A 2-month-old Jamestown child is being treated in Buffalo Children’s Hospital while a Jamestown man faces charges for the incident.

Jamestown police report that Rory S. Davis Jr., 30, of 98 Myrtle St., Jamestown, was charged with second-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child at 1:24 a.m. Tuesday after officers were sent to 98 Myrtle St. for a possible child abuse complaint. An infant in the home was taken to UPMC Chautauqua WCA Hsopital with serious injuries. The infant was taken to Buffalo Children’s Hospital for more trauma care and is listed in very serious condition.

Davis was charged and taken to the Jamestown City Jail until he can be arraigned.
