, Ashlee K. Waite, 17, and Ashley R. Kelly, 17, all of Sherman, were involved in a motor vehicle accident at I-86 eastbound around mile marker 10 on Monday at 5:44 a.m. Upon investigation, it was determined that Pratt, who struck a deer, pulled off to the right side of the road to inspect damage and call CCSO for a report. Waite, and co-passenger Kelly, who were also traveling eastbound, pulled over to the left lane to avoid Pratt’s vehicle on the right shoulder. The deer that Pratt struck was in the left lane, forcing Waite to swerve left off of the roadway and roll over. Waite was treated and released on scene. Kelly was transported to Hamot Medical Center for minor injuries. No charges were filed.
HANOVER – Pamela M. Ramsden, 37, of Derby was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance last Thursday at 9:43 p.m. Deputies identified Ramsden’s Dodge Caravan traveling northbound on Alleghany Road in Hanover. After determining that Ramsden’s vehicle had an expired registration, deputies stopped the vehicle on Route 5 and 20. Through a brief investigation it was determined that Ramsden was in possession of narcotics. Ramsden was issued an appearance ticket for criminal possession of a controlled substance and traffic tickets for an unregistered motor vehicle, uninspected motor vehicle and unsafe tires. Ramsden will appear at the Town of Hanover Court at a later date.
GERRY – Christina M. Weed, 33, of Gerry, was charged with criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument last Friday at 5:30 p.m. Weed was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in the Town of Gerry Court at a later date.
SHERIDAN – Dylan J. Pieszak, 19, of Dunkirk was charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident and second-degree criminal mischief Friday at 6:30 p.m. Police determined that Pieszak was operating a 2000 Buick and allegedly backed into an unoccupied and parked 2012 Chevrolet with intent to cause damage. Pieszak also left the scene of the incident. Pieszak was issued traffic tickets and sent to Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail.

SALAMANCA – Jordan D. Luzier, 33, of Little Valley was charged for having no tail lights, speeding in a 55 mph zone, failing to keep on the right side of the road, driving while intoxicated common law and aggravated DWI on Sunday at 4:18 a.m. Luzier was released on his tickets and is to appear in the Salamanca Town Court on Nov. 4 at 7 p.m.
ASHFORD – Brent L. Johnson, 25, of Machias was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation Sunday at 1:15 a.m. Johnson was arraigned in the Town of Ashford Court and remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $500,000.
PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE
WARREN, Pa. – James J. Seybert, 74, of Youngsville, Pa., Robert F. Mader, 51, of Smethport, Pa., and Kelsey J. Mader, 18, of Smethport, Pa., were involved in a motor vehicle accident Friday at 4:30 p.m. As both vehicles traveled eastbound on state Route 6, Seybert failed to see Mader stopping for a vehicle that was turning. Seybert’s vehicle struck Mader’s vehicle in the rear, causing it to travel off of the north side of the roadway and strike a utility pole. No injuries were reported and both units were towed from the scene.
WARREN, Pa. – Sven D. Blumquist, 18, of Warren, was involved in a motor vehicle accident Saturday at 9:10 p.m. Blumquist’s vehicle was traveling west on Fifth Avenue when it lost traction and spun in a counter-clockwise direction, crossing the eastbound lane of travel and striking a tree just off the eastern berm. Blumquist was not injured.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
RIPLEY – Miranda N. Natcher, 21, of Ripley was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, unlawful imprisonment, criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation and second-degree harassment Thursday. Deputies were called to an address on State Street for a report of a domestic dispute. Natcher was charged following an investigation. She was arraigned in Town of Westfield Court and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of bail. She is scheduled to answer to the charges in Ripley Town Court at a later date.
CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
SALAMANCA – Joshua J. Hahn, 22, of 8729 W. Bucktooth Run Road, Salamanca, was charged at 10:48 p.m. on Tuesday with driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI with a blood alcohol content greater than .18 percent, unlawful fleeing of a police officer in a motor vehicle, speed in zone, turning without using a signal, failure to stop for a stop sign and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. Sheriff’s deputies attempted to stop Hahn on East Bucktooth Run Road, Salamanca and when he refused to stop, led police on a brief chase. Deputies were able to get him stopped and he was taken into custody. Hahn was taken to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office for processing and is due back in the Town of Salamanca Court at a later date.
RANDOLPH – David E. Roberts, 40, of 3109 Chautauqua Road, Sinclairville, was charged at 9:15 p.m. on Wednesday, on a warrant issued from Cattaraugus County Family Court charging him with violating Article 4 of the Family Court Act. He was arraigned in Randolph Town Court and remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $5,000.

Felicia Buffalo, 23, of 7 Newton Farm Road, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and fourth-degree criminal mischief on Oct. 6 at 12:19 a.m. Buffalo was given an appearance ticket for Salamanca City Court on Oct. 9.
A 17-year-old female was charged with second-degree aggravated harassment on Oct. 16 at 4:35 p.m. She was set to appear in Salamanca City Court.
James E. Brown, 42, of Salamanca was charged with second-degree harassment on Oct. 18 at 12:37 a.m. Police allege that Brown had no legitimate reason to use force against another person. He was held pending arraignment.
A 17-year-old Salamanca male was taken into custody on Oct. 16 at 9:32 a.m. on a bench warrant for failure to appear. He was arraigned and released to return at a later date.
David Knoxsah, 24, of Salamanca was charged with disorderly conduct following a complaint in the city on Oct. 16 at 10:30 p.m. Knoxsah was issued an appearance ticket for Salamanca City Court at a later date.
Shelley R. Atkins, 56, of 149 Broad St., Salamanca, was charged with driving while intoxicated and aggravated DWI blood alcohol content .18 percent or higher Oct. 12 at 1:41 a.m. Atkins was given an appearance ticket for Salamanca City Court.
Milton McNicholas, 73, of 307 Wildwood Ave., Salamanca, was charged with possessing a sexual performance by a child Oct. 9 at 9:46 a.m. The charge stems from a July 2012 incident. McNicholas was arraigned and sent to Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.

Gilman was arraigned and sent to Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
A 17-year-old female was charged with second-degree harassment Oct. 9 at 12:49 p.m. The charge stems from an Oct. 5 incident.
Zachary Richardson, 20, of Kill Buck, was charged with public lewdness Oct. 7 at 12:14 p.m. Richardson was processed and released with an appearance ticket for Salamanca City Court at a later date.

Brian Shosek, 25, of Salamanca was charged with third-degree menacing and second-degree criminal trespassing Oct. 7 at 4 p.m. Shosek was processed and released with an appearance ticket for Salamanca City Court at a later date.
Jeremy Thompson, 26, of Nedrow was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and speeding Oct. 7 at 9:11 p.m. Thompson was processed and released after posting $250 bail.

Alyssa R. Fetterman, 18, of Sinclairville, Nichole M. Peck, 21, of Sinclairville, and Kaylee R. Canella, 19, of Sinclairville were all charged with petit larceny Thursday. Jamestown officers responded to Tops at 2000 Washington St. at 3:15 p.m. for a report of three female shoplifters in custody. According to loss-prevention staff, the three females stole several items of merchandise. They were taken to Jamestown City Jail and charged.

Francesco Iuculano, 75, of Jamestown was charged with public lewdness on Wednesday at 11:52 a.m. Iuculano allegedly committed a lewd act involving an occupant of a vehicle parked in the Chautauqua Mall parking lot.
Chelsea Smith, 18, of Frewsburg was charged with petit larceny on Thursday at 3 p.m. Smith attempted to leave the Lakewood Wal-Mart without paying for merchandise allegedly concealed in her purse. Smith was stopped by Wal-Mart asset protection before leaving the store, police said. She was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in Busti Court at a later date.

VILLENOVA – Valerie Roach, 28, of Silver Creek was charged with driving while intoxicated and failure to maintain lane on Sunday at 5:20 a.m. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies followed up on an investigation from the Sunday personal-injury accident and issued Roach traffic tickets to appear in Villenova Court on Dec. 5. Additional charges are pending the results of a blood test that was secured following the accident. Blood test results typically take several months to be returned. At this time, the investigation is complete.

BROCTON – Tracenna Moncrief, 29, of Mayville was charged with revoked parole/condition releases on Wednesday at 5:07 p.m.
PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE DEPARTMENT
Charles Rounds, 68, of Warren, Pa., was charged with driving a vehicle at a safe speed on Wednesday at 6 p.m. Rounds was traveling eastbound on Route 666 when he allegedly failed to properly negotiate a right-hand curve in the roadway. His 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan struck the guide rail on the south side of the roadway and continued across the roadway, striking the guide rail on the north side. Round’s vehicle continued traveling east before striking the guide rail on the south side a second time before then continuing traveling in an eastern direction striking the guide rail on the north side a second time before coming to a final rest. FREDONIA – Douglas Schwertfager, 56, of Fredonia was charged with no/inadequate lights, driving while intoxicated and DWI with a blood alcohol limit of .08 percent or higher Tuesday at 7:38 p.m. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies observed Schwertfager traveling southbound on Route 60 in Fredonia with no lights on. He was stopped on Route 20 near Route 60. Schwertfager was issued tickets and will answer the charges in Fredonia Court.
CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
CARROLLTON – Anne Tran, 38, of Bradford was charged with petit larceny on Sunday at 8:20 p.m. Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s deputies stopped Tran in Carrollton following a traffic stop, and investigation found she allegedly had an outstanding arrest warrant for petit larceny in Salamanca. The charges stemmed from an alleged theft of a cellphone, an incident that occurred in the Seneca Allegany Casino earlier in September. She was issued an appearance ticket and released to appear in Salamanca Court at a later date.
NEW ALBION – Harry Blauvelt, 66, of Little Valley was charged with second-degree aggravated assault on Oct. 10 at 5:45 p.m. Blauvelt was arrested on a warrant, and he was arraigned in New Albion Court. Blauvelt was released to appear at a later date.
LEON – Ryan Rodriguez, 21, of Irving was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI over .08 percent blood alcohol content, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, failure to keep right and failure to maintain lane on Saturday at 10:35 p.m. He was stopped on Mosher Hollow in Leon for a traffic stop. Rodriguez was processed and released on appearance tickets to appear back in Leon Court at a later date.
LITTLE VALLEY – Michael Doner, 20, of Little Valley was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief on Sunday at 11:45 p.m. There was an alleged domestic incidence at his residence where he allegedly damaged property. Doner was arraigned in New Albion Court and remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail. He is to appear in Little Valley Court at a later date.
CONEWANGO – Michelle Rogers, 33, of Conewango was arrested on a bench warrant issued by Leon Court on Sunday at 5 p.m. She was arraigned in Conewango Court and released. Rogers is due back in Leon Court at a later time.
SOUTHERN TIER REGIONAL DRUG TASK FORCE
SALAMANCA – Maria Jimerson, 43, and Terrence Smith, 49, both of Kill Buck were charged with one count each of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell. Both defendants were allegedly in possession of suspected heroin and crack cocaine when officers visited their home on a search warrant. More charges are pending at the completion of the investigation. They were arraigned in Salamanca Court and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail. Members were assisted by the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Department.

Richard Haskins, 47, of Russell, Pa., was traveling north on Akeley Road when he allegedly traveled off the east side of the roadway, entering a ditch traveling approximately 150 feet prior to impacting a culvert with his 2013 GMC Acadia’s undercarriage on Tuesday at 7:01 p.m. The vehicle continued to travel north approximately 240 feet before crossing the roadway and entering a ditch on the west side of the roadway, traveling approximately 30 feet, continuing to the point of final rest. The incident is under investigation.

Jonathan Monagle, 26, of Lakewood was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and no tail lamps on Monday at 10:09 p.m. An officer observed Monagle with no tail lamps and upon stopping the car, Monagle was allegedly found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana. He will appear in Busti Court at a later date.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
POMFRET – Dana Mislin-Langa, 37, of Kenmore was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .18 percent or higher and DWI on Monday at 1:57 a.m. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies investigated a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of the LoGuidice Center on Fredonia-Stockton Road. Mislin-Langa was allegedly intoxicated, and she will appear in Pomfret Court at a later date to answer the charges.
STOCKTON – John Robinson, 37, of Stockton was charged with third-degree criminal mischief and two counts of second-degree harassment on Monday at 7 p.m. On Saturday Robinson allegedly smashed the windows of a victim’s truck and was harassing another victim. He was issued an appearance ticket and will answer his charges in Stockton Court at a later date.
RIPLEY – Amanda Alford, 27, of Ripley was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or higher, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and moving from lane unsafely on Saturday at 2:51 a.m. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies and the Ripley Fire and Rescue had responded to a motor vehicle accident where the involved vehicle was on fire. Upon arrival, Alford had made it out of the vehicle prior to the fire, police said. Ripley Fire Department put out the fire, and Alford was released with traffic tickets. She is to appear in Ripley Court at a later date to answer the charges.
FALCONER – Mark E. Dunn, 28, of Falconer was charged with fourth-degree welfare fraud and fraudulent receipt of benefits on Oct. 9. Dunn allegedly failed to report income/employment he received from Jan. 1, 2012, through June 30, 2012, to the Chautauqua County Department of Social Services. This allowed for Dunn to receive $1,737.45 in unentitled benefits, police said. He is to appear in Jamestown Court at a later date.

Joseph Boozel, 39, of Corry, Pa. lost control when he was traveling east on Route 957 after swerving to miss two deer on Tuesday at 1:15 p.m., police said. He traveled off the eastbound berm where the front of his 2008 Ford F-650 hit two mailboxes before continuing east down a slight embankment into a field where it hit an utility pole. After the second impact, Boozel’s vehicle continued east through the field and came to a final rest on Dump Road with the front of the vehicle facing south.

FALCONER – Julia Nelson, 47, of Falconer, was charged with following too close, driving while intoxicated, DWI with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or higher, felony DWI and aggravated DWI on Saturday. Ellicott Police responded to a personal injury accident on East Main Street, and allegedly Nelson was intoxicated. She was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Gregory DePietro, 24, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct on Sunday at 2:12 a.m. Police had responded to Woodlawn Avenue for a report that several subjects were fighting in the street, and upon arrival DePietro was assaulting someone, police said. He was taken into custody without incident, and the victim of the assault was transported to WCA Hospital for treatment. Jamestown Police were assisted by the Jamestown Fire Department and Alstar Ambulance.
Andrew Rivera Sr., 53, of Jamestown was charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident, driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated on Saturday at 11:28 p.m. Officers responded to Briggs and Institute streets for a report of a vehicle that struck a street sign and was leaving the scene. According to a witness, the vehicle struck a street sign and a gas line marker and fled the scene sustaining damage, police said. The witness gave officers a license plate number, where they allegedly found the vehicle at a home on Pine Street. After speaking with Rivera, it was determined he was the one operating the vehicle at the time of the incident and taken into custody, police said. Rivera submitted to a breath test resulting in a blood alcohol content three times the legal limit, police said. Rivera was being held pending arraignment.
Carlos Pagan, 47, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree harassment, second-degree unlawful imprisonment, obstructing governmental administration and fourth-degree criminal mischief on Friday at 11:15 p.m. Officers responded to Cross Street for a report of domestic physical violence, and upon arrival, officers learned a female at the residence had been allegedly involved in an argument with her boyfriend, Pagan. Allegedly, Pagan was intoxicated and ended up throwing a glass at the female, which caused it to break. He then allegedly grabbed the female, threw her to the ground, held her against her will and threatened to hit her with an unopened wine bottle. The female was able to push Pagan off of her and ended up freeing herself from his grasp by hitting him in the head with a wine bottle before she ran outside of her residence where a third party called 911, police said. Pagan sustained a head injury along with lacerations to his face and elbow. Medical attention was dispatched to the scene, but Pagan refused treatment. He was charged and subsequently fought with officers as they were escorting him to the patrol car, police said. He was transported to Jamestown City Jail.
Antasia Babcock, 20, of Jamestown was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of a property accident on Saturday at 6:17 a.m. Officers of the third platoon responded to an area at Prospect Street near Barker Street on a report of a vehicle that struck a utility pole on Prospect Street and was attempting to leave the scene. When officers arrived, they were able to locate a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle on Barker Street, and located Babcock by the vehicle, police said. Officers observed damage to Babcock’s vehicle that matched the damage to the utility pole, police said. She was taken through a standardized field sobriety test and failed. Babcock was taken into custody without incident and transported to the city jail for pending arraignment.

Sierra Saxton, 23, of Bemus Point was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, and Shane Bucklin, 19, of Jamestown, was charged with underage possession of alcohol on Sunday at 2:51 a.m. Officers responded to East Fairmount Avenue for a suspicious situation report and found Saxton and Bucklin drinking alcohol in the vehicle, police said. Allegedly a small amount of marijuana was in Saxton’s vehicle. They will appear in Busti Court at a later date to answer charges.

RIPLEY – John Gibbs II, 22, of Northeast, Pa., was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and use of a mobile phone while operating a motor vehicle on Saturday at 9:20 p.m. Deputies allegedly observed Gibbs using a cellular phone while operating his vehicle. Upon stopping the vehicle, several smoking pipes and a quantity of marijuana were found inside the vehicle, police said. He will appear in Ripley Court at a later date.
SHERMAN – Daniel Schlabach, 20, of Rochester Mills, Pa., and Ernest Bender Jr., 20, of Panama, were charged with possession of alcohol under age of 21 with the intent to consume on Saturday at 12:47 a.m. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies stopped a vehicle on Clymer-Sherman Road in Sherman, and allegedly Schlabach and Bender were found to be in the possession of alcohol. They were both issued appearance tickets and released to appear in Sherman Court at a later date.
SHERMAN – Tara VanVolkenburg, 21, of Sherman, was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater, failure to keep right, operating a motor vehicle with a mobile phone and open container of alcohol in a vehicle on Saturday at 12:57 a.m. Sheriff’s patrol responded with Sherman Fire Department to a report of a single-vehicle crash into a utility pole on West Main Street in Sherman. Upon investigation, VanVolkenburg was operating a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix westbound on West Main Street when she was allegedly distracted by cellphone use and crossed over the center of the roadway. VanVolkenburg struck a street sign and a utility pole, damaging both, police said. She was taken in custody and later released, and she will appear in Sherman Court to answer the charges on a later date. There were no injuries as a result of the crash.
GERRY – Joshua Hall, 31, of Jamestown, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance on Saturday at 12:26 a.m. When deputies investigated Hall’s vehicle in a ditch, Hall was allegedly in possession of controlled pills not in a prescribed container. He was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in Gerry Court at a later date.

Carin Knight, 23, of Jamestown was charged with resisting arrest and second-degree obstructing governmental administration Wednesday at 10:59 p.m. Jamestown Police and probation officers went to serve a probation warrant on Knight, and upon arrival Knight was advised he was under arrest for a probation warrant and he became disorderly and fought with officers, police said. Knight allegedly ran out the door and led officers on a short foot pursuit before he was caught. He is in jail awaiting arraignment.
CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
Jonathan White, 36, of Dunkirk was charged with second-degree burglary, fourth-degree grand larceny and second-degree criminal contempt on Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. White was turned over to Dunkirk Police Department for further processing.
Mark Daniels, 50, of South Dayton was charged with second-degree criminal contempt on Wednesday at 9:30 p.m. He was arraigned in South Dayton Court and released to appear in Leon Court at a later date.

Brian Waller, 36, of Dunkirk was charged with third-degree criminal possession of marijuana on Wednesday at 2:48 p.m. He was stopped at a road check on Route 394 in Stow, and troopers allegedly smelled marijuana in the the vehicle. Upon searching the vehicle, troopers located an open beer can and more than 14 ounces of marijuana, police said. He was taken to Jamestown and processed, and then arraigned in North Harmony Court. Waller was sent to Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $3,000 cash bail.

Stephon Edwards, 22, of Buffalo was charged with no or inadequate headlights, consumption of an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle, no seat belt, unlicensed operator, third-degree unlicensed operator, misdemeanor driving while intoxicated and a misdemeanor driving while intoxicated with a .08 percent or higher blood alcohol content on Tuesday at 9:55 p.m. Edwards was observed on East Second Street near East Fourth Street with no headlights on, police said. When stopped, he was allegedly found to be intoxicated. Edwards will be arraigned in the Jamestown City Court.

Dylan Gibbs, 21, of Dunkirk was charged with second-degree burglary and fourth-degree criminal mischief on Tuesday at 8:20 p.m. Gibbs was arrested on an arrest warrant issued out of Gerry from an incident which occurred Sunday at 10 p.m. Gibbs allegedly unlawfully entered and remained in a dwelling. While in the dwelling, he allegedly damaged a window screen. Gibbs was arraigned in Charlotte Court and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of bail.
Sarah Hadley, 17, of Sinclairville was transported to the Brooks Memorial Hospital on Wednesday at 3:15 a.m. Hadley was traveling westbound on Bard Road in Arkwright when she lost control of her vehicle, police said. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a ditch, causing the vehicle to roll over and land on its roof. Hadley was able to safely exit the vehicle on her own free will. She was treated on the scene by Cassadaga Fire Rescue for minor injuries and later transported to Brooks Memorial Hospital for precautionary follow up treatment.

Frederick Palmeri, 55, of Olean was charged with fifth-degree welfare fraud, petit larceny and three counts of first-degree offering a false instrument for filing on Oct. 1 at 12:30 p.m. Palmeri allegedly submitted three vouchers which included false information to the Medical Travel Assistance Program at the Cattaraugus County Department of Social Services, and received $346.08 in Medical Travel in April 2013 to which he was not entitled. He was issued an appearance ticket for Oct. 15 at 9 a.m. in Olean Court.
Tanya Palmeri, 35, of Salamanca was charged with fifth-degree welfare fraud and two counts of first-degree offering a false instrument for filing on Oct. 1 at 12:15 p.m. Palmeri allegedly offered false information about the work schedule of her boyfriend on her application, and the required paperwork she submitted, for the Child Care Assistance Program to the Cattaraugus County Department of Social Services. She was issued an appearance ticket for Oct. 15 at 9 a.m. in Olean Court.

Akers and Sterling were allegedly in a physical altercation during a child exchange while children were present. Both were issued appearance tickets and will be in Ellicott Court at a later time.

RIPLEY – Timothy Conklin, 60, of Ripley was charged with trespassing and second-degree harassment on Monday at 5:30 p.m. Conklin allegedly punched a neighbor in the face and trespassed on another person’s property. He will appear in Ripley Court at a later date.
STOCKTON – Joseph Armeli, 30, of Jamestown, was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or higher, failure to keep right and unsafe turn on Monday at 12:13 a.m. According to police, Armeli was involved in a single-vehicle crash when his car rolled over on James Road in Stockton. Armeli was allegedly intoxicated. No injuries were sustained by any occupants in his vehicle. Armeli was issued traffic tickets and is to appear in Stockton Court at a later date.
POMFRET – John Peterson, 29, of Brocton, was charged with parking on the highway, driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol limit of .08 percent or higher on Monday at 7:55 p.m. Peterson was stopped on the north shoulder of Route 20 in Pomfret with his four way flashers on, police said. He was allegedly intoxicated, and he was taken into custody. He will appear in Pomfret Court at a later date to answer his charges.
POMFRET – Pedro Corraliza, 47, of Westfield, was charged with failure to keep right, moving from lane unsafely, driving across hazard markings, improper/no signal and driving while intoxicated on Friday at 8:16 p.m. Corraliza was allegedly observed making several lane violations driving westbound on Route 20 in Pomfret. When pulled over, he was intoxicated, police said. Corraliza will appear in Pomfret Court at a later date to answer his charges.

Brandon Lucariello, 20, of Jamestown was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, failure to signal turn, inadequate brake lights and driving across hazard markings on Sunday at 11:07 p.m. Lakewood-Busti police allegedly observed a vehicle committing multiple traffic offenses and pulled the vehicle over. Lucariello was allegedly found to be in possession of multiple baggies of marijuana. He was given an appearance ticket to be in Busti Town Court later.

Robbin Wells, 39, of Ashville was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or higher and insufficient tail lamps on Saturday at midnight. Ellicott officers stopped Wells for a tail lamp out and allegedly Wells was intoxicated. He was remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail on $1,000/$2,000 bail and is due to appear in Ellicott Court at a later date to answer to the charges.

Scott Haskins, 39, of Perrysburg was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI with a blood alcohol content over .08 percent and open container of alcohol on Saturday at 10:30 p.m. Officers attempted to stop vehicle on Indian Hill in Perrysburg, and allegedly during that time the original driver of the vehicle fled as patrol was initiating the stop, and Haskins continued to drive the vehicle from the passenger side before stalling the vehicle just off the roadway into the woods. He was processed and released on tickets and is due back in Perrysburg Court at a later date. Charges are pending on the other driver.
Timothy Genberg, 52, of New Albion was charged with third-degree assault on Thursday at 5:20 p.m. Allegedly Genberg punched another male in the face after a verbal altercation in his driveway. He was processed and released to appear in New Albion Court at a later date.
Scott Hope, 55, of Friendship was charged with felony driving while intoxicated and felony aggravated driving while intoxicated on Friday at 1:50 a.m. Deputies were called to Kwik Fill on Washington Street in Ellicottville for an unconscious male in a vehicle, and upon further investigation Hope was allegedly intoxicated. Hope was arraigned in Ellicottville Court and remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of bail. He is due back in Ellicottville Court at a later date to answer for the charges.

Amy Darling of Lakewood was charged with second-degree menacing, criminal obstruction of breathing and second-degree harassment on Friday at 10:25 p.m. during an alleged domestic incident at her home. Darling was issued appearance tickets and will answer to the charges at a later time.

FRENCH CREEK – Dayne Heimburg, 42, of Findley Lake was charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident, failure to keep right and operating with a handheld electronic device on Friday at 11:45 p.m. The sheriff’s patrol responded to a report of a hit and run accident which occurred on French Creek-Mina Road in front of the French Creek Tavern, police said. Allegedly, a vehicle driven by Heimburg failed to keep right and side swiped another vehicle which was arriving at the tavern. Heimburg allegedly fled the scene and did not report the accident. Officers were able to identify Heimburg, and he was contacted by the deputies and charged accordingly. He will be answering the charges in the French Creek Court at a later date.
LAKEWOOD – On Saturday at 3:52 p.m. there was a house fire reported in Lakewood. Lakewood Fire Department responded and was assisted by the Celoron Fire Department. The fire was put out quickly and the Fire Investigation Team determined an electrical problem at an electrical junction box in the ceiling of the kitchen was the cause. No one was at the residence at the time the fire occurred, and there were no injuries reported. The fire has been ruled an accident.
SILVER CREEK – Two male youths, both age 17, of Silver Creek were allegedly caught on Saturday at 5:31 at a scene of a burglary in Silver Creek. They were taken into custody, and one youth was charged with second-degree burglary, petit larceny and unlawful possession of marijuana and the other was charged with fourth-degree criminal facilitation. Both are scheduled to appear in Silver Creek Court on a later date to be arraigned on the listed charges.
BROCTON – Jeffrey Hinderschied, 31, of Aurora, Ohio, was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated with a .08 percent or higher blood alcohol content and failure to signal turn on Saturday at 9:45 p.m. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies allegedly observed Hinderschied failing to signal a turn while traveling from Main Street to Old Mill Road. According to police, Hinderschied was intoxicated. He will appear back in Brocton Court at a later date.
Christian Gerholdt, 21, of Pomfret, was charged with resisting arrest on Friday at 9:25 p.m. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies along with Sheriff K-9 served a felony warrant on Gerholdt, and upon deputies locating and speaking with him, Gerholdt allegedly attempted to resist deputies as he was taken into custody, police said. Gerholdt was taken to Chautauqua County Jail for the felony warrant, and will appear in court at a later date and time.

Wayne Snyder Sr., 51, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest while Wayne Snyder Jr., 23, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree obstructing governmental administration, second-degree unlawful imprisonment and aggravated family offense Saturday. Jamestown Police officers responded to a reported domestic violence in progress at 225 Winsor St. at 2:08 a.m. Upon arrival, officers heard a female screaming in the residence. Several attempts were made to contact the occupants in order to check their well-being and eventually officers made entry into the residence. Snyder Jr. then became extremely disorderly and threatened to arm himself with a gun. Snyder Sr. was taken into custody after a brief struggle. A female victim was observed inside the residence with Snyder Jr. and could be heard pleading with him to allow her to leave. After several minutes, Snyder Jr. allowed the victim to leave, and he then surrendered. Both Snyders were taken to city jail. Assistance was provided at the scene by the Lakewood-Busti Police Department, Ellicott Police Department and New York State Police.
Renne L. Wolfe, 37, of Celoron was charged with speeding, driving while intoxicated and DWI per se Friday. Officers observed a four-door sedan traveling west a high rate of speed at 9:47 p.m. on East Sixth Street. Officers followed the vehicle for a short distance and then made a traffic stop. Wolfe was found to be operating in an intoxicated condition and transported to city jail for a chemical test. A driver’s license check revealed a previous DWI conviction within 10 years making the charge a felony. She was held pending arraignment.
Thomas J. Warren, 35, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt Saturday. Officers conducted a traffic stop at 1:50 p.m. and during the investigation it was determined Warren had a valid order of protection to stay away from a female victim found in the same vehicle. He was taken to city jail without incident and was being held pending arraignment.

LAKEWOOD – Timothy A. Cook and Bruce A. Cook Jr. were charged with petit larceny Sept. 23 at 3:40 a.m. Lakewood-Busti Police investigated a shoplifting complaint at 350 E. Fairmount Ave. where the Cooks were accused of taking $151.23 worth of merchandise. They were issued appearance tickets for Town of Busti Court at a later date.

FRENCH CREEK – Kenneth D. Walters, 55, of Ripley was charged with driving while ability impaired by alcohol/drugs, speeding and unlawful possession of marijuana Saturday. Sheriff’s patrol stopped a motorist for speeding at 1:24 a.m. on Route 426. The operator was identified as Walters. Following an investigation, Walters was determined to be impaired by alcohol and drugs. He was also found to be in possession of marijuana. Walters was taken into custody and released with appearance tickets for Town of French Creek Court at a later date.

A 17-year-old female was charged with second-degree harassment, acting in a manner to injure a child and obstructing governmental administration Tuesday at 4:47 p.m. She was arraigned and will appear in Salamanca City Court at a later date.
Jasmine J. Ashley, 26, of 185 Burgard Place, Buffalo, was taken into custody on a bench warrant Wednesday at 1:20 a.m. She was being held pending arraignment.

CHAUTAUQUA – Chance W. Blanchard, 26, of Card Road, Mayville, was charged at 4:36 p.m. on Thursday with endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree harassment. Sheriff’s deputies responded to an incident on Card Road in the town of Chautauqua and upon arrival, witnesses stated that Blanchard threw a female into a wall and also pushed a 12-year-old youth. Blanchard was taken into custody and arraigned in the Town of Chautauqua Court. He will appear back in the Town of Chautauqua Court at a later date to answer the charges.
HANOVER – Cody J. Cook, 20, and Ryan C. Cook, 17, both of Jackson Street, Hanover, were charged at 9:10 a.m. on Thursday with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search warrant of a residence pertaining to an investigation of stolen property. Both Cooks were found to be in possession of items that were recently reported stolen in vehicle larcenies in the town of Hanover area. Both were charged. Ryan Cook turned himself in to sheriff’s deputies and was arraigned in the Town of Hanover Court. Cody Cook is currently incarcerated in the Chautauqua County Jail on an unrelated charge. His warrant was sent to the jail as a detainer. Further charges are pending investigation.

Leigh E. Hunter, 29, of Price Avenue, W.E., Jamestown, was charged at 12:06 a.m. on Friday with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se and speeding. Jamestown Police Department officers observed a sedan traveling westbound across the Third Street Bridge at a high rate of speed. Officers effected a traffic stop near the intersection of West Third Street and Catlin Avenue on a gray 2012 Subaru. Further investigation revealed that the driver, Hunter, was intoxicated. She was transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where she submitted to a chemical breath test showing her blood alcohol concentration to be .14 percent and was charged.
Cody M. Murphy, 23, of Jamestown was charged at 10:18 a.m. on Friday with endangering the welfare of a child. Jamestown Police officers responded to 43 Barrows St. regarding a small child that was found. The child was naked and had no adult supervision. After checking several addresses in the area, officers eventually found the parents sleeping inside their residence. Murphy was found at the scene and he was transported to the Jamestown City Jail without further incident.

He was allegedly drunk and will be arraigned in the Jamestown City Court.

Kyle Salva, 34, of Youngsville, Pa. was charged with careless driving on Tuesday at 11:20 p.m. Kyle was traveling south on Cole Hill Road when he traveled off the east side of the roadway entering a ditch and impacting an embankment with the right front corner, police said. He traveled along the ditch in a southern direction for approximately 50 feet, coming to rest on its side face south, and suspected drug paraphernalia was seized from the car. Investigation is currently ongoing.

James Trotter, 21, of Jamestown was charged with failure to keep right, misdemeanor driving while intoxicated and a misdemeanor aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .18 or higher on Tuesday at 1:55 a.m. Trotter was allegedly observed failing to keep right on North Main Street, and when he was pulled over, he was allegedly found to be intoxicated. One of the other passengers, Colleen Heffner, 23, of Jamestown had a valid warrant and was also arrested. Both were transported to the Jamestown Police Department City Jail and will be arraigned in the Jamestown City Jail.
Curtis Nance Jr., 48, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, unlawful possession of marijuana and tampering with physical evidence on Tuesday at 4:09 p.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop on Nance’s vehicle, which had an equipment violation, on East Second Street. Nance allegedly attempted to conceal a small amount of marijuana in the vehicle. He is being held pending arraignment.

Vanessa Stevens, 23, of Fredonia was charged with petit larceny on Tuesday. Stevens was arrested on a warrant for an incident on Sept. 21 where she allegedly stole merchandise from a store. She is due in Busti Court on Oct.8 for arraignment.
Christina Weed of Falconer was charged with two counts of petit larceny. She allegedly stole retail from Wal-Mart on June 30 and July 4. She is due in Busti Court on Oct. 8 to answer the charges.
Nicholas J. Dean, 23, of Jamestown was charged with three counts of petit larceny on Tuesday. On Sept. 13, 14 and 17, Dean allegedly stole merchandise from Wal-Mart. He is due in the Town of Busti Court on Oct. 8 for arraignment.

Cody Cook, 20, of Irving was charged with third-degree criminal trespass, petit larceny and unlawful possession of marijuana on Tuesday at 5 a.m. Cook was allegedly attempting to steal property from a fenced-in area. He was taken into custody and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail on bail.
Ernest Skinner, 58, of Jamestown was charged with the misuse of SNAP/Food Stamps and second-degree offering a false instrument for filing on Monday. From Aug. 1, 2011 through May 31, 2012, Skinner allegedly failed to report income/employment to the Chautauqua County Department of Social Services. This allowed for the receipt of $1,920 in unentitled benefits. He is to scheduled to appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date.

Rosa was found to be intoxicated with a passenger in his vehicle under the age of 15 years old, police said. He was also found to have a suspended driver’s license for a previous alcohol-related offense, arraigned in Ellicott Town Court and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail.

Leroy Tubbs Jr., 48, of Jamestown, was charged at 10:20 p.m. on Thursday with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and unlawful imprisonment. Officers of the Second Platoon responded to Colfax Street for a domestic violence incident. Upon investigation it was determined that Leroy Tubbs had a physical altercation with a female victim, police said. During the altercation, Tubbs allegedly restrained the victim. This occurred in front of two children, police said. The defendant was charged, transported to the Jamestown City Jail and held pending arraignment.
Johnnie L. Cartledge, 27, of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, was charged at 12:35 a.m. on Saturday with disorderly conduct, running a red light, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle and two misdemeanors counts of driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content over .18 percent. Officers from the Third Platoon and DWI Unit observed Cartledge passing the red traffic signal on Newland Avenue and South Main Street, police said. When stopped, he was found to be intoxicated and he allegedly relieved himself in front of the officer while standing on a public street. Cartledge will be arraigned in the Jamestown City Court.
Malcolm Shevlin, 25, of Jamestown was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief on Saturday at 3:05 a.m. When Jamestown Police Department, Third Platoon responded to Hall Avenue for a domestic dispute, further investigation revealed Shevlin broke a cellphone belonging to the victim during the dispute, police said. Shevlin was taken into custody without incident and transported to Jamestown City Jail where he was awaiting arraignment.
Raymond Finch III, 44, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree assault on Monday at 12:31 a.m. The Third Platoon of the Jamestown Police Department responded to Hazzard Street for an assault in progress. Allegedly Finch punched the victim several times in the head and face with a closed fist. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to Jamestown City Jail where he was awaiting arraignment by Jamestown City Court.
Matthew Buck, 22, of Jamestown was charged with petit larceny and second-degree obstructing governmental administration on Sunday at 11:01 p.m. The Third Platoon of the Jamestown Police Department responded to a report of a larceny. Further investigation revealed Buck stole merchandise and then fled the store on foot, police said. When officers located Buck and took him into custody, Buck attempted to flee officers on foot when he was being escorted to a patrol vehicle before an officer restrained him, police said. Buck was transported to Jamestown City Jail and was awaiting arraignment by Jamestown City Court.

Aaron M. Thompson, 29, of Jamestown, was charged at 2 p.m. on Friday with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle in the town of Busti. Thompson allegedly took a motorcycle without the owner’s permission and was involved in an accident while on the motorcycle. He is due back in the town of Busti Court at a later date.

Brian Taber, 40, of South Dayton was charged with endangering the welfare of a child on Friday at 4 p.m. Ellicott Police responded to a report of a possible assault, and upon further investigation it was discovered Taber allegedly attempted to grab the victim by the throat, causing them to fall back and scrape their elbow. He was issue an appearance ticket and will appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.
Nekyle Taylor, 20, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree criminal mischief on Saturday at 2:30 a.m. Allegedly Taylor was engaged in an argument and then proceeded to punch and kick the door and window, causing them to break. He was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.
Randall Chapman, 25, of Falconer was charged with petit larceny on Saturday. Allegedly Chapman had taken two Xbox 360 games and a wireless Xbox 360 controller. He was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.
Jessica Hamby, 26, of Jamestown was charged with petit larceny on Tuesday at 2:27 p.m. Ellicott Police responded to a report of a female shoplifter at Kmart, and upon arrival, loss prevention staff had detained Hamby, who was found to be in possession of $194.84 worth of miscellaneous merchandise recovered at the scene, said police. She was issued an appearance ticket and was scheduled to be in Ellicott Court at a later date.

Michael Edmunds, 42, of Forestville was charged with overdriving, torturing or injuring animals on Tuesday at 7:05 p.m. after an investigation revealed he had injured a domestic pet on June 9, police said. Edmunds allegedly used an air pellet gun, shooting the victim’s cat and causing its death. Edmunds was issued an appearance ticket and is to appear in Hanover Court at a later date.
Clifford Latta, 39, of Mayville was charged with second-degree harassment on Sunday at 1:50 a.m. Latta allegedly struck a subject in the face following an argument. He was issued an appearance ticket to appear in the town of Chautauqua Court at a later date.
Schaeffer Eimers, 19, and Markus Meredith, 19, both of Ripley, were charged with the unlawful possession of marijuana on Saturday at 10 p.m. After Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies observed an occupied vehicle parked on Ripley Central School property, they contacted the vehicle and observed drug paraphernalia in plain view, police said. After interview and investigation, Meredith and Eimers were allegedly found to be in possession of quantities of marijuana and multiple smoking pipes. Both will appear in Ripley Court at a later date.
Jason Leamer, 25, of Ripley was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated per se with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or higher and failure to signal a turn on Sunday at 2 a.m. Leamer allegedly failed to signal a turn from Burton Avenue to Goodrich Street in Ripley, and when officers stopped the vehicle, he was found to be intoxicated, police said. Leamer will appear in Ripley Court at a later date.
Blaine Wescott, 19, of Ashville, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt and second-degree harassment on Wednesday at 7 p.m. Wescott allegedly harassed a neighborhood youth when he yelled at the youth from a window at his residence. Investigations revealed there was a valid order of protection between Wescott and the victim, and Wescott was taken into custody and arraigned in the North Harmony Court on the charges, police said.
Tanya Lack, 33, of Silver Creek was charged with a felony driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content over .08 percent, driving while intoxicated and failure to stop at a stop sign on Sunday at 2:12 a.m. Police said they observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign on Iola Drive in Sunset Bay, and stopped Lack on Route 5 and 20. A passenger in the vehicle was found to be under the age of 15-years-old, making it a felony offense due to Leandra’s Law. She was released with traffic tickets and is to appear in Hanover Court later this week for arraignment on the charges.
Ryan Taggart, 33, of Silver Creek was charged with felony driving while intoxicated, first-degree felony aggravated unlicensed operation, driving while intoxicated with a .08 percent blood alcohol content or higher, failure to stop at a stop sign and passing a stop line on Saturday at 11:58 p.m. Allegedly Taggart failed to stop at a stop sign on Alleghany Road in Hanover and passing the white stop line while approaching a red light on Route 5 and 20. He was stopped, and was found to be intoxicated, and with Taggart’s previous driving record, it was determined this arrest was a felony, police said. He was released with traffic tickets and will be arraigned in Hanover Court at a later date.
Kyle Cook, 26, of Gowanda was charged with a felony driving while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle with a .08 percent or higher blood alcohol content and operating a motor vehicle without headlights on Sunday at 11:35 p.m. After Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputies observed Cook traveling east on Central Avenue with no headlights on, they stopped the car, and after further investigation, Cook was found to be intoxicated, police said. He was released to a sober party and will be in court later.
Thomas Schrader, 28, of Brocton was charged with speeding and unlawful possession of marijuana on Sunday at 11:12 a.m. Deputies stopped Schrader on Lake Avenue in Portland for allegedly speeding, and after a brief investigation, he was allegedly found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana. Schrader was issued a traffic and appearance ticket, and will answer to the charges in Portland Court.
Tracy Abbey, 50, of Ashville, was charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal to take a breathalyzer test, driving on the shoulder and inadequate turn lights on Sunday at 5:40 a.m. Allegedly, Abbey failed to maintain her lane and signal a turn on Route 394, and when police stopped the vehicle, she was allegedly intoxicated. Abbey was arraigned in Harmony Court and released to appear back at a later date.
Jennifer Vinciguerra, 21, of Fredonia was charged with failure to maintain lane, driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or higher on Sunday at 2:17 a.m. Police said they observed Vinciguerra traveling north on Route 60 and cross the centerline of the roadway, and when stopped, she was found to be intoxicated. She was placed in custody and released to a family member. Vinciguerra was issued tickets to appear in Dunkirk Court.
CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
Christopher Marek, 20, of Otto was charged with second-degree promoting prison contraband on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Marek was arrested at his residence on a warrant issued from the Little Valley Court after an earlier incident where he attempted to bring contraband into the Cattaraugus County Jail, police said. He was arraigned in Little Valley Court and will appear back at a later date.
Ryan Droney, 27, of Salamanca was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content over .18 percent and unsafe backing on Wednesday at 11:15 p.m. after a patrol car responded to Windfall Road in Carrollton for a vehicle in the ditch. He was processed and released on tickets, and is due back in Carrollton Court at a later date.
Pamala Eastman, 56, of Hinsdale was cited for making an unsafe turn on Thursday at 4:15 p.m. Deputies responded to a three-car motor vehicle accident which occurred at the intersection of Route 16 and Country Route 26. A 2007 Pontiac sedan owned and operated by Lavonne Matteson, 59, of Belfast, struck a 2007 Toyota van owned and operated by Eastman when Eastman attempted to turn onto Route 26 from the sound bound inside lane of Route 16, police said. After the initial collision of the first two vehicles, the Eastman vehicle then struck a third vehicle, a 2010 Mercury Suburban owned and operated by Lucinda Pierce, 52, of Angelica, police said. Hinsdale Volunteer Fire and Ambulance responded to the scene, with Wesson Mills Kinney Hose Company Ambulance responding as well. Matteson, Eastman and a 10-year-old female passenger in Eastman’s vehicle were all transported to Olean General Hospital Emergency Room where they were treated for minor injuries, and all were expected to be released. Eastman will appear in the Hinsdale Court on Wednesday, Oct. 16, at 6 p.m.
Stephanie Gassman, 23, of Randolph, was charged with second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal mischief on Sunday at 12:25 a.m. Deputies responded to Hall Street for a report of a domestic incident. Gassman was remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of bail, and due back in Randolph Court at a later date.
