Randolph Drug Dealer Netted In Raid

A Randolph man has been apprehended for allegedly selling narcotics out of his apartment.

On Wednesday, an investigation by the Olean office of the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force led police to raid the 106 Hall St. apartment of 27-year-old Scott K. Fairbanks in Randolph.

Inside, police reportedly found six bags of heroin packaged for sale, a small amount of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, as well as drug packaging and scales used for weighing drug products.

Fairbanks was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of drug parahernalia, unlawful possession of marijuana and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Fairbanks was arraigned in Conewango Court and taken to the Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail.

The raid was conducted by members of the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force and Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.
