Several police agencies converged in the city during Thursday's manhunt.
A male suspect linked to a fatal shooting in the city Thursday is believed to be armed and dangerous — and on the loose.
According to the Jamestown Police Department, the shooting occurred around 9 a.m. at 9 Prospect St., near the parking lot of New Creation Assembly of God church.
The victim, 35-year-old Shari Robbins, was reportedly an employee of nearby Hermitage Ministries. Officials, believing the shooting was not a random act, have identified 36-year-old Keith Robbins as a suspect.
Robbins had been last seen driving a 2004 Ford 250 pick-up truck and turning south on South Main Street from the area of Prospect Street and Prather Avenue. The vehicle was later located on Woodworth Avenue around 11 a.m.
Jamestown police and the New York State Police checked multiple locations in the city — including a 24 Woodworth Ave. residence where the pick-up truck was found — but have yet to locate Robbins.

Robbins is described as 5-feet, 8-inches tall, weighing 175 pounds with hazel eyes and blonde hair. Anyone with information about Robbins’ whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1.
Police said they would not provide further details on the investigation until the suspect was located.
While not yet confirmed by police, information provided by friends of the victim claim Shari Robbins was having domestic issues with Keith Robbins, which included a temporary order of protection leveled against the latter in 2009.
Friends also claim Shari Robbins was using the church parking lot Thursday on her way to work — she was a certified nurses assistant — when she was fatally shot in the head.

On Thursday morning, all Jamestown Public Schools buildings were put on lockdown as a safety precaution. Students were later dismissed at their usual times.
School officials released a statement, stating: “While the homicide suspect has not yet been apprehended by the Jamestown Police Department, we believe he is most interested in hiding, so poses little danger to our students. Our interest is in getting our students from the safety of our schools to the safety of their homes as quickly and efficiently as possible.”
David Smeltzer, executive director for Heritage Ministries, posted on the group’s Facebook page a statement — mourning the loss of Shari Robbins following Thursday’s shooting.
“Today, the Heritage family is reeling from the tragic and senseless loss of one of our own, Shari Robbins,” Smeltzer said. “There are no words to express the emotions being felt around our facilities. Shari had such a positive impact on the lives of so many of our residents with her loving and caring ways as both a beautician and certified nurse assistant.”

Police said Keith Robbins, a suspect in Shari Robbins' death, should be considered armed and dangerous.
“We ask for your prayers first and foremost for Shari’s family,” he continued. “I have seen first-hand the devastation her loss has had on them. Second we ask that you remember all of those residents and coworkers who have been profoundly affected by this tragedy. ‘Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with you all.'”
