Beardsley, 33, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree criminal impersonation, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and a traffic ticket failure to use sidewalk at 1:08 a.m. Wednesday after officers patrolling the area of Winsor Street saw a man walking in the road and conducted a street check. JAMESTOWN POLICE - Michael S. Cook, 53, of Jamestown was charged with first-degree criminal contempt at 2:49 a.m. Tuesday after officers conducted a street check on Michael S. Cook and another individual. They were located behind a business on the east side of Jamestown. Upon investigation it was determined there is a valid stay-away order of protection for Cook to stay away from the other person. Cook was taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT — STOCKTON – Around 3:45 p.m. Saturday, deputies conducted a traffic stop on Route 380 near Munger Road. The operator was identified as Peter G. McTaggart Jr., 35 of Jamestown. Through an investigation it was discovered that McTaggart was in violation of a duly served court order out of the city of Jamestown.
