A former cafe in the southern end of the county has been sold.
The Post-Journal and OBSERVER have been analyzing real estate sales in Chautauqua County and recently looked at the transactions from Aug. 10-13. The county does not provide transaction information, but real estate documents are available for review at the clerk's office.
During this time period, 1993 East Main St. Ext., Ellicott was sold to Dog House on Main, LLC for $139,000. This was the location of Maple Tree Cafe & Ice Cream and later was Ten 25 Cafe, which closed in September 2025.
From Aug. 10-13, there were 10 sales that were $300,000 or higher. They are as follows:

5430 Ellery Centralia Rd., Ellery sold for $609,000.
3951 Fluvanna Townline Road, Ellery sold for $605,000.
Part of 122 Miller Valley Road, Kennedy sold for $585,000.

4128 Alm Road, Ellery sold for $525,000.
6792 Mount Baldy Rd., Westfield for $439,000.
