SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
SALAMANCA – Amber E. Bartlett, 24, of 38 Fawn Ave., Salamanca, was charged at 3:35 p.m. Thursday with two counts of misuse of food stamps, two counts of petit larceny and two counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. Bartlett was accused of possessing food stamp benefit cards that belonged to two different inmates in the Cattaraugus County Jail and also of using $5.26 of the food stamps in Olean on Oct. 12 and $305.39 from Sept. 15 to 18, knowing she had no right to do so either time. She will be in Olean City Court later.
OLEAN – Heather L. Ciancio, 26, of 616 Garden Ave., Olean, was charged at 11:20 a.m. Thursday with misuse of food stamps, petit larceny and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. Ciancio is accused of possessing a benefit card that belonged to an inmate in the Cattaraugus County Jail and of using $83.91 of the food stamps in the city of Salamanca from Oct. 8 and Oct. 9, knowing she had no right to do so. She will be in Salamanca City Court later.

SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
POMFRET – Marisol Mendez, 39, and Devlin J. Smith, 21, both of 5361 Route 5, Pomfret, were charged at 2:25 a.m. Friday, with endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree harassment after deputies were dispatched to a reported physical altercation. They will be in court later.
HANOVER – Brian E. Boedo, 28, of Angell Road, Silver Creek, was charged at 2:35 a.m. Friday with driving while intoxicated, driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater and speeding. Deputies pulled a vehicle over on Dennison Road in Hanover for speeding. Upon further investigation, Boedo was charged. He will be in Hanover Town Court later.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
A 17-year-old girl was charged at 12:30 a.m. Friday with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated per se, unsafe lane change and driving out of class. Officers on a routine patrol saw a vehicle strike a curb as it traveled east on West Fifth Street. The vehicle was pulled over and the driver identified as a 17-year-old female. She was placed under arrest and taken to the City Jail where she was held on bail, pending arraignment.
Daryl K. Clifton, 22, and Tamika D. Clifton, both of Jamestown, were charged at 2:37 p.m. Thursday; Daryl Clifton with aggravated family offense on a previous conviction for a domestic incident related charge and Clifton with second-degree menacing. Both were also charged with five counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Jamestown police officers were dispatched to a Jamestown residence for a reported domestic dispute. What began as a verbal argument between Darryl Clifton and Tamiko Clifton resulted in Clifton obtained a knife and threatened to harm Daryl Clifton. Both were taken to the city jail pending arraignment.

POLICE DEPARTMENT
Joshua A. Stenstrom, 27, of Jamestown, was charged on Wednesday with third-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal mischief after Ellicott police were dispatched to investigate a domestic incident at an address on Route 60. Upon investigation, it was found Joshua Stenstrom allegedly assaulted his wife at their residence. Stenstrom was arraigned in Kiantone Town Court and released on bail.

Jay R. Peck, 43, of Walnut Street was charged with first-degree criminal contempt and aggravated family offense. Officers on Thursday at 1:45 a.m. responded to the Hampton Inn, West Oak Hill Road, for a report of a disorderly male and female. Police learned there was a valid order of protection for Peck to stay away from the female. Records showed that Peck had a previous conviction of criminal contempt. He was being held in Jamestown City Jail awaiting arraignment.
WESTFIELD POLICE DEPT.
Robert M. Greenman, 57, of Bourne Street, Westfield, was charged with failure to keep right, driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated and unlawful possession of marijuana. On March 23 at 2 a.m., police stopped a vehicle on Bourne Street for a traffic violation. Greenman was allegedly found to be intoxicated and was in possession of marijuana. He was to appear in Westfield Court at a later date.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
PORTLAND – Leonard J. Erhard, 35, of Webster Road, Westfield was charged with criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument. Deputies on Wednesday at 11:13 p.m. stopped a vehicle on Route 20 for a traffic violation. Erhard, a passenger in the vehicle, was allegedly found to be in possession of multiple hypodermic instruments. He was taken into custody and arraigned in Westfield Court. Erhard was sent to Chautauqua County Jail and will be back in court at a later date.

SALAMANCA – Travis W. Pratt, 34, of Clinton Street was charged with violating probation. He was taken to Cattaraugus County Jail to await further proceedings.
SOUTH VALLEY – Robert L. Houghwot Jr., 38, of Sawmill Run Road, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. Deputies found the marijuana after they responded to his residence for a domestic incident. Houghwot will be in court at a later date.

Anthony R. Ford, 39, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt. Officers on Tuesday at 7:32 p.m. were dispatched to East Second Street for a violation of an order of protection. Ford was found to have allegedly violated the order. He was transported to Jamestown City Jail awaiting arraignment.
WESTFIELD POLICE DEPT.
A 16-year-old youth was charged with second-degree harassment. Officers on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. responded to a domestic incident on Oak Street. Police learned the youth allegedly punched his sister in the face and ribs several times. The youth will appear in village court at a later date.
ELLICOTT POLICE DEPT.
Josh A. Moore, 32, of Whallen Road, was charged with petit larceny. Police said Moore on Feb. 26 allegedly stole property from Sam’s Club. He appeared in Ellicott Court and was committed to Chautauqua County Jail.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE
Joathylet M. Ruedas, of Winsor Street, Jamestown was charged with petit larceny. Ruedas admitted to taking two gift cards worth $800. Ruedas was issued an appearance ticket and will be back in court at a later date.
Samantha M. Fluent, 27, of Jamestown, was charged with petit larceny. Police said Fluent allegedly stole $45.61 worth of merchandise at Wal-Mart on Fairmount Avenue on Tuesday at 9:55 p.m. She was issued an appearance ticket and will be back in court at a later date.
NEW YORK STATE POLICE
FALCONER – Carrie Mozdy, 53, of Erie, Pa., was charged with driving while intoxicated. Mozdy was stopped on Route 394 in Falconer for a traffic violation. She allegedly failed several field sobriety tests, and was transported to police barracks where she provided a breath sample of .14 percent. Mozdy was processed and issued appearance tickets.

Joseph R. Fernandes, 38, of North Main Street, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and third-degree assault. He was arraigned in Albion Court and will be back in court at a later date.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
David D. Johnson, 44, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree assault. On Monday at 8:13 p.m., officers responded to a report of a domestic incident on Spring Street. Police found a female with visible injuries on her face. Johnson was found to have allegedly punched and kicked her in the face. He was transported to Jamestown City Jail awaiting arraignment. The female was transported to WCA Hospital for treatment.
Jeremy A. Barmore, 26, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree unlawful imprisonment and criminal obstructing of breathing. Officers on Tuesday at 2:18 a.m. responded to Pullman Street for a report of a domestic incident. Barmore was found to have allegedly thrown a female to the ground and held her down. He then stood in the doorway and refused to let her leave. Police said Barmore also allegedly put his hands around the victim’s throat and applied pressure until she couldn’t breathe. Barmore was transported to city jail and held pending his arraignment.
CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
REDHOUSE – Giovanni J. Salmonson, 21, of Allegany was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater and failure to maintain lane. On Sunday at about 2:45 a.m., Salmonson was involved in a two-car accident on Interstate 86. According to police, Salmonson was traveling east when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a guardrail. His vehicle become disabled while remaining in the roadway. He was able to exit his vehicle before a second vehcile struck his car. Following an investigation, deputies found Salmonson to be intoxicated and was taken to Salamanca Police Department and released Monday. Two individuals in the second vehicle were taken to Bradford Regional Medical Center. Salmonson is scheduled to appear in town of Redhouse court on April 15.
CARROLLTON – Ashwin Trivedi, 57, of Richmond, Va., was charged with speeding and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. On Sunday at 6:25 p.m., following a traffic stop for speeding, a check showed two suspensions on his license. He was arraigned and released, and is scheduled to appear in town of Carrollton court at a later date.
PERRYSBURG – Markie N. Graves, 21, of North Road, Perrysburg was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI with a blood-alcohol content .08 percent or greater and failure to keep right following a traffic stop on Railroad Avenue. She was processed and released on appearance tickets, and will be back in town of Perrysburg court at a later date.
ALLEGANY – Michael W. Kosinski, 46, of West Five Mile Road, Allegany was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, unregistered motor vehicle and obstructed plate. He was stopped on Five Mile Road for having an obstructed plate. He is due in town of Allegany court at a later date.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
MAYVILLE – Jackson W. Nolloth, 28, of Hannum Road, Mayville, was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater, following too closely and uninspected motor vehicle. Deputies on Friday were called to investigate a two-car accident. Nolloth was found to have rear-ended another westbound vehicle that was attempting to pull into a driveway. Nolloth was also found to be intoxicated and was taken into custody. He was released with traffic tickets and will be in court at a later date.
HANOVER – Christopher Schroeder, 18, of South Dayton, was charged Sunday with failure to maintain lane and uninspected motor vehicle. Police said Schroeder was traveling eastbound on Route 5 and 20 around 8:30 p.m. when he allegedly attempted to make an unsafe left-hand turn into a gas station. Another vehicle was traveling westbound and was unable to avoid the collision. Both were treated at the scene by Irving and Silver Creek fire departments and transported to Lakeshore hospital for evaluation. Schroeder was issued traffic tickets and is to appear in Hanover Court at a later date.

Daisy M. Jorge, 43, of Cross Street, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt. Police on Saturday around midnight were dispatched to a report of an order of protection violation. It was learned that Jorge had violated a valid order of protection. She was transported to Jamestown City Jail and was awaiting arraignment.
Carlos M. Pagan, 46, was charged with second-degree obstructing governmental administration. Officers on Saturday were investigating a domestic incident where they were attempting to locate Pagan. Pagan exited a rear door and fled on foot from the scene. He was captured a short distance later and transported to City Jail where he was awaiting arraignment.
Chad R. Dallas, 29, of Frewsburg, was charged with driving while intoxicated, operating without headlights, failure to signal a turn and refusal to submit to a breath screening device. Police on Saturday at 1:22 a.m. observed a vehicle on West Third Street traveling without headlights. It was later found that Dallas was intoxicated. He was transported to City Jail where he refused to submit to a chemical test. Dallas was awaiting arraignment.
Shari M. Bentley-Matecki, 49, was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Officers on Sunday at 10:17 p.m. responded to East Fourth Street with Alstar Ambulance for a report of a disorderly woman and an unresponsive male who had fallen. Police said the couple were waiting for a cab when the male fell. Police found Bentley-Matecki in the cab yelling and swearing and fighting with officers. She was transported to City Jail and was awaiting arraignment. The male was transported to WCA Hospital.

GREAT VALLEY – Leslie A. Finch, 22, of Killbuck, was charged with failure to maintain lane and driving while intoxicated. Officers responded March 21 for an accident on Route 219 in the town of Great Valley. Finch was found to be intoxicated. She was processed and released and is due in court at a later date.
SALAMANCA – William Rodriguez, 23, of Merdan Street, was charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. Rodriguez was taken into custody on an arrest warrant and is to appear in Cattaraugus County Court at a later date.
Daniel L. Langdon, 44, of Famersville, was charged with second-degree harassment, criminal mischief and endangering the welfare of a child. Police said Langdon on March 20 around 10:30 p.m. forced his way into his ex-wife’s house and began yelling at her. He then slapped the phone out of her hand when she tried calling 911. Langdon was taken into custody, arraigned and released to appear in court at a later date.

KENNEDY – David E. Workman, 58, was charged with felony driving while intoxicated, first-degree aggravated DWI, refusal to take a breath test and failure to wear a seatbelt. Troopers on Friday at 8 p.m. observed a vehicle pulled over onto the shoulder on Route 394. When they tried to see if he needed help, Workman allegedly drove away without wearing a seatbelt. Workman was later found to be intoxicated after failing sobriety tests. It was learned Workman had a suspended driver’s license and a previous DWI conviction within the last 10 years. He was arraigned in Poland Court and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail.
ELLICOTT – Katy G. Dean, 30, of Wilton Avenue, Jamestown, was charged with driving while intoxicated. Troopers stopped Dean on Route 394 for failure to use a turn signal and not having a front license plate. She allegedly failed sobriety tests and later provided a BAC of .10 percent. Dean was issued tickets to appear in Ellicott Court.

SALAMANCA – Jeremy L. Finch, 27, of 3629 N. Authority, Killbuck, N.Y., was charged at 4 p.m. on Wednesday on a warrant issued from Cattaraugus County Family Court after turning himself in to Salamanca Police. He was taken to Cattaraugus County Family Court for arraignment and remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $1,500 bail. He is due back in court at a later date.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
HANOVER – Stephen J. Duman, of Hurlbert Road, Forestville was charged at 6 p.m. on Wednesday with two counts of second-degree menacing. Sheriff’s deputies arrested Duman on charges which stemmed from an incident which occurred on March 4 when he allegedly pointed a gun at two individuals who were attempting to load a disabled snowmobile onto a truck. Duman was issued appearance tickets and will appear in Hanover Town Court at a later date and time.
DUNKIRK – Danielle E. Gee, 19, of 19 W. Main St., Brocton was charged at 11 a.m. on Friday with unlawful possession of marijuana. The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office investigated an incident at 3976 Vineyard Drive in the town of Dunkirk. Following this investigation, Gee was found to be in possession of a small quantity of marijuana. She was arrested, charged, released and will appear in the town of Dunkirk Court on a later date to answer the charge.
LAKEWOOD – A patrol car door was damaged Sunday while transporting Ian Anderson, 37, of Wellsville from the Lakewood-Busti Police Department to the Chautauqua County Jail. According to police, Anderson was repeatedly kicking the back of the door while inside the vehicle. He was charged with third-degree criminal mischief. Anderson will face charges in Busti Town Court.
POMFRET – Wilbur Reyes, 26, of 3472 Route 20, Pomfret was charged Friday with criminal obstruction of breathing, second-degree harassment, endangering the welfare of a child and resisting arrest. After an investigation it was found that Reyes had choked, pushed and punched a 16-year-old at his residence. While attempting to serve a warrant issued for Reyes he resisted. Reyes was arraigned in the Town of Pomfret Court and committed to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash/$10,000 property bail.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Randy S. Smith, 40 and Robin L. Smith, 39, both of Jamestown were charged at 4 a.m. on Friday with third-degree assault. Jamestown Police officers were dispatched to a Stowe Street address for a domestic. When they arrived on the scene they located Randy Smith and Robin Smith who were both involved in a physical altercation. Upon further investigation, officers determined that Robin Smith assaulted Randy Smith. After the altercation, Randy Smith threw a cellphone at Robin Smith causing her injury. Both were arrested, charged and transported to the City Jail where they are currently being held without bail, awaiting arraignment.
Joshua A. Howard, 30, of Warren was charged at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday as a with fugitive from justice. Officers received a tip that Howard was a 284 S. Main St. Howard had a valid Pennsylvania arrest warrant for a burglary charge. Officers were able to locate him and he was transported to the Jamestown City Jail. Howard was charged and was held pending arraignment.
NEW YORK STATE POLICE
Carl Faison, 45, of Jamestown was charged with criminal contempt second on March 17. New York State Police received a complaint from an individual in Randolph who reported that Faison was at her neighbor’s residence, which was in violation of an order of protection her neighborhood had against him. After checking to verify the order of protection was valid, Faison was arrested and processed at the state police barracks in Jamestown, issued an appearance ticket and will appear in the Town of Randolph Court on a later date.
POMFRET – William Larson, 21, of Dunkirk was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana at 9:45 p.m. on Thursday. Fredonia Troopers stopped for speeding on Route 20 in the town of Pomfret. Troopers allege that Larson was traveling at a speed of 53 mph in a 40-mph zone. Upon interviewing him, the smell of marijuana was emanating from the vehicle. Larson was found to be in possession of three marijuana joints. Charges will be answered at 6 p.m. on April 2 in the Town of Pomfret Court.

CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
ELLICOTTVILLE – Jason W. Lepp, 41, of Patricia Avenue, Kitchner, Ontario, was charged was driving while intoxicated. Deputies on Tuesday at 11:17 p.m. stopped Lepp after he failed to signal at an intersection. He was then observed driving his vehicle into a snow bank. Police were advised Lepp’s license had been suspended and he was found to be intoxicated after field sobriety tests. He was given appearance tickets and is due back in court at a later date.
RANDOLPH – Joseph D. Nottingham, 33, of Hall Street was taken into custody Tuesday for being a fugitive from justice stemming from a warrant from Florida. He was arraigned in Napoli Court and taken to Cattaraugus County Jail without bail.
OLEAN – Jesse J. Conner, 33, of North Third Street was charged with fourth-degree welfare fraud, fourth-degree grand larceny, four counts of first-degree offering a false instrument for filing, petit larceny and fifth-degree welfare fraud. Conner was charged after it was reported he did not notify social services that he was no longer employed while he continued to receive day care assistance. He was issued an appearance ticket.
SALAMANCA – Carli D. Oldshield, 26, of South Loop Road, Steamburg was charged with third-degree assault. Oldshield was taken into custody on a warrant from Salamanca. She was released to appear in court at a later date.
SALAMANCA – Elizabeth E. John, 26, of Old Route 17, was charged with third-degree assault. John was taken into custody on a warrant from Salamanca. She was released to appear in court at a later date.
SALAMANCA – Edward L. Buffalo, 39, of South Loop Road, Steamburg, was charged with third-degree assault. Buffalo was taken into custody on a warrant from Salamanca. He was released to appear in court at a later date.
SALAMANCA – Autumn A. Curtis, 21, of South Loop Road, Steamburg, was charged with third-degree assault and second-degree menacing. Curtis was taken into custody on two warrants issued from Salamanca. She was released to appear back in court at a later date.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
KIANTONE – Matthew W. Fowler, 18, of Bemus Point was charged with not stopping at a stop sign. Deputies on Monday at 6:04 p.m. investigated a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Donelson and South Main streets in Kiantone. Fowler was traveling south on Main Street when he failed to stop at a stop sign. He struck an eastbound vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was taken to WCA Hospital for minor injuries. Fowler was uninjured, and will appear in Kiantone Court at a later date.
MAYVILLE – Alex Lescynski, 18, was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and fourth-degree possession of stolen property. Deputies on Feb. 20 were notified that a snowmobile was stolen. An investigation led to the recovery of the item. Lescynski was charged and arraigned in Chautauqua Court. Lescynski was released under supervision of probation.

OLEAN – Brian J. Bliss, 31, of North 15th Street, was charged with petit larceny. Deputies said Bliss took a gift card worth $473.38 without permission. He was taken into custody and released with appearance tickets. Bliss is due back in court at a later date.
SALAMANCA – Jennifer S. Goode, 40, South Main Street, was charged with petit larceny. Goode was taken into custody on a previous incident at Holiday Valley Ski Resort where she was giving out ski passes. She was released and will be back in court at a later date.
SALAMANCA – Ronald J. Weston, 54, of Burlington, Ontario, was charged with third-degree unlawful fleeing police, aggravated DWI with a BAC of .18 percent, failure to keep right and two counts of speeding. Deputies on Sunday stopped Weston after he was spotted driving 100 mph. He accelerated when police tried to pull him over. Weston was being held on bail to return to Salamanca Court.
SOUTH DAYTON – Daniel E. Gleason, 30, of Church Street, was charged with third-degree assault. Gleason was issued an appearance ticket and will be back in court at a later date.
SALAMANCA – Bernard Isaac Jr., 30, of Cottage Avenue, was charged with unlawful growing of marijuana and unlawful possession of marijuana. An investigation was conducted by members of the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office, State Police and the regional drug task force. Isaac will be in court at a later date.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE
Ian M. Anderson, 37, was charged with petit larceny. Police on Sunday were sent to Arrowmart on West Fairmount Avenue in Lakewood to investigate a subject that walked into the store, grabbed beer and left without paying. Anderson was found a short time later with the help of witnesses. Anderson was arraigned in Busti Court and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail.
Rachel M. Rodriguez, 19, Pullman Street, Jamestown, was charged with petit larceny. Officers on Saturday at 6:18 p.m. were dispatched to Wal-Mart for a shoplifting. Rodriguez was charged and issued an appearance ticket. She will be in court at a later date.

Nathaniel J. Crowder, 24, of Lakeview Avenue, Jamestown, was charged with driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater and insufficient headlights. Crowder was observed driving on Saturday without headlights on. He was found to be intoxicated and released to answer the charges at a later date.

Jermin M. Strickland, 31, of Meadow Lane, was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se and unsafe starting. Police on Sunday at 3:10 a.m. observed a vehicle at a stop light spinning its tires, causing smoke and noise. Strickland was found to be intoxicated when questioned. He was taken into custody and transported to City Jail without incident. Strickland was awaiting bail.
Juan Mendez Jr., 36, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation. Officers on Saturday at 2:41 a.m. responded to Price Street for a domestic incident. It was found that Mendez had damaged property in the residence and choked a female. He was transported to Jamestown City Jail and was awaiting arraignment in City Court.
Justin R. Samuelson, 26, was charged with driving while intoxicated, moving from lane unsafely and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle. Police on Saturday at 9:57 p.m. responded to Willard Street for a report of an accident. Officers observed a vehicle with heavy damage. Samuelson was found to be intoxicated and his blood alcohol level was found to be almost twice the legal limit. Samuelson was awaiting arraignment in City Jail.

BROCTON – Cody D. Gustafson, 23, of Moore Road, Mayville, was charged with DWI and DWI per se. Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident on Sunday at 3:55 a.m. and found a car on its side. Moore was found to be intoxicated and will be in court at a later date.
DUNKIRK – Arsenio Collazo, 29, and Krizya Y. Collazo, 23, both of East Lake Road, were charged with third-degree welfare fraud, misuse of food stamps and first-degree offering a false instrument for filing. Police said both subjects from May 2012 through September 2012 failed to report employment for Arsenio Collazo. SINCLAIRVILLE – Andrew Goslin, 31, of Cheektowaga was charged with driving while intoxicated. Troopers on Saturday pulled Goslin over on Route 60 for a traffic violation. Goslin failed several field sobriety tests and was transported to police barracks. He provided a blood alcohol content of .09 percent. Goslin was processed, issued appearance tickets and will be in Charlotte Court at a later date. He was released to a sober individual.
GERRY – Rodney Clyburn, 32, of Dunkirk was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. Police on March 12 stopped a vehicle for the passenger littering. Troopers could smell marijuana emanating from the vehicle. A bag containing marijuana and a marijuana cigarette were located inside the vehicle. Clyburn was issued an appearance ticket to appear in court at a later date.

ELLINGTON – Adam J. Dimpfl, 20, of East Randolph was charged at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, with burglary second and petit larceny. The charges are the result of an investigation into an incident which occurred around 10:30 p.m. on March 7 in a residence on Waterboro Hill Road, Ellington. Deputies allege that Dimpfl entered a residence while the occupants were away and stole property from the home. He was arraigned in the town of Ellington Court and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of bail.
Elizabeth A. Sorvelli, 39, of Russell was charged at 4:05 a.m. on Friday, with driving while intoxicated, blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater and speeding. A sheriff’s patrol stopped a vehicle for speeding on Foote Avenue, Jamestown. The vehicle operator was identified at Sorvelli. Following a roadside investigation, she was arrested and taken into custody for processing and charged. Sorvelli was later released with appearance tickets to appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date.

LAKEWOOD – Christopher J. Diers, 30, of 16 Price St., Jamestown was charged at 11 a.m. on Friday on a warrant for petit larceny following an incident on Monday in Wal-Mart, where he stole merchandise valued at $75.29 from the store. He is due in the Town of Busti Court on Thursday for arraignment.

YOUNGSVILLE – Richard Delcan Olson, 31, of Youngsville, was charged on Monday with terroristic threats, simple assault two counts and harassment two counts. The incident occurred between 4-5 a.m. when Olson assaulted a 34-year old female and a 26-year old female, both of Youngsville, with what is being described as a full unopened beer can, with Olson striking both women with the weapon. Both sustained marks and lacerations from the assault. Olson, during the assault, was threatening continued physical harm to both women. He was arraigned before District Justice Cindy Lindemuth and was committed to the Warren County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail. Further court action is pending.

SALAMANCA – Sheila D. Grimes was charged at 5:48 p.m. on Tuesday, with littering and disorderly conduct. She will appear in City Court at 9 a.m. on Wednesday.
SALAMANCA – Autumn M. Vogle was charged on Tuesday with a dog at large. Vogle allowed her dog to run loose on Salamanca city streets without being restrained by a leash and the animal bit a male who was walking in the area. He was not injured. Vogle will appear in city court at a later date.
SALAMANCA – Jay B. Clute was charged at 8:53 p.m. on Tuesday, for a violation of the local law pertaining to code enforcement/property maintenance. He will answer the summons in city court at a later date.
SALAMANCA – Ryan J. McKenyon, of 37 Ambuski St., Salamanca was charged at 1:23 p.m. on Wednesday, outside his residence for unlawful possession of marijuana after officers conducted a traffic stop stemming from a complaint. McKenyon was released on an appearance ticket and will appear in city court at 9 a.m. on March 22.
SALAMANCA – Yancey A. Dowdy, 25, of Salamanca was charged at 10:08 p.m. on Monday with disorderly conduct. He was issued an appearance ticket at a later date.

Michael J. Reale, 27, of Jamestown was charged Wednesday with speed not reasonable and prudent, and possession of a hypodermic instrument. According to police, at 7:48 a.m., Reale was traveling east on East Fairmount Avenue when he attempted to make a righthand turn onto Mall Boulevard. Due to his speed, Reale was unable to complete the turn. He traveled through the intersection, jumped the curb on the southeast corner, where the vehicle collided head on with a light pole. He was transported to WCA Hospital for minor injuries and later charged.

Steven R. Villa, 53, of Charles Street, Jamestown was charged with second-degree aggravated harassment. Police said Villa allegedly called a Lakewood resident on March 8 and left several threatening and harassing messages. A warrant was issued for Villa’s arrest, which was served Wednesday at 10 a.m. He was arraigned and will be back in court at a later date.

James C. Schnars III, 41, of Newland Avenue was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, reckless driving, speeding consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle and driving while intoxicated. Police on Tuesday at 3 p.m. observed a vehicle coming into the village at 72 miles per hour in a 30-mph zone. Schnars was allegedly found to be intoxicated. He was arraigned in court and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail.

Daisy M. Jorge, 43, of Cross Street was charged with second-degree criminal trespass. Officers on Tuesday at 8 p.m. responded to a residence on Victoria Avenue for a report of a domestic violence incident. Police said Jorge allegedly refused to leave and remained unlawfully in the victim’s apartment. She was transported to Jamestown City Jail without incident.
Moises J. Castro-Algarin, 32, of Jamestown was charged with obstructing governmental administration and unlawful possession of marijuana. Police on Tuesday at 4:25 p.m. conducted a vehicle stop on VanBuren Street near North Main Street. Police said Castro-Algarin exited the vehicle and began to flee the area on foot. He was apprehended after a brief pursuit and was allegedly found to have a small amount of marijuana. He was transported to City Jail without incident and was being held pending arraignment.

SHERIDAN – Sue A. Carlson, 58, of Dunkirk was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. Deputies on Monday at 7:30 p.m. were dispatched to a one-car property-damage accident on Route 20 in the town of Sheridan. Carlson was allegedly found to be driving on a suspended license. She was released with traffic citations to appear in court at a later date.
POMFRET – Tye A. Kenny, 29, of Central Avenue, Brocton, was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. Deputies said Kenny on Jan. 10 was allegedly in possession of a check that was stolen and forged. He will be back in court at a later date.
MAYVILLE – Caz G. Stepp, 40, of Euclid Avenue, Jamestown, was charged with second-degree harassment. According to police, on Wednesday at 10:55 a.m., Stepp allegedly struck a victim in the left shoulder, arm and leg, causing the victim pain. Stepp was also allegedly found to be intoxicated and would not cooperate with officers. She was arraigned and remanded to County Jail.
HANOVER – Matthew J. Kreuzer, 25, of Angola was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration. Deputies on Tuesday at 10:14 p.m. observed a pickup truck driving in an erratic manner. Kreuzer was allegedly found to have a suspended registration and a warrant for failure to show up in court. He was arraigned in Hanover Court and committed to County Jail.

JAMESTOWN – Michael Johnson, 27, was charged with issuing a bad check. Troopers received a complaint in December from a business owner in Kennedy who claimed Johnson mailed him a check that came back declined. Officers on Saturday at 3:32 a.m. observed a vehicle swerving as it traveled on Falconer Street. Williams was found to be intoxicated and in possession of marijuana. He was transported to Jamestown City Jail and was found to have a blood alcohol content more than double the legal limit. Williams was awaiting arraignment.

CARROLL – William A. Swagler, 44, of Erie, Pa., was charged with driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater, speeding and disobeying a stop sign. Deputies on Saturday at 2:16 a.m. responded to a single vehicle crash in the town of Carroll. Swagler was found to have been traveling at a high rate of speed and crashed through a guard rail on Route 62. Swagler was found to be intoxicated and was taken into custody for processing. He was released to a third party and will appear in court at a later date.
JAMESTOWN – Jose L. Maisonet, 18, was charged with disorderly conduct. Deputies on Friday at 2:05 a.m. observed a male subject in the roadway on East Second Street that was obstructing traffic. Maisonet was seen slapping a vehicle that had slowed due to his presence in the roadway. Maisonet will issued an appearance ticket and will be in court at a later date.

JAMESTOWN – James Brown, 39, of Baker Street, was charged with driving while intoxicated. Brown on Saturday was stopped for moving from a lane unsafely on Route 394. He was found to be intoxicated and had a blood alcohol content of .12 percent. Brown was released with traffic tickets and will be back in court at a later date.
KIANTONE – Kevin Haglund, 32, of Maple Street, Jamestown, and Dominique Leeper, 27, of Arden Parkway, Jamestown, were charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. Both suspects on Friday were found in possession of less than 25-grams of marijuana in their vehicles. Haglund and Leeper were released on appearance tickets and will be back in court at a later date.
JAMESTOWN – Jeffrey Young, 54, of Merriam Street, Ellicott, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Troopers on Friday saw a switch blade in Young’s vehicle during a traffic stop. He was processed at police barracks and arraigned in Jamestown City Court. Young was remanded to Chautauqua County Jail.

HANOVER – Nicole Hill, 26, of Silver Creek was charged at 12:18 a.m. on Tuesday, with driving while intoxicated common law, and DWI per se .08 percent blood alcohol content or higher. The sheriff’s office received a call about a suspicious vehicle that pulled into a grape field on Christy Road, Hanover. Deputies arrived a short time later and Hill was found to be the operator of the vehicle. Further investigation into the stop led to the charges. She was issued traffic tickets and is to appear in Hanover Town Court at a later date.
CHERRY CREEK – Diane M. George, 40, of 11585 Fancher Hill, Cattaraugus, was charged at 3:53 a.m. on Thursday with driving while intoxicated. Deputies responded to a check the well-being call on Route 83, Main Street, village of Cherry Creek. Upon arrival, deputies found the vehicle in a ditch with a female in the driver’s seat. Subsequent investigation led to charges. George will appear in court at a later date.
POMFRET – A 17-year-old youth, East Main Street, Fredonia, was charged at 9 p.m. on Thursday with unlawful possession of marijuana. Sheriff’s deputies and state police responded to a vehicle in a ditch on the Fredonia-Stockton Road in the town of Pomfret. During the investigation it was discovered that one of the passengers was in possession of marijuana. The youth was issued an appearance ticket and will answer the charge in Pomfret Court.

Frederick G. Butler Jr., 29, of Elmira, N.Y., was charged at 1:59 a.m. on Friday with aggravated driving while intoxicated, DWI, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, operating motor vehicle with no headlamps, moving from lane unsafely and open container of alcohol. Jamestown Police Department officers conducted a vehicle stop of a vehicle operating with no headlamps on and moving from land unsafely on James Avenue. Upon further investigation, it was found that Butler, the driver, was operating the vehicle while intoxicated. He was taken into custody and upon further investigation it was revealed his blood alcohol was twice the legal limit and his license to be suspended. He was charged and is currently awaiting arraignment by Jamestown City Court.

Aaron R. Johnson, 36, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt. On Wednesday at 6 p.m., officers responded to a call for an unwanted, intoxicated male. Police found there was a valid order of protection for Johnson to stay away from the city residence. Johnson was transported to Jamestown City Jail and was held pending arraignment.

Leanne J. Dowdall-Moore, 26, of Route 394, Mayville, was charged with larceny. Police on Feb. 27 were notified by Sam’s Club security that merchandise had been stolen from the store. Dowdall-Moore was later located and taken into custody on an arrest warrant. She was arraigned in Ellicott Court and released to appear back in court at a later date.

Police said Miller was living out of state from March to July 2012 and allegedly received $1,000 in SNAP/food stamp benefits that she was not entitled to receive. She is scheduled to appear in City of Jamestown Court at a later date.
HANOVER – Brandon P. Orlando, 28, of Fredonia was charged with failure to keep right, driving across hazard markings, driving while intoxicated common law and DWI per se. On March 1 at 8:21 p.m., deputies observed a vehicle on Route 39 in the town of Hanover cross the center line and hazard line of the roadway several times. Following a traffic stop, Orlando was allegedly found to be intoxicated. He was released with traffic citations and will be back in Town of Hanover Court at a later date.

FALCONER – James L. Guthrie Jr., 46, of 121 Falconer St. was charged with second-degree harassment following an incident that occurred Feb. 26 at Waddington’s Bar on West Main Street. Police said Guthrie allegedly grabbed another male by the throat and pushed him against the wall. He was issued an appearance ticket for Ellicott Court.
Henry T. Reyes, 33, of 425 Hunt Road, Jamestown, was arrested Tuesday on a warrant for second-degree aggravated harassment. The charge stems from an incident that allegedly occurred in February. He was arraigned in Ellicott Court and released to appear back at a later date.
Demarco D. Lathan, 24, of 840 E. Second St., Apt. 1, Jamestown, was arrested Tuesday on a warrant for charges stemming from an accident that occurred on Jan. 13. Lathan was charged with unlicensed operator, uninsured motor vehicle and suspended registration. He was arraigned in Ellicott Court and released to appear back in court at a later date.

ASHFORD – Frank M. Quagliana IV, 23, of 8361 West Main Road, Westfield, was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI common law and failure to keep right. Quagliana was stopped at 1:56 a.m. on March 2 on Route 219 in the town of Ashford for failure to keep right. He was found to be intoxicated. Quagliana was released with appearance tickets.
HINSDALE – Dylon E. Howard, 19, of 3869 Canal Street, Apt. B, Hinsdale, was taken into custody on a bench warrant. She was turned over to Olean police for processing.
OTTO – Jonathan R. Huchingson, 26, of 9206 Cattaraugus-Otto Road, Otto, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of stolen property. Huchingson was stopped on Feb. 28 and found to have a stolen motorcycle in a UHaul truck. He was arraigned and remanded to Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $1,500 bail.

Hugh J. Sowers, 60, of 483 Route 39, Forestville was charged Saturday with second-degree harassment, driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI and consuming alcohol in a vehicle. The charges stem from an investigation into an altercation that took place on Route 39 in the Town of Hanover around 4 p.m.. Deputies received information that Sowers was the suspect involved and that he fled the scene in his vehicle. He is scheduled to appear back in the Town of Hanover Court at a later time and date to answer the charges.
CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
James Hill, 22, of 42 West St., Cattaraugus was charged Thursday with second-degree criminal contempt and second-degree aggravated harassment. The charges stem from an incident that occurred in the town of Great Valley. Hill is due back in the Town of Great Valley Court at a later date.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
FORESTVILLE – Timothy G. Winford, 30, of 927 Route 39, Forestville was charged with first-degree felony unlawful imprisonment, second-degree reckless endangerment and third-degree assault. On Thursday at approximately 1 a.m., police located Winford at his residence and took him into custody without incident on a warrant from Chautauqua County. He was committed to Chautauqua County Jail without bail and will be back in court at a later date.
PORTLAND – James Seavy Jr., 48, of Route 20, Portland was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. On Monday at 10:27 p.m., deputies were speaking with Seavy regarding an unrelated incident when it was discovered was allegedly in possession of a small amount of marijuana. He was issued an appearance ticket and will answer the charge in Town of Portland Court at a later date.

Renee D. Purdy, 24, of 78 Hazzard St., lower apartment, Jamestown was charged with petit larceny following an incident on Tuesday. Purdy was allegedly found shoplifting from Kmart in Jamestown. Purdy was issued an appearance ticket and is due back in Town of Ellicott Court at a later date.
