P-J Expands Online Offerings To Readers
After updating post-journal.com in 2016 and its iPhone and Android apps in 2017, The Post-Journal is making it easier to have news delivered to readers’ email inboxes through post-journal.com.
Readers simply go to www.post-journal.com and scroll down the page slightly and on the right side of the page they will see a box that is titled “newsletter.” Just below that box is a space to enter an email address. By entering an email address, the reader is asking to receive daily headlines and breaking news sent to the inbox of the email provided everyday.
Once the email is submitted the reader will receive an email from The Post-Journal to verify and authenticate the email address. After this easy process, daily headlines will be sent to the inbox of the e-mail address and include the day’s top news and sports headlines as well as breaking news as it is published.
Two mobile apps are available in Apple’s App Store. One app can be found by searching for “The Post-Journal.” This app is the mobile version of the web site and makes stories available to readers, allows readers to quickly scan the most popular Post-Journal stories at any given time and has quick links to The Post-Journal’s full website, Facebook and Twitter pages.
Another app available is found by searching for “The Post-Journal All Access.” This app is available for home delivery print subscribers who have free access to the newspaper’s online content and the E-Edition, with which this app is connected. The E-Edition is available on desktop and all mobile devices and brings readers each day’s paper in the format, an exact replica of the printed edition in digital form, they enjoy in the print edition but with the ability to save pages, photos, clip stories, save or send to a friend and save stories to their computers. If a reader is not a print subscriber, there is a digital only subscription available as well.
