A two-car motor vehicle accident Thursday sent one motorist to the hospital with minor injuries.
The incident occurred before noon at West Third Street near Fairview Avenue in front of the plaza in the city. Jamestown police are currently investigating what led to the crash that involved a male driver in a white Buick sedan and a female motorist in a blue Honda.
The female was transported by Alstar Ambulance to UPMC Chautauqua WCA hospital with minor injuries.
Extensive damage was visible to the front of both vehicles. The male motorist appeared unharmed.
Westbound traffic was blocked for a period of time on West Third Street as members of the Jamestown Fire Department cleaned up debris and tow trucks pulled the vehicles away.
