A command center with dive team members was set up on Chautauqua Avenue in Ashville, with Lakewood, Bemus Point and Panama volunteer firefighters assisting as well as the New York State Police. Several search and rescue boats could be seen throughout the Ahsville Bay area.
Dive teams remained on the water past 5 p.m. However, Quattrone said the search was expected to be called off before severe weather moved into the area.
