A 27-year-old exited a city home about 20 minutes after police received several 911 calls for shots fired Wednesday. No weapon was located following a subsequent search of the home at 34 Regent St.

Officers responded at about 11 a.m. and, in addition to the gunshot complaints, learned of a possible domestic incident within the residence.

In a news release, Jamestown police said officers arrived at the Regent Street home and attempted to get two occupants to come outside. After about 20 minutes, a man identified as 27-year-old Aaron A. Johnson exited the residence and was taken into custody.

A woman also was spotted in the back of a patrol vehicle.

A witness told The Post-Journal they heard several gunshots come from the property, which prompted them to call 911. The witness said the shots were loud and clearly from a firearm.

Johnson is facing a single charge of second-degree obstructing governmental administration.

Officers searched the home after obtaining a warrant. No firearm was located, the department said in its news release.

Johnson was being held Wednesday for arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

Jamestown police said the investigation remained ongoing and that additional charges were pending.
