Murder Suspect Held Sans Bail

Brian Korzeniewski

A city man charged with murder over the weekend is being held without bail.

The arraignment of Brian M. Korzeniewski was held in Jamestown City Court on Sunday morning before the Hon. Fred Larson. Korzeniewski is currently being held in the Chautauqua County Jail, where he was booked shortly after arraignment, without bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Friday.

Korzeniewski, 51, is facing one count of second-degree murder following an incident early Saturday in which Jamestown police officers discovered the body of Michael A. Bull laying face down in an apartment complex parking lot on the 500 block of East Sixth Street. Bull was located between two parked sedans and was found to have died from blunt-force trauma.

Investigation by Jamestown Police, the Chautauqua County District Attorney’s Office and the Chautauqua County Forensic Team led to the arrest of Korzeniewski hours after.

District Attorney Patrick Swanson said second-degree murder is the only charge Korzeniewski is facing right now.
