JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT — Shakira L. Cuevas-Garcia, 23, of Jamestown was charged with driving while intoxicated and other violations. At approximately 4:05 a.m. Sunday, officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of East Second Street and Hopkins Avenue. A subsequent investigation revealed that Cuevas-Garcia was operating the vehicle while intoxicated. Cuevas-Garcia was taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. JAMESTOWN POLICE - Jami Slater, 35, was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs at 10:40 p.m. July 24 after officers responded to a request to check the well being of a person at the Tim Hortons restaurant in Brooklyn Square after it was reported there was a woman in a car slumped over the steering wheel. Slater was charged, arraigned and released to be in court later.
