JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Joseph R. Piazza, 42, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree criminal tampering. Shortly after 9 a.m. Saturday, officers of the first platoon responded to an east side residence for a reported disorderly person complaint. Through investigation it was determined that Piazza tampered with the property of an elderly victim. Piazza was located a short distance away from the scene and taken into custody without incident. DUNKIRK - A Fredonia woman has been charged after a months-long investigation into the theft of funds from nursing home patients. Around April 22, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Investigators received a complaint regarding the issue at a facility in the town of Dunkirk.
