A farm in the western end of the county has sold for more than a million dollars.
The Post-Journal and OBSERVER have been analyzing real estate sales in Chautauqua County and recently looked at the transactions from June 22-30. The county does not provide transaction information, but real estate documents are available for review at the clerk's office.
During this time period, 7865 Clymer Center Rd., Clymer was sold to SJF Farms, Inc. for $1,242,000. On the county's GIS page, this is listed as a 166 acre cattle farm.
In a separate sale, 101 W. Fourth St., Jamestown was sold to Tag Wag, LLC for $65,000. This is the location of the former Brick City Market and Deli, which closed in 2019.
Including the sale previously mentioned, from June 22-30 there were eight sales that were $300,000 or higher. The remaining top sales are as follows:

- Condominium Unit 1-6, 6 West Terrace Ave., Lakewood sold for $310,000.
- Packard Estates Condominium Unit No. I-11, 6 West Terrace, Lakewood sold for $305,000.
