CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
ALLEGANY – James C. Covert Jr., 22, of 1220 N. Union St., Olean, was charged at 1:48 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24 with angle parking on a two-way road, open alcohol container in a motor vehicle, felony driving while intoxicated and felony DWI blood alcohol content over .08 percent. Patrol located Covert in an illegally parked vehicle. He failed several field sobriety tests and also had open containers of beer in his vehicle. Covert was issued appearance tickets and released to a third party.
ALLEGANY – Jenna R. Holly, 28, of 185 S. Main St., Portville, was charged with petit larceny and sixth-degree conspiracy at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17. While Holly was employed as a cashier at Home Depot, she worked with two other persons and two occasions she allowed them to leave the store without paying for items. She is due back in Allegany Town Court at a later date. Charges are pending for the other persons involved.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
MAYVILLE – Tyler P. Conway, 17, of 50 Elm St., Mayville, was charged at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, with third-degree grand larceny and fourth-degree criminal mischief. After an investigation conducted by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, it was found that Conway broke into a safe at a relative’s residence and stole approximately $3,500. He was charged, arraigned in the Town of Chautauqua Court and released on his own recognizance to his father.
MINA – David J. Keene, 54, of 2009 Del Oak Drive, Mesquite, Dallas, Texas, was charged in the town of Mina at 9:17 p.m. on Wednesday with driving while intoxicated, failure to keep right, parking on the highway and no headlights. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department found Keene’s vehicle parked in the middle of the road across the center line on Route 430 in the town of Mina. After investigation, Keene was taken into custody and charged. He was also wanted out of Dallas County, Texas, for DWI. Dallas County was contacted by the Sheriff’s Department dispatch. Dallas County advised that they would extradite. Keene was arraigned also as a fugitive from justice and sent to the Chautauqua County Jail on bail. He will remain in custody until extradition to Texas.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Andrew A. Clark, 51, of East Second Street, Jamestown, was charged at 1:50 a.m. on Friday with fourth-degree criminal mischief, second-degree unlawful imprisonment, third-degree assault and criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation. Jamestown police responded to the East Second Street address for a report of a domestic dispute in progress. Further investigation revealed that Clark attempted to break the victim’s phone which they were trying to call for police assistance. Clark then punched the victim in the face causing injury to the face, placed both hands around the victim’s neck making it difficult to breath and then did not allow the victim to leave the residence. Clark was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail and was charged. He is awaiting arraignment by Jamestown City Court.
NEW YORK STATE POLICE
CHARLOTTE – Alicia M. Hawkins, of Falconer was charged on Thursday with driving while intoxicated. Troopers stationed at State Police Jamestown stated that a vehicle was pulled over on Route 62 in the town of Charlotte for speeding 72 in a 55 mph zone. The driver, Hawkins, was found to be intoxicated after she failed roadside tests. After a breath test, her blood alcohol content was found to be .14 percent. Hawkins was released to a sober third party and will appear in the Town of Charlotte Court on a later date.
TOWN OF ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT
CELORON – Renne L. Wolfe, 36, of 152 Boulevard Ave., Celoron was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Ellicott Police responded to Celoron Park to check on the welfare of two children there. It was learned that Wolfe left her two children, ages 11 and 5, at the park while she left the area. Ellicott Police were able to locate her and had her return to the park. Wolfe was issued an appearance ticket to be in Ellicott Court at a later date.
Zechariah D.E. Stringer, 19, of 31 Houston Ave, Jamestown, was charged Friday with underage possession of alcohol, second-degree obstructing governmental administration and fourth-degree criminal mischief. While on patrol, Ellicott Police observed Stringer walking up Fairmount Avenue with a bottle of liquor. When officers confronted him, he ran from them. They were able to detain him and found he was intoxicated. While in custody, Stringer began slamming his head repeatedly into an Ellicott police car causing damage. Stringer was issued an appearance ticket and is to appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.
Christina M. Weed, 33, of 235 E. Elmwood Ave., Falconer, was charged on Monday, Aug. 19 with sixth-degree conspiracy. Ellicott Police took a report of larceny at Kmart on Fairmount Avenue. Investigation led to a warrant being issued for Weed, which was served on Aug. 29. Ms. Weed was brought before an Ellicott judge to answer the charge. She was released and is to be in Ellicott Court at a later date.

Sean D. Klein, 25, of Panama was charged at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday with second-degree aggravated harassment and second-degree criminal contempt. Police said Klein made threatening phone calls to a victim who had a court order for him to stay away. A warrant was issued for Klein, who was taken into custody.

MAYVILLE – Edward A. Wood, 43, of Westfield was charged at 1:20 a.m. on Thursday with driving while ability impaired by drugs, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument, speeding and failure to dim high beams. Deputies stopped a vehicle on North Erie Street for speeding and failure to dim high beams. Wood was identified as the driver, and deputies observed what appeared to be narcotic packaging material visible in Wood’s wallet. A quantity of a controlled substance was discovered, police said. Following an investigation, deputies found two hypodermic syringes and other drug paraphernalia under the driver’s seat. He was taken into custody and later released to appear in Chautauqua Court at a later date.
SILVER CREEK – An 18-year-old male was charged at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday with second-degree sexual abuse and sexual misconduct. Deputies took the male into custody on a warrant issued by Pomfret Court. The warrant was issued because the male allegedly committed sexual abuse and misconduct crimes. He was arraigned in Pomfret Court and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail. in lieu of $5,000 cash bail, $10,000 property bond.
FRENCH CREEK – Christopher M. John, 32, of Dunn Avenue, Jamestown, was charged at 5:11 p.m. on Wednesday with driving while intoxicated, driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, failure to maintain lanes and failure to keep right. Deputies were told that a black vehicle struck a pole and left the scene in French Creek. The vehicle was located and interviewed the driver. John was taken into custody and later released to a sober individual. He will answer the charges at a later date.
POMFRET – Henry J. Fedrick, 23, of First Street, Portland, was charged at 2:57 p.m. on Wednesday with improper passing. Deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident with injuries on Route 5. It was learned that Fedrick allegedly attempted to pass two vehicles traveling westbound. Another driver at the time was attempting to turn into a driveway. As the driver made the turn, Fedrick’s vehicle struck them, causing them to end up in the ditch. The driver of the other vehicle was transported to Brooks Memorial Hospital for injuries. Fedrick was scheduled to be in court at a later date.
CHARLOTTE – Nicholas R. Puffer, 24, of Nevins Street, Dunkirk, was charged at 12:20 p.m. on Thursday with speed in excesses of 55 mph, reckless operation and operating out of class. Deputies observed a motorcycle traveling northbound on Route 60 at 101 mph in a 55 mph zone. The bike was stopped and the ride was identified as Puffer. A records check showed he did not have a motorcycle license. He was issued tickets to be in Charlotte Court at a later date.

COLD SPRING – Cody E. Riechenbach, 19, of Randolph, was charged on Wednesday with driving while intoxicated. Troopers at Jamestown stopped a vehicle on West Perimeter Road for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Riechenbach was found to be intoxicated, police said. He was processed and released on appearance tickets for Cold Spring Court at a later date.

ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT
Kymberli A. Bogardus, 21, of Cedar Avenue, Jamestown, was charged on Aug. 22 with petit larceny and sixth-degree conspiracy. Whitney E. Harrington, 20, of Flagg Avenue, Jamestown, was charged with petit larceny, sixth-degree conspiracy, second-degree criminal impersonation, third-degree escape and resisting arrest. Loss prevention at Kmart on Fairmount Avenue contacted Ellicott police regarding two female shoplifters in custody. It was alleged that the suspects attempted to leave the store with $150 in children’s clothing and feminine hygiene products. While officers were placing Harrington into a patrol car, Bogardus allegedly took off running through the parking lot and was taken into custody a short time later. Bogardus was found to have given police a false name. Both were arraigned in Ellicott Court and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Melissa A. Wilcox, 28, was charged at 2:04 a.m. on Wednesday with felony driving while intoxicated, felony DWI per se, failure to keep right and failure to maintain lane. Officers observed a vehicle drive into the opposite lane of traffic multiple times and pulled the vehicle over. The vehicle allegedly drove onto the curb and back onto the roadway before coming to a stop. A strong odor of intoxicants could be smelled coming from the vehicle, police said. Wilcox was put through several sobriety tests, which she allegedly failed. She was taken into custody and a DMV check revealed two previous DWI convictions within the last 10 years, upgrading the charges to a felony. Wilcox was held pending arraignment.
Lacey L. Glover, 28, was charged at 2:25 a.m. on Wednesday with passing a red light, driving while intoxicated and driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater. A vehicle was observed on South Main Street at Harrison Street passing a red traffic light. Glover was stopped and found to be intoxicated, police said. She was held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
Michael Woodard, 23, was charged at 10:10 p.m. on Tuesday with second-degree criminal contempt. Officers responded to Spring Street for a reported violation of an order of protection. An investigation found that Woodard allegedly tried to communicate with the victim, police said. He was taken into custody and held in Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment.
Eric M. Lundsten, 29, was charged at 6:49 p.m. on Tuesday with second-degree unlawful imprisonment. Officers responded to McDonald’s on East Second Street for a report of a domestic incident. Police spoke to a female victim who said she was restrained in the bathroom by Lundsten, who was found a short distance away. He was transported to Jamestown City Jail and was being held pending arraignment.
Philip C. Baxter, 22, was charged at 11:50 a.m. on Wednesday with second-degree criminal contempt. Officers observed Baxter inside a restaurant with a female in which an order of protection had been issued by Jamestown City Court. The defendant was ordered to stay away from the victim pending a previous domestic incident. Baxter was taken into custody and was awaiting arraignment.

Santiago Meneses, 51, of Winsor Street, Jamestown, was charged on Aug. 17 with second-degree criminal contempt and second-degree harassment following a domestic dispute. Police say Meneses violated an order of protection during the incident and harassed a female at the residence. A warrant was executed Wednesday.
Stephen M. Swegles, 38, of Delaware Avenue, Jamestown, was charged on Wednesday with second-degree criminal trespassing and second-degree harassment. A warrant was issued following an incident where police allege Swegles trespassed and harassed the owner of the residence during an altercation.

SILVER CREEK – Jennifer Lynn Wickham, 39, of Columbus Avenue, Dunkirk, was charged at 1:25 a.m. on Sunday with speeding in zone, crossing official markings, driving while intoxicated and driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater. Deputies stopped a vehicle on Main Street in Silver Creek for traffic violations. Wickham was identified as the driver and found to be intoxicated, police said. She was taken into custody and later released with traffic tickets to appear in Silver Creek Court at a later date.

Courtney S. Hardin, 23, of Guyton Avenue, Jamestown, was charged at 2:24 a.m. on Sunday with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated and speeding in zone. Officers were dispatched to be on the lookout for a vehicle that struck mailboxes in Ellicott and left the scene. Police located the vehicle at a high rate of speed on Fairmount Avenue with extensive front-end damage. Hardin was identified as the driver and later found to be intoxicated, police said. She was taken into custody and found to have a blood alcohol content of .22 percent, police said. Hardin will be in Busti Court at a later date.
Troy E. Swanson, 37, of Route 474, Ashville, was charged at 10:36 p.m. on Saturday with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated, open container inside motor vehicle, failure to keep right and failure to maintain lane. Officers were on patrol on Baker Street and allegedly observed a vehicle cross the center line and hazard markings multiple times. Swanson was identified as the driver and was found to be intoxicated, police said. He was scheduled to appear in Busti Court at a later date.

Michael J. Patterson, 37, was charged at 1:55 a.m. on Sunday with second-degree harassment and resisting arrest. Officers responded to North Main Street for a report of a domestic dispute in progress. Patterson was found to have allegedly shoved the victim against the side of the residence. Officers advised Patterson he was under arrest, at which time he allegedly became combative. He was taken into custody and transported to Jamestown City Jail where he was awaiting arraignment.
Jonathan S. Axford, 38, was charged at 1 a.m. on Saturday with second-degree obstructing governmental administrative and unlawful possession of marijuana. Officers were dispatched to Forest Avenue for a report of a domestic dispute. Officers arrived on scene to find a female standing on the sidewalk and a male allegedly running up Forest Park to hide between two houses. Officers gave loud verbal commands for the male to come out, but he allegedly refused. A K-9 unit was used to apprehend the suspect, who was taken into custody without incident. While in jail, Axford was allegedly found to be in possession of marijuana. He was awaiting arraignment.
Cheyenne M. Hodges, 21, of Celoron, was charged at 12:33 p.m. on Saturday with petit larceny. Officers were dispatched to Washington Street for a reported shoplifting complaint. Police learned Hodges allegedly took $25.75 worth of merchandise without paying. She was taken into custody and was awaiting arraignment in Jamestown City Jail.
William J. Roehm, 37, of Monroeville, Pa., was charged at 3:07 a.m. on Saturday with driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated per se. Officers were dispatched for a report of a male subject who passed out behind the wheel at the intersection of East Fourth and Church streets. Police said Roehm was intoxicated when he had fallen asleep. He was taken into custody and was awaiting arraignment in Jamestown City Jail.
Jose Miguel Bula, 46, was charged at 7:54 a.m. on Saturday with third-degree burglary, criminal possession of stolen property and petit larceny. Officers were sent to Spring Street for a report of a suspicious situation. Someone from the neighborhood called police and stated that a subject was inside a vacant house. Officers on scene checked the residence with no results. A description of the subject and his vehicle was given to police. The suspect, identified as Bula, was found at Weistman’s Recycling. Police said Bula was attempting to sell stolen property. He was taken into custody and was awaiting arraignment in Jamestown City Jail.

FINDLEY LAKE – Matthew R. Yelkovich, 26, of Erie, Pa., was charged at 12:37 a.m. on Sunday with unlawful possession of marijuana following a stop on Route 430. Yelkovich was observed passing a stop sign and swerving from his lane unsafely. Following a traffic stop, troopers could detect the odor of marijuana and located a smoking pipe and a baggie containing marijuana, police said. Yelkovich was issued appearance tickets for Mina Court.
SHERMAN – Christopher S. Briggs, 45, of Sherman, was charged on Sunday with driving while intoxicated after being stopped on East Main Street. Troopers observed the trailer he was pulling did not have working tail lights. Upon stopping him, troopers found Briggs to be intoxicated after failing sobriety tests, police said. He was processed at police barracks where he supplied a BAC of .12 percent, police said. Briggs is scheduled to appear in Sherman Court.
ELLICOTT – Mckenzie T. Paulson, of Falconer, was charged Saturday with driving while intoxicated and refusal to submit to a breath test. Troopers pulled a vehicle over on Richard Avenue for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Paulson was allegedly found to be intoxicated and was taken into custody. She was arraigned in Ellicott Court and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail on $1,00 cash bail, $2,000 property bond. Paulson is scheduled to appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.

ARKWRIGHT – Niko P. Messina, 19, of Forestville was charged at 4 p.m. on Thursday with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and resisting arrest. Sheriff’s Deputies located Messina in the state lands off of Meadows Road in the town of Arkwright, following an investigation into an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle complaint earlier in the day. Messina resisted deputies when they attempted to place him into custody. He was eventually taken into custody, arraigned in the town of Hanover Court and committed to the Chautauqua County Jail.

Tara T. Avery, 35, and Jeffrey J. Kulig, 34, both of Jamestown, were charged at 9:30 p.m. on Thursday. Avery was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, second-degree harassment and criminal obstructing of breathing or blood circulation. Kulig was charged with criminal possession of a weapon fourth, harassment second, menacing second and unlawful imprisonment second. Jamestown police responded to 93 Barker St. for a physical domestic and upon arrival found Avery and Kulig in possession of stun guns. Both parties were involved in a domestic incident and were taken into custody after using the stun guns against each other. They were both transported to City Jail awaiting arraignment.

WARREN – Two known juvenile males, ages 14 and 11, were charged with criminal mischief. Pennsylvania State Police in Warren investigated damages to solar lights belonging to Carol M. Walters and Ruth A. Trmblay of Old Pittsfield Road, Brokenstraw Township, Warren County.

SINCLAIRVILLE – Angelo Spicola Jr., 51, of Main Street, Sinclairville, was charged at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday with third-degree assault and second-degree harassment. Deputies investigated a report of an altercation that occurred on Main Street, and following an investigation police learned Spicola allegedly grabbed and held an individual down and spit in their face. He also caused injury to the victim’s ribs, resulting in the victim seeking medical attention. A warrant was issued and Spicola was taken into custody and arraigned in Charlotte Court. He was scheduled to appear back in court at a later date.
NORTH HARMONY – Colleen M. Heffner, 23, of Prendergast Avenue, Jamestown, was charged at 9:21 p.m. on Tuesday with driving while intoxicated per se and common law, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, unlicensed operation, inadequate head lamps, second-degree criminal impersonation, false personation and third-degree identity theft. Deputies observed a blue SUV traveling southbound on South Maple Street with a head lamp out. Heffner was found operation the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, and allegedly gave officers a license of a different individual. She later gave deputies her identity. Heffner was arraigned in North Harmony Court and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail on bail.
HANOVER – Rachel F. Deck, 35, of Lackawanna was charged at 4:11 p.m. on Wednesday with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and failure to stop at a stop sign. Deputies on patrol observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign. The vehicle was stopped a short distance later, and the driver, Deck, was found to have a revoked license. She was issued appearance tickets to be in Hanover Court at a later date.
SILVER CREEK – Kevin P. McCleary, 60, of Bell Street, Erie, Pa., was charged at 10 a.m. on Thursday with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and speeding. Deputies stopped a vehicle for speeding on Central Avenue. An investigation found that McCleary’s driving privileges had been suspended for prior vehicle and traffic incidents. He was released to appear in Silver Creek Court at a later date.
FORESTVILLE – Sydney S. Sprague, 20, of Forestville, and Amanda L. Steiner, 19, of Silver Creek, were charged at 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday with unlawful possession of marijuana. Deputies were called to Main Street for a noise complaint. Upon arrival, deputies observed a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the upstairs apartment. Sprague and Steiner were allegedly found in possession of a small quantity of marijuana and were issued appearance tickets to be in Hanover Court at a later date.

David C. Stevens, 40, of Fredonia was charged at 2:26 a.m. on Thursday with moving from lane unsafely, improper or no signal, failure to keep right, speed in zone, driving while intoxicated and driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater. A vehicle was observed changing lanes unsafely without signaling on North Main Street. The vehicle continued and was observed failing to keep right and speeding. Stevens was stopped and found to be intoxicated. He was scheduled to be arraigned in Jamestown City Court.
Luis M. Rosa, 48, of Celoron was charged at 11:40 p.m. on Wednesday with failure to keep right, moving from lane unsafely, refusal to take prescreen breath test, driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .18 percent or greater. A vehicle was observed moving from its lane unsafely and failing to keep right as it traveled on Jones and Gifford Avenue. Rosa was stopped and allegedly found to be operating in an intoxicated condition. He was taken into custody and was scheduled to be arraigned in Jamestown City Court.

Jason A. Holdridge, 28, of Central Avenue, Falconer, was charged on Wednesday with third-degree assault. Police were dispatched to a physical domestic dispute at a Falconer residence between a father and son. Holdridge was charged after allegedly throwing his father to the ground, causing him to have minor injuries. He was arraigned in Ellicott Court and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of bail.

Tess M. Diamond, 20, was charged at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday with fourth-degree grand larceny following an investigation at Old Navy in the Chautauqua Mall. Police alleged that Diamond stole merchandise and made fraudulent returns in the amount of $1,720. She was issued an appearance ticket to be in Busti Court at a later date.
Daniel W. Weaver, 55, of Mayville was charged at 11 a.m. on Wednesday with petit larceny. Weaver was observed taking lawn mower belts from a store without paying. A warrant was issued and served.

Heather A. Yahn, 37, of Frewsburg was charged with harassment following an investigation July 31 into an alleged harassment of a resident at a group home in Ellicott. Yahn was taken into custody and issued an appearance ticket to be in Ellicott Court at a later date.
Ashley R. Spencer, 18, of Falconer Street, Jamestown, and a 16-year-old were charged on Monday with unlawful possession of marijuana. Police conducted a traffic stop on West Falconer Street at 2 a.m. and found both subjects allegedly to be in possession of marijuana. Both were scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

ELLICOTT – Michael A. Krontz, 57, of White Pigeon, Mich., was charged at 9:20 p.m. on Saturday with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation following a traffic stop. It was reported by another motorist that Krontz’s vehicle was allegedly driving erratically. It was later found that his driving privileges were suspended. He was issued a traffic ticket to appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.
ARKWRIGHT – Steven Riley, 45, of Route 83, Forestville, was charged with petit larceny, fourth-degree criminal mischief, resisting arrest, second-degree obstructing governmental administration, second-degree harassment and unlawful possession of marijuana Tuesday. Deputies responded to a report of a larceny at 7:24 p.m. After an investigation, Riley was taken into custody and in the process he allegedly fought with deputies. While in custody, Riley continued being disorderly and spit on a deputy. He was arraigned and committed to Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of bail.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Jamestown police on Monday in conjunction with New York State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit conducted a safety checkpoint. Patrols directed trucks to the checkpoint for a safety inspection. There were 33 trucks inspected and 14 traffic tickets issued to drivers.

DELEVAN – Paul S. Mitchell, 49, of Stevens Drive, was charged at 9 p.m. on Monday with second-degree harassment and second-degree criminal contempt following a domestic incident. He was arraigned in Yorkshire Court and transported to jail on $2,000 bail.
ALLEGANY – Bret M. Heath, 21, of Stowe Street, Jamestown was charged at 11:52 p.m. on Monday with fourth-degree criminal mischief for allegedly breaking a wooden fence behind 45 W. Main St. after trying to jump over it several times. He was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Allegany Court at a later date.

WESTFIELD – Rory A. Houser, 27, of West Main Street was charged at 1:19 a.m. on Tuesday with driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI with a blood alcohol content of .18 percent or greater and operating with a suspended registration. Deputies stopped a vehicle in Brocton, and allegedly found Houser intoxicated. He was taken into custody and released with uniform traffic tickets to appear in court at a later date.
SILVER CREEK – Christian M. Lamoreaux, 26, of Dunkirk was charged at 7 p.m. on Monday with second-degree burglary, third-degree assault, criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation and fourth-degree criminal mischief. Deputies responded to a report of a disorderly person at a residence on Elm Street. Deputies learned that Lamoreaux allegedly entered a residence without permission and assaulted a victim and choked her. Deputies obtained an arrest warrant from Hanover Court and took him into custody a short time later. Lamoreaux was arraigned and committed to Chautauqua County Jail on $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 property bond. He will be back in court at a later date.
HANOVER – David M. Rich, 26, was charged at 9:05 p.m. on Sunday with driving in the wrong direction on a one-way street, driving while intoxicated per se and DWI common law. Deputies were on patrol on South Shore Drive and observed a vehicle traveling in the wrong direction on a one-way street. Rich was identified as the driver and allegedly found to be intoxicated. He was released with appearance tickets to be in Hanover Court at a later date.

Katherine R. Stevens, 23, was charged at 7 p.m. on Monday with second-degree aggravated harassment. Officers took a walk for a complaint of an aggravated harassment. The victim reported receiving alarming and upsetting phone calls and text messages from Stevens. Stevens was located, taken into custody and was held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Jail.
Darryl K. Clifton, 22, was charged at 10:35 p.m. on Monday with first-degree reckless endangerment, endangering the welfare of a child and aggravated family offense. Officers were dispatched to a domestic dispute on Baker Street between Clifton and a family member. Police learned Clifton allegedly poured gasoline on the victim with a 3-year-old present. He was taken into custody a short distance from the scene and was held pending arraignment.
Anthony Woods, 49, was charged at 9:38 p.m. on Monday with leaving the scene of a property-damage accident, felony driving while intoxicated and felony driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater. A vehicle legally parked on Barrett Avenue was struck by another vehicle and left the scene. The driver and damaged vehicle were found a block away on Crown Street. Woods was allegedly found to be intoxicated and was taken into custody. Woods was found to have a previous DWI conviction within the past 10 years, making the arrest a felony. He was held pending arraignment.
Alaticia Cabral, 32, was charged at 6:35 p.m. on Monday with fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment. Officers were dispatched to Camp Street for a domestic incident. Officers were advised that Cabral had allegedly gone to a residence and threatened the victim. She then broke two solar garden lamps and put a small dent in the victim’s car. Cabral was located a short time later and taken into custody. She was held pending arraignment.

James D. Lundsten, 45, of West James Street, Falconer, was charged on Saturday with second-degree harassment. Police were dispatched to a past domestic dispute. Police learned Lundsten allegedly made threats during the dispute. He will be arraigned in Ellicott Court at a later date.
Terin L. Butler, 22, of Willard Street, Jamestown, was charged on Aug. 11 with petit larceny. Butler was taken into custody on an arrest warrant stemming from an incident that occurred at Kwik Fill on West Main Street in Falconer. Police said Butler allegedly took items without paying, and is due in court to answer the charge.
Ashley R. Spencer, 18, of Falconer Street was charged on Monday with unlawful possession of marijuana. Police conducted a traffic stop at 2 a.m. and found Spencer and a 16-year-old were in possession of marijuana. Both were issued appearance tickets to be in Ellicott Court at a later date.

Erin L. Himes, 35, of Wilton Avenue, Jamestown, was charged at noon on Tuesday with fourth-degree grand larceny. Himes was taken into custody stemming from an investigation into internal theft at Old Navy. Loss prevention from the store showed Himes taking merchandise and make several fraudulent returns while an employee. The amount totaled $1,216. Himes was directed to appear in court Aug. 22.

Janice Esbri, 43, was charged at 11:53 p.m. on Sunday with second-degree menacing. Officers responded to Lafayette Street for a report of a domestic dispute in progress with a weapon involved. An investigation found that Esbri allegedly displayed a knife to the victim and then charged the victim with the knife. Esbri was taken into custody and was awaiting arraignment.
Donald W. Dean Sr., 39, was charged at 4:15 a.m. on Monday with felony third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana. Officers observed Dean entering a 7-11 store on Hazeltine Avenue and were aware of several warrants for his arrest. Dean was taken into custody, and during a search of his vehicle revealed quantities of cocaine, Suboxone strips and marijuana. He was transported to Jamestown City Jail and was held pending arraignment.

Corey D. Thrasher, 18, of Carlton Avenue, Falconer, was charged on Saturday with unlawful possession of marijuana. Officers responded to a noise complaint in Falconer. Police allegedly found a small quantity of marijuana in Thrasher’s possession. He was issued an appearance ticket and was scheduled to appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.
Blake T. Truver, 21; Patrick S. Seekings, 21; and Ryan D. Baker, 20, all of Jamestown, were charged on Monday with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and third-degree criminal trespassing. Officers responded to a complaint of subjects taking copper from a dumpster at Titan X. While responding, police observed a vehicle flee the scene. All three were found in possession of copper fins and were issued appearance tickets to be in Ellicott Court.

FREDONIA – Steven L. Miller, of Mill Street, Cassadaga, was charged at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated per se and leaving the scene of a property damage accident. Deputies responded to a property damage accident that occurred at Kwik Fill on Bennett Road. It was observed that the operator fled the scene following the accident, police said. The driver was later identified as Miller, who was allegedly found to be intoxicated. He was scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
RIPLEY – Dennis T. Wade II, 36, of North East, Pa., was charged at 12:05 a.m. on Sunday with driving while intoxicated, driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. Deputies observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on South State Street. The driver was identified as Wade, and following an investigation, he was found to be intoxicated, police said. Police said Wade’s license was revoked. He was scheduled to appear in Ripley Court at a later date.
HANOVER – A 17-year-old female was charged at 2 a.m. on Saturday with third-degree assault. Deputies took a report from a female victim who stated she was attacked by another female on East Spears Road. Deputies learned that the youth allegedly struck the victim in the head numerous times during the altercation, police said. The youth was issued an appearance ticket and will be in court at a later date.

Nikolay A. Simakov, of Amherst, was charged at 11:36 p.m. on Saturday with driving while intoxicated per se and aggravated driving while intoxicated. Officers responded to a call on Forest Avenue Extension to check the well-being of a motorist stopped on the side of the road. Simakov was identified as the driver and found to be intoxicated, police said. Her blood alcohol content was found to be greater than .18 percent, police said. Simakov was taken into custody and later released with an appearance ticket to be in court at a later date.

FORESTVILLE – Nicholas O. Castellano, 24, of Gowanda was charged with second-degree burglary, second-degree menacing and criminal possession of a weapon Aug. 10. Sheriff’s deputies responded to a possible burglary in progress on Route 39 in the town of Hanover. Following an investigation, it was determined Castellano entered a household and threatened a victim with a knife. A warrant was issued and the suspect was charged. Castellano was arraigned in Town of Hanover Court and taken to Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of bail.
RIPLEY – Samantha Travis, 23, of Erie, Pa., was charged with second-degree harassment Wednesday. Sheriff’s deputies responded to a fight complaint on Route 5 at 10:15 p.m. Upon arrival it was alleged Travis was involved in an altercation with another person. She was issued an appearance ticket for Town of Ripley Court.
KIANTONE – Christopher J. Conti, 42, of 75 Sanford Drive, Jamestown, was charged with driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or higher and crossing hazard markings after an accident Saturday morning. Sheriff’s deputies responded to an accident report at 12:26 a.m. and an investigation determined Conti was southbound on Peck Settlement Road when he swerved to miss a deer and struck an embankment. Deputies determined Conti had been operating the vehicle while intoxicated. He was issued tickets and released to appear in Town of Kiantone Court at a later date. Nobody was injured in the accident.
ELLICOTT – Rodney E. Thomas, 48, of 2 E. Main St., Falconer, was charged with no headlights, no license plates, unlicensed operator, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or higher Saturday morning. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Fluvanna Avenue Extension in Ellicott at 3:40 a.m. after observing a vehicle with no license plates or headlights. Investigation determined that Thomas was operating the vehicle with his driving privileges revoked. Deputies also learned that Thomas was intoxicated. He was arraigned in Town of Ellicott Court and taken to Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $750 cash/$1,500 property bail. Additionally, the vehicle Thomas was operating was taken from a local used-car lot and repair shop in Jamestown without permission. The investigation is continuing and additional charges may be filed.
WESTFIELD – Jonathon N. Paddock II, 29, of 7816 N. Portage St., Westfield, was charged with third-degree burglary and fourth-degree grand larceny Friday night. The sheriff’s K-9 unit and Westfield police conducted a warrant check at 9 p.m. and located Paddock inside the residence at 7816 N. Portage St. Paddock was wanted in the town of Ripley. He was taken to Town of Ripley Court before being remanded to Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash/$40,000 property bail.
WESTFIELD – Brock D. Tyrell, 36, of 91 Jefferson St., Westfield, was taken into custody on a Family Court warrant Friday night. Sheriff’s deputies and Westfield police conducted a warrant check and located Tyrell at 91 Jefferson St. During the arrest, police located a controlled substance on Tyrell. He was remanded to Chautauqua County Jail for the Family Court warrant and additional charges are pending.
MAYVILLE – A 17-year-old male was charged with seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance Friday night. Deputies checking the area of North Erie Street in Mayville located youths in the roadway at 10:05 p.m. The 17-year-old was found to be in possession of a controlled substance, issued appearance tickets and released.
STOCKTON – A 17-year-old female was charged with false personation, speeding and uninspected motor vehicle Aug. 10. Sheriff’s deputies pulled over a vehicle speeding northbound on North Main Street in the village of Cassadaga at 9:32 p.m. Deputies identified the driver, but later learned that she gave a false Michigan’s driver’s license. The female was issued tickets for Town of Stockton Court at a later date.

Simeon O. Spears, 57, of Jamestown was charged with moving from lane unsafely, unregistered motor vehicle, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and driving while intoxicated Saturday morning. Officers responded to a residence on Charles Street for a disorderly male at 1:07 a.m. and then had to return at 1:41 a.m. Spears allegedly left in his vehicle prior to officers’ arrival and then returned intoxicated during the investigation. He will be arraigned in Jamestown City Court.

NAPOLI – Melissa L. Doud, 35, of 9503 Fuss Road, Napoli, was charged with second-degree criminal trespassing, fourth-degree criminal mischief, second-degree criminal contempt, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct Wednesday. Deputies responded to a complaint of a person breaking into a house on Fuss Road. Upon arrival, deputies discovered Doud in the residence, having broken a window to gain access. She was arraigned in Town of Randolph Court and bail was set at $1,000.

SILVER CREEK – Jeffrey A. Parisio, 23, of 26 Adams St., Silver Creek, was charged at 8:30 a.m. on Friday with rape second. He was taken into custody without incident and was committed to the Chautauqua County Jail awaiting a court appearance.
HANOVER – Timothy J. Penner, 46, of 1265 Penora, Depew, N.Y., was charged at 7 p.m. on Aug. 11 with driving while intoxicated and unsafe start. Penner was on Allegheny Road, exiting Sunset Bay, and stopped at the railroad tracks yielding to two passing freight trains. A vehicle was stopped in front of him. Penner began spinning his tires while having his brakes applied. He was approached by a deputy due to the reckless nature of his actions. Investigation led to his being charged. He will be in Hanover Town Court at a later date.

John D. Devereau, 20, and Christian T. Powell, 17, both of Jamestown, were charged at 3:45 a.m. Friday with assault third and harassment second. Jamestown Police responded to Liberty Street for an assault that just occurred. Officers spoke with the victim who stated that he was assaulted by John Devereau with a hammer and then thrown to the ground by Christian Powell at 133 Fulton St. Officers located Devereau and Powell at the Fulton Street address. They were transported to Jamestown City Jail where they are awaiting arraignment.
Andrew S. Ratajczak, 22, of Jamestown, was charged at 2:23 a.m. on Friday with speed in zone, failure to keep right, move from lane unsafely, refusal to take prescreen test, driving while intoxicated, driving with .08 of 1 percent or more of alcohol and aggravated unlicensed operator first. A vehicle was observed speeding on Blackstone Avenue, continued onto Allen Street, was observed failing to keep right and moving from lane unsafely. The vehicle was stopped on Scioto Street at Barrows Street and Ratajczak was found to be operating it with one passenger. He was transported to the Jamestown Police Department City Jail and it was found that he had a prior conviction for driving while intoxicated and a suspended New York state license. Ratajczak will be arraigned in the Jamestown City Court.

SALAMANCA – David J. Knoxsah, 24, of Salamanca, was charged at 3:50 p.m. on Tuesday with assault third and harassment second, following an incident that occurred in the city of Salamanca. He is currently being held awaiting arraignment.

TOWN OF ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT
Christopher J. Rock, 35, and Steven M. Rock, 32, both of 341 W. Main St., Falconer, were charged on July 30 with petit larceny. Ellicott Police officers responded to a shoplifting incident at the K-Mart store. After further investigation, it was found that Steven M. and Christopher J. Rock concealed items belonging to the K-Mart store and left the store. Ellicott offices were able to locate both men off of video surveillance and a vehicle plate number. Both were arrested, charged and are due to appear in the town of Ellicott Court at a later date to answer the charges.
Blaydon F. Niles, 22, of Falconer, was charged on Wednesday with trespassing. It was reported to the town of Ellicott Police Department that Niles had operated his all terrain vehicle on the property of another Falconer resident after having been informed that he was not to be doing so. During the investigation, it was found that he had operated the ATV and did go onto the property he was told not to be on. Niles was issued an appearance ticket to appear in the town of Ellicott Court at a later date.

WESTFIELD – Paul M. Soisson, 47, of 1210 Faulkner Way, Greensburg, Pa., was charged at 2:05 p.m. on Thursday with driving while intoxicated, open container and refusal of prescreen. Westfield Police were called to the area of 7904 Route 5 in the town of Westfield to check the well-being of a person that had pulled along side of the road and was blocking a driveway. Upon arrival and subsequent investigation, it was determined that the driver, Soisson, was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicants. He was charged and arraigned in front of Justice Jerry Laport, Town of Westfield, and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $4,000 cash or $8,000 property bond.

PORTLAND – Christopher A. Tanner, 22, of West Main Street, Brocton, was charged at 9:40 p.m. on Aug. 8 with third-degree assault. Deputies responded to a call of an assault on Webster Road. Upon arrival and following an investigation, it was found that Tanner was allegedly involved in a verbal argument with another subject. During the argument Tanner allegedly pulled out a knife and swung it at another subject. The person sustained a cut to their hand. The fight was broken up, and Tanner fled the area. Tanner was later located and issued an appearance ticket to be in court at a later date.
SILVER CREEK – Christopher M. Nowak, 23, of Angola, was charged at 8:42 p.m. on Monday with driving while ability impaired by drugs, no seatbelt and failure to signal turn. Deputies observed a vehicle violating vehicle and traffic laws. The driver was later identified as Nowak. He was released to a third party to appear in Silver Creek Court at a later date.

Cory R. Anthony, 26, of Linwood Avenue, Lakewood, was charged at 10:25 p.m. on Wednesday with first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child and prohibited sales of alcohol to a person under 21. Police responded to a local bar for a complaint of an underage person being served. It was found that Anthony allegedly served the underage patron. He was scheduled to appear in Busti Court at a later date.

Ronald C. Greene Jr., 22, of West Main Street, Falconer, was charged at 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday with resisting arrest, second-degree obstructing governmental administration and second-degree harassment. Police responded to Circle Drive for a fight in progress. Officers observed several people fleeing the scene and a foot pursuit ensued. At one point an officer was allegedly punched in the face by Greene, who was taken into custody following a brief struggle. He was arraigned in Busti Court and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail.
Amanda R. Kimpel, 31, of Jamestown was picked up on a warrant out of Busti Court due to trespassing on Wal-Mart property. Police said Kimpel has been formally evicted from the store, but was observed on the property.

HANOVER – Robert N. Rydzewski, 38, of Angola was charged at 2:40 p.m. on Tuesday with illegal dumping. Deputies were called to Buffalo Street for alleged illegal dumping complaint. It was found Rydzewski allegedly dumped several large piles of concrete blocks and gravel in an attempt to gain access across railroad tracks to his property without permission. He was issued appearance tickets to be in Hanover Court at a later date.

Police said she allegedly took merchandise without paying and later exchanged the items for cash. Meacham was issued an appearance ticket to be in Busti Court at a later date.
Bradley W. Howard, 22, of Hern Avenue, was charged at 8:30 p.m. on Monday with endangering the welfare of a child, criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation and second-degree harassment. Officers responded to a past-tense domestic dispute and spoke with a victim who said Howard allegedly pushed her to the ground and slapped and choked her. Howard was taken into custody on a warrant and was arraigned in Busti Court. He was remanded to Chautauqua County Jail.

Candace A. Calhoun, 53, of Hazzard Street, Jamestown, was charged on Tuesday with fifth-degree welfare fraud, first-degree offering a false instrument for filing and misuse of food stamps. Calhoun was issued appearance tickets after it was alleged that from Feb. 1, 2012, to May 31, 2012, she failed to report that her son was employed and receiving income while he was active on the benefit case. Calhoun received $2,798.44 in benefits that she was not entitled to receive due to her failure to report the income. She is scheduled to appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date.

Police responded to a shoplifting complaint at K-Mart on Fairmount Avenue. Brown and Shanks were taken into custody and are scheduled to appear in Ellicott Court at a later date to answer the charges.
Jacob Matherly, 20, of Jamestown, was charged on Friday with endangering the welfare of a child and fourth-degree criminal mischief. It was reported to Ellicott Police that Matherly had allegedly damaged the door of a vehicle while a child was in the back seat. The incident occurred during a domestic violence incident. Matherly was arraigned in Ellicott Court and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of bail.
Frank J. Orazio, 23, of Route 380, Stockton, was charged on Thursday with petit larceny. Police learned Orazio allegedly attempted to leave K-Mart on Fairmount Avenue with several items without permission or paying for them. He was issued appearance tickets to be in court at a later date.
Tyler T. Carroll, 23, of Salisbury Road, Jamestown, was charged with failure to keep right and driving while intoxicated. Police on April 11 responded to a vehicle into a pole on Fairmount Avenue. Following an investigation, Carroll was determined to be intoxicated at the time of the crash. He will be in Ellicott Court at a later date.

Upon arrival it was determined that Cann allegedly punched a female in the face, causing swelling and bruising to her eye. Cann was taken into custody and will be in Busti Court at a later date.

Deputies were dispatched to a report of a physical altercation on Central Avenue. It was discovered that Brown was the aggressor and was taken into custody. He was remanded to Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of bail.
BEMUS POINT – Kasey S. Sweeney, 21, of Jamestown was charged at 11 p.m. on Friday with disorderly conduct and petit larceny. Deputies were dispatched for a report of a fight at a business in downtown Bemus Point. Sweeney allegedly stole a waitress’ apron, containing money and personal items. When confronted by staff, Sweeney allegedly became physical and used obscene language. He was taken into custody, arraigned and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $500 cash bail.
BEMUS POINT – Brian W. Kinney, 35, of Westfield was charged at 1:50 a.m. on Saturday with driving while intoxicated, driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater, failure to signal and unsafe turn. Deputies observed a vehicle fail to sign a turn. Kinney was later found to be intoxicated and was issued citations to appear in Ellery Court at a later date.

Frank J. Capizzi, 38, was charged at 10 p.m. on Friday with second-degree obstructing governmental administration. Police were investigating a fight on Falconer Street when Capizzi allegedly fled on foot and was told to stop numerous times. He was later taken into custody and transported to Jamestown City Jail. He was awaiting arraignment.
Richard W. Michael, 29, was charged at 4:30 a.m. on Friday with improper right turn, refusal to take breath test and driving while intoxicated. A vehicle was observed making an improper right turn. Michael was found to be the driver and later determined to be intoxicated. He was transported to Jamestown City Jail and will be arraigned in Jamestown City Court.
Justin Aiken, 33, was charged at 2:24 a.m. on Saturday with failure to keep right, driving while intoxicated and driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater. Officers observed a vehicle failing to keep right and pulled the vehicle over. Aiken was found to be the driver and determined to be intoxicated. He was transported to Jamestown City Jail and was held pending arraignment.

Michele L. Chamberlain, 45, of 128 Thayer St., Jamestown, was charged at 6:25 p.m. on Thursday, with endangering the welfare of a child, fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment. On Aug. 8, Jamestown Police Department officers were dispatched to Thayer and Newton streets for a past-tense harassment. Upon arrival, officers made contact with an adult female and a child. Upon investigation, officers determined that while the female victim was a 128 Thayer St., Chamberlain began hitting her and pulling on her clothes. The female was sitting in a vehicle with her child when the incident took place and her shirt was torn. Ms. Chamberlain was transported to City Jail and is awaiting arraignment.
Miranda L. Speer, 30, of Jamestown was charged at 1:56 a.m. on Friday with improper/no signal, driving while intoxicated and driving with .08 of 1 percent or more of alcohol. A vehicle was observed on East Third Street failing to signal its turn south onto North Main Street. The vehicle stopped on South Main Street near Harrison Street and Speer was observed operating the vehicle with one other passenger. Upon investigation, Ms. Speer was found to be intoxicated and was transported to the Jamestown Police Deportment City Jail and charged. She will be arraigned in the Jamestown City Court.
TOWN OF ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT
FALCONER – Walter M. Westerdahl, 32, of 2588 S. Work St., Falconer, was charged with stealing. A Falconer resident reported to the Ellicott Police Department that someone had stolen property from their home on July 18. Ellicott police obtained a warrant for Westerdahl for stealing from the home, was picked up and arraigned in Ellicott Court. He was sent to the Chautauqua County Jail.
FALCONER – Robert A. Arguelles, 23, was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. On July 18, a Falconer resident reported to the Ellicott Police Department that their vehicle had been stolen overnight and was recovered in the city of Jamestown earlier that morning. Police were able to find that an assault had occurred and had been investigated by the Jamestown Police department where Arguelles had been charged in that case. EPD found that he had been staying at the victim’s home and was observed with the stolen vehicle in Jamestown. A warrant was issued for Arguelles, who was currently being held in the Chautauqua County Jail and brought down to Ellicott court for arraignment. Arguelles was sent back to the jail on current charges.

Michael C. Olay Jr., 35, of Jamestown was charged at 8:40 p.m. on Tuesday with two counts of petit larceny. It is alleged that Olay took $110.84 worth of merchandise from Wal-Mart without paying. On July 2, police learned Olay allegedly exited the store with a mountain bike without paying. He was issued appearance tickets to be in Busti Court at a later date.

WESTFIELD – Samuel J. Cettell, 33, of Clinton Street was charged at 9:20 p.m. on Wednesday with two counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. Rosa M. Cettell, 53, was charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. Deputies and Westfield police served a warrant on Clinton Street. Both were committed to Chautauqua County Jail and will appear in County Court at a later date.
CASSADAGA – Shawn Canvender, 44, of Smith Road, was charged at 4:20 p.m. on Wednesday with disorderly conduct. Deputies responded for a report of an unwanted person. Canvender was found to be allegedly disorderly and throwing furniture in the residence. He was arraigned, released and scheduled to be in Charlotte Court at a later date.
SILVER CREEK – Josean Gutierrez, 25, of West Fourth Street, was charged at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday with unlawful possession of marijuana and uninsured motor vehicle. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Central Avenue. With the help of a K-9 unit, Gutierrez was allegedly found in possession of marijuana. He was released to appear back in Silver Creek Court at a later date.

SINCLAIRVILLE – Tyler Chase, 24, of Jamestown was charged on Aug. 2 with fourth-degree criminal mischief. Troopers responded to a complaint that Chase allegedly destroyed trees on the victim’s property by running them over with a brush hog. He was processed at police barracks and will be in Charlotte Court at a later date.
SHERMAN – Arthur Reid, 22, was charged on Aug. 3 with driving while intoxicated. Reid was stopped on Main Street for driving an unregistered go-cart and was later found to be intoxicated. He provided a breath sample of .10 percent at police barracks and later issued appearance tickets to be in Sherman Court.
DUNKIRK – Matthew Buchanan-Ruiz, 22, was charged on Aug. 4 with driving while intoxicated. Troopers responded to a vehicle in a ditch on Wade Hill Road in Ellington. Buchanan-Ruiz was taken into custody after he failed several field sobriety tests. He was processed and issued appearance tickets to be in Ellington Court at a later date. No injuries were reported.
Cole Booth, 22, of Randolph was charged with first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child and endangering the welfare of a child. An investigation found that Booth on July 27 allegedly a 14-year-old victim several alcoholic drinks, causing the youth to become intoxicated. Booth was processed at police barracks and issued appearance tickets to be in Ellington Court at a later date.

FORESTVILLE – Sydney Sprague, 20, of Main Street was charged at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday with unlawful possession of marijuana. Deputies responded to investigate a complaint of a strong odor of marijuana coming from an upstairs apartment. Sprague gave consent to search the apartment when a small quantity of marijuana and marijuana pipes were discovered. Sprague was issued appearance tickets.
KIANTONE – John R. Monda, 28, of Falconer was charged at 4:20 a.m. on Saturday with failure to keep right and aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .18 percent or higher. Deputies investigated a single-car crash on Route 62 and determined Monda was northbound when he crossed the center line and struck a guardrail. Monda was later determined to be intoxicated and was issued appearance tickets to be in court at a later date.
POLAND – Traci K. Faulkner, 41, was charged at 9:54 p.m. on Tuesday with driving while intoxicated and failure to keep right. Deputies were dispatched to a property damage accident on Willard Street Extension. Police learned Faulkner was westbound when she allegedly lost control and struck several fence posts, a piece of farm machinery and cement garage wall. She was later found to be intoxicated and is scheduled to appear in Poland Court at a later date.

Robert Majak Jr., 50, and Michael Majak, 48, were charged at 10 p.m. on Tuesday with second-degree robbery and third-degree assault. Police responded to a Spring Street apartment for a report of an assault. An investigation found that the brothers allegedly assaulted a 32-year-old victim and pushed him down a stairwell. Both Majaks then allegedly stole the victim’s backpack. The victim required medical treatment, police said. The brothers were awaiting arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
Steven C. Cabisca, 40, was charged at 6 p.m. on Tuesday with criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police responded to a suspicious vehicle with reports of the occupants allegedly involved in drug activity. The vehicle was stopped on Newland Avenue and found that Cabisca had a bench warrant for criminal mischief. He was also found to be in possession of numerous hypodermic needles and narcotics. He was transported to city jail and was held pending arraignment.

Officers observed all four subjects allegedly using obscenities in the public park with numerous adults and children present. Peter Shaw-Brougham Jr., 18, of Flood Road, Conewango, was charged with third-degree assault and petit larceny. Shaw-Brougham was taken into custody on two arrest warrants in Cattaraugus County stemming from an incident that took place in March. Police were dispatched for a larceny complaint regarding a large quantity of prescription pills. Police later learned the suspect allegedly assaulted the victim before taking the pills and fleeing the scene. He was arraigned in Ellicott Court and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail.

VILLENOVA – Eric T. Stalker, 39, of Route 83, was charged at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday with third-degree assault, second-degree unlawful imprisonment and criminal obstruction of breathing. Deputies were dispatched to a residence for a physical altercation in progress. When deputies arrived, an altercation could be heard coming from the residence. Entry was gained and Stalker was taken into custody. He was arraigned and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail.
HANOVER – Eric M. Sanden, 30, of Dunkirk, was charged at 3:30 p.m. on Friday with second-degree aggravated harassment. Deputies responded to a report of threatening phone calls. After speaking with the victim, it was alleged that Sanden made threats of bodily harm. He was issued an appearance ticket to be in Hanover Court at a later date.

Richard A. Johnston, 45, of Allen Street, Jamestown, was charged at 2:25 a.m. on Sunday with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated per se, suspended registration, inadequate brake lights and loud exhaust. Police were on patrol on Forest Avenue Extension and observed a westbound vehicle with a loud exhaust and a brake light out. Johnston was found to have a suspended license and was allegedly intoxicated. He was taken into custody and will be in Busti Court at a later date.

Joseph A. Ferino, 45, was charged at 7:08 p.m. on Sunday with endangering the welfare of a child. Officers responded to Spring Street to assist the Jamestown Fire Department and Alstar Ambulance. Ferino had been found unresponsive by his 3-year-old son and became disorderly when first responders attempted to treat him. Ferino then began acting aggressively and chased his son. He had to be separated by members of the fire department and was taken into custody. Ferino was held pending arraignment.
Michael J. Bartok, 39, of Greenhurst Village, was charged at 2:36 a.m. on Sunday with failure to keep right, refusal of breath screening test, driving while intoxicated and driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater. Officers conducted a traffic stop for a van that failed to keep right. An investigation found Bartok was intoxicated and he was taken into custody. Police learned Bartok had a prior DWI conviction in 2007, making Sunday’s charge a felony.

HANOVER – Charles J. Hall, 44, of Sanduski, Ohio, was charged at 12:50 a.m. on Sunday with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .18 percent or greater, failure to keep right and moving from lane unsafely. Deputies stopped a vehicle on Allegany Road for traffic violations. Hall was identified as the driver and was later found to be intoxicated. He was taken into custody and released with traffic tickets. Hall is due in Hanover Court at a later date.

Corwin, 38, of Niagara Falls, was charged at 2:54 a.m. on Sunday with failure to stop at a stop sign, open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .18 percent or greater. Deputies observed a vehicle allegedly not make a complete stop at Putnam Road at Maple Avenue. Corwin was identified as the driver and was found to be intoxicated. He was taken into custody and released with traffic tickets. Corwin will be in Stockton Court at a later date.

Mary A. Doan, 56, of St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada, was charged on Saturday with driving while intoxicated and driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater. A concerned citizen called police to report a vehicle driven erratically on Route 60. The driver was later found in the drive-thru lane at McDonalds. While speaking to Doan, officers could smell alcohol. A field sobriety test was administered, which Doan allegedly failed. She was taken into custody, arraigned in Ellicott Court and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail. Doan will be back in Ellicott Court at a later date.

Deputies responded to a report of a domestic disturbance on Route 430 in Mayville. Police learned Robertson was the alleged aggressor. He was arraigned in Chautauqua Court and remanded to jail.
BEMUS POINT – Laura A. Taylor, 47, of Jamestown, was charged at 8:30 p.m. on Friday with unlawful possession of marijuana and no seatbelt. Stephanie M. Osman, 34, of Jamestown, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. Deputies observed an operator of a motor vehicle without a seatbelt, police said. Taylor and Osman were identified and each was allegedly found to be in possession of small amounts of marijuana. Both were issued appearance tickets for Ellery Court.
BEMUS POINT – Andrew S. Hodges, 26, of Jamestown, was charged at 1:45 a.m. on Saturday with fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment. Deputies were dispatched to a harassment complaint at the Hotel Lenhart. Police learned Hodges allegedly harassed and shoved an employee, and broke a lamp. He was issued appearance tickets for Ellery Court.
HANOVER – Kevin R. Hennigan, 44, of Elma, was charged at 1:15 p.m. on July 28 for petit larceny. Deputies were called to Kwik Fill on Routes 5 and 20 for an alleged larceny. It was learned Hennigan took money from a cancer donation canister that did not belong to him, police said. He was issued an appearance ticket to be in Hanover Court at a later date.
HANOVER – A 16-year-old male was charged on Sunday with third-degree unauthorized use of a vehicle. Deputies were called to a residence in Hanover for an alleged stolen vehicle. The missing vehicle was located a short distance from the residence and was found to have been involved in an accident with the driver leaving the scene. An investigation found that the vehicle was taken by a 16-year-old, who later crashed and left, police said. The youth was issued an appearance ticket to be in Hanover Court. Further charges are pending.

Jesus A. Lao-Santana, 33, was charged at 12:20 a.m. on Sunday with fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment. Officers responded to West Seventh Street for a reported domestic dispute. An investigation revealed Leo-Santana allegedly punched the victim’s bathroom wall, leaving two holes, police said. He also allegedly punched the victim three times during the dispute. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to Jamestown City Jail. He was awaiting arraignment.
Amanda K. Overbeck, 25, of Ashville, was charged at 4:34 a.m. on Saturday with speeding, driving while intoxicated and driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater. William S. Emo, 24, of Jamestown, was taken into custody on a warrant from city court. Police observed a vehicle speeding on Allen Street. Overbeck was identified as the driver and found to be intoxicated. She was taken into custody and transported to Jamestown City Jail. Emo was a passenger in the vehicle and was found to have a warrant out from the city, police said. Both were awaiting arraignment.

Barry S. Cassevoy, 56, of Big Tree Road, was charged at 11 p.m. on Saturday with speed in zone, driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated per se. Police stopped a vehicle on Hunt Road for a traffic violation. Cassevoy was identified as the driver and was found to be intoxicated, police said. He was released with uniform traffic tickets and will be back in Busti Court at a later date.

Xiomara Cabrera, 26, of Prendergast Avenue was charged at 2:55 a.m. on Wednesday with speeding, failure to keep right, failure to reduce speed under special hazards, driving while intoxicated and driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater. Officers conducted a traffic stop on West Sixth Street for a vehicle that was traveling at a high rate of speed. Cabrera was later found to be driving while intoxicated. Cabrera was transported to Jamestown City Court and was awaiting arraignment.
James A. McCallum, 42, was charged at 2:20 a.m. on Thursday with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated per se, failure to keep right and improper left turn. Officers observed a vehicle make an improper right turn onto Main Street. McCallum was later identified as the driver and was found to be intoxicated. He was transported to Jamestown City Jail where his blood alcohol content was found to be more than .18 percent. He was held pending arraignment.
Victor A. Gifford, 39, was charged at 11:56 p.m. on Wednesday with criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation. Officers responded to Spring Street for a domestic dispute. Police found that Gifford allegedly grabbed a female victim by the throat, causing her breathing to become obstructed. Gifford was taken into custody and was held pending arraignment.

Daniel C. Scroggins, 33, was charged at 6:37 a.m. on Wednesday with third-degree felony criminal mischief. Officers were dispatched to McKinley Avenue for a report of a domestic dispute. A female told police her boyfriend became upset with her and threw her Kindle on the floor two times, breaking it.
Edward D. Reger, 70, was charged at 12:07 a.m. on Wednesday with driving while intoxicated, driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater and two counts of failure to stop at a stop sign. Officers observed a vehicle pass through a stop sign without stopping, nearly striking the patrol car. The driver was identified as Reger and was later taken into custody after failing field sobriety tests. He was held pending arraignment.
Zackery L. Nace, 27, was charged at 10:50 p.m. on Tuesday with fourth-degree criminal mischief and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Officers were dispatched to Barrett Avenue for a report of a domestic dispute. Police spoke with the victim, who stated her boyfriend, Nace, was angry because there was no food. Nace allegedly began to throw items around the apartment, one of which was a crockpot that broke. Nace also was found in possession of a set of metal knuckles. He was transported to Jamestown City Jail and was held pending arraignment.

CHAUTAUQUA – Joshua Huntress, 24, was charged at 10:30 p.m. on Monday with second-degree burglary, petit larceny, trespassing and second-degree harassment. Deputies responded to Meadow Road for a report of a male entering a residence without permission and stealing prescription medication. Huntress also was found to have allegedly entered a church at that location without permission and was involved in an altercation with a victim there. He was located at the scene and taken into custody. Huntress was arraigned and committed to Chautauqua County Jail.
NORTH HARMONY – Graham C. Riggle, 40, of Lakewood was charged at 2:06 a.m. on Tuesday with failure to use designated lane, failure to keep right, moving from lane unsafely and driving while intoxicated. Deputies on patrol on Route 394 observed a vehicle make several lane violations. Following an investigation, Riggle was found to be operating the vehicle while intoxicated and was taken into custody. Riggle refused a breath test and was later arraigned in North Harmony Court. He was released to appear back in court at a later date.

ELLICOTT – Pamela Slater, 35, of Jamestown was charged on Monday with unlawful possession of marijuana. Troopers pulled a vehicle over on Interstate 86 for speeding and could smell marijuana coming from the vehicle. Slater was allegedly found in possession of several containers containing 15 grams of marijuana. She was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.
CHAUTAUQUA – Jeffery Ireland, 57, of Edinboro, Pa., was charged on July 24 with second-degree harassment. Troopers responded to a report of a harassing phone call in Chautauqua. Ireland allegedly called and threatened bodily harm to the victim if she called Child Protective Services. Ireland was transported to police barracks in Jamestown and later remanded to Chautauqua County Jail.
